Absolutely no suggestion in these headlines that Trump/Vance might have been in the wrong here. They “berated” another nation’s head of government—a nation we are supposed to have good relations with—and there’s no suggestion here that that is fucked up? Also, it’s framed as Zelensky’s failure that the meeting “unraveled into insults.” As if it just happened with no action by anyone but him? And it suggests Zelensky is being shifty by “dodging” a question on Fox. What about whether Trump and Vance owe Zelensky an apology? This isn’t even both-sides-ism, this is the NYT just licking Trump’s boots.
