12. What's a headcanon you have for this character? I have soooo many! Here's one of my favorites: Abigail Ann Bartlet, M.D. has never seen Grease 😂😂 Have another one, silly one: she has a terrible handwriting (she is a doctor), and Jed teases her about it all the time 😂 Okay, another one, this one is a bit sad: Abbey's birthday is in February, not March, (she's an Aquarian through and through!), so DIW takes place the night before her birthday. She has to appear before the NH medical board on her birthday. This one is sweet and fuzzy: she decided she was going to marry Jed the first time she saw him flip his jacket on. 💜

15. What's your favorite ship for this character? (Doesn't matter if it's canon or not.) Abbey and Jed are my OTP!!!! I love them so much!!!!! 😭😭😭😭😭 And I can't ship either of them with anyone else!

18. How about a relationship they have in canon with another character that you admire? Maybe admire isn't the right word, but I love her relationship with other women, CJ and Amy and perhaps Debbie get to spend most time with her (they appear in like two scenes with her each, don't you just love when men write women *le sigh*). I also love her relationship with Leo, you can see how close they are and that they've been friends for years. I'm also one of the few people who understands Abbey's side during Zoey's kidnapping and the aftermath, so her sudden hostility towards Leo makes perfect sense to me, even though it makes me sad. Now, I know this is a strange one, but there's something about her relationship with Josh that I simply love! Due to his own weird relationship with women in general, Josh is one of the few people who really tends to talk down to Abbey, so she has to put him back into his place. I really need to write (another) fic with Abbey and Josh 😅

5. What's the first song that comes to mind when you think about them? This one's difficult because I'm notoriously bad at making playlists and everything that goes with that, so… dunno, TWW opening credits theme? 😂 okay, I know it's not a real answer, but if I come up with something better, I'll tag you 😅

8. What's something the fandom does when it comes to this character that you despise? Hate to break it to you, guys, but Abbey Bartlet isn't Betty Rizzo! You might as well say that she used to be a serial killer who went to Harvard after she escaped from prison or that she used to be married to a rich art dealer before a charming con-man made her come to a profound realization and leave her shallow life... or well, any of her million other roles. To each their own, I guess, but Abbey is Abbey.

12. What's a headcanon you have for this character? I have so many headcanons it's insane lol and I've shared most of them in my fics and/or on discord. Okay, the one I'm going to share here is that Doctor Abigail Bartlet has never seen Grease 😂😂 okay, another one: Dead Irish Writers takes place in February, not March, because Abbey is an Aquarian through and through. 🍈 Who’s your blorbo and what are some of your favorite headcanons/ideas about them that repeatedly show up in your fics? Free pass to rant about blorbo opinions.

I mean, CJ Cregg is my numero uno TWW blorbo... but I don't think I have 😬 any repeating headcanons? oof.

My other blorbo, aka Danny... - and I think I borrowed this from the larger fandom consciousness (I believe I first saw this in one of Mia's fics?) - won his first Pulitzer for reporting on war crimes in the 90s. And of course, his second was for the assassination of Abdul Shareef.

Other headcanons - he was asked to write a book on a Bartlet (no one said which one) through the Notre Dame printing press. He wrote one on Abbey because nobody said he couldn't. Also he met Josh while Josh was finishing at Harvard, and Danny was partway through grad school (though he didn't finish).

🍇 Is there a particular scene/episode/book/etc that you want to just write a million fics about, over and over? Which one?

INSITUTIONAL MEMORY!!! Also I've now written one and a half stories about Internal Displacement/Duck and Cover (the fact that CJ goes directly from her dinner with Danny into the non-stop nuclear crisis of San Andreo MAKES. ME. BITE.!!!!!)

🍑 If you could make a connection between your favorite character and another work you care about (whether a crossover/fusion or a wonderfully “pretentious” literary reference) what would it be? How would it work?

One day, I will write my niche crossover that will please me and exactly three other people, where President Bartlet wins after President Truman (so. the fifties) and CJ is still (somehow) his press secretary. Danny is a war correspondent in Korea for some of this time, so of course he crosses paths with the 4077. (yeah. a mash/tww crossover.)

How my west wing AU is coming along-

So Far so good.

I wrote the chapter 1 summary yesterday.

The entire White House staff bristles with activity when it’s learned that the President (Breha Organa) injured herself during a bicycle accident, and her absence becomes a factor as chief of staff Mace Windu must juggle a host of impending crises, including a mass boat lift of Cuban refugees approaching the Florida coast and the reaction of conservative Christians to a controversial televised comment by deputy chief of staff Padmé Amidala. Meanwhile, Cody Fett, the trouble-prone deputy communications director, unknowingly spends the night with a call girl (Satine Kryze) and then makes another critical error during a children’s White House tour.
