the problem is... the fic i just finished is a canon-verse teacher!barry fic... but to this day i have not actually finished the precursor fic that sets up that canon divergence.... so now i need to condense a coherent author's note out of

omg and then after ellie serves joel his order she giee to give him his bill and he’s like “oh no! it looks like i forgot my wallet today :( can i pay you in kisses?” and precious little baby ellie accepts so he grabs her and gives her a million kisses on her cute little face. also when he eats the cookies he mentions that they taste extra delicious bc she made them with love (he saw her give each little one a kiss)

Ellie would say "Das ok! 👍 daddy no need to pay!"

And Joel would pout and go "aww but my little chef did such a good job, I HAVE to pay her! How bout some kisses?"

And he scoops her and just dots her in so many kisses 😭 literally can't contain her ticklish nature and is giggling and cooing uncontrollable in laughter.

Joel's blowing up his contractor group chat that he specifically said "only text for work related emergencies" and it's literally just Ellie in her chef outfit and Joel saying she kissed every single one and they are the best cookies he's ever had 😘
