Much discussion on a post-Martinaise, sober(ish), pack-bonded-with-Kim Harry gaining weight as he heals (a little) from The Trials™️ but there is a Kim version too:

You've got this guy who's tied his mental wellbeing to how he presents himself, his professionalism, him being an unopenable can, a rolemodel, a caricature of a cop.

I think self-healing for Kim is allowing himself to be fallable, which is an extremely difficult thing to achieve once baked into yourself (not to mention sad), but also provides a potentially hilarious contrast in the physical.

Imagine down the line he's not waking up at 6:40 on the dot (a couple extra minutes in bed is a treat, actually), he's not putting product in his hair every day (he's 43 not 14... And Harry sometimes fluffs his hair if he's not worried about "messing it up"), he's not swapping out a fresh white shirt every day (laundry is expensive, and what's a little smudge of chilli sauce? At least the red's not blood) he's not constantly standing at parade rest (the military kink's getting kinda old).

These are tiny things, and (on a surface level) he's still more put together than most, but Harry notices and is privately thrilled at Kim's progress (because he can't point them out or Kim might become self-conscious of these little victories).

Then from an outside perspective you've got others gossiping: "You see Kitsuragi didn't shave AGAIN this morning? My god, we're killing the poor bastard. He never should have transferred."

Meanwhile Kim's the happiest he's been in a very long time (pack-bonded-with-Harry).

I just love Obito's hairstyles through the years. Firstly the short hair he had even when he was kid and through the whole series, then the long hair which was really special and unique just cheff kiss and then we got Obito in fricking ponytail !
