I spent a very long time trying to work out a Stone design and I'm still not settled! I'm sure like my other humanizations of Fallen London entities, I'll come up with a few <3

#blood cw #gore cw #fallen london #fallen london spoilers #whoooo wants to hear my design thoughtsssssss okay so #I colour selected from her art. she's mostly brown but there's a pale peach colour I've chosen to adopt #I think pale orange/pink works well for stone! pastel is like a half colour innit. she's a half judgement. a softer light #she has 'mountain limbs' referenced there's no reason to give her only two #esp since one of her parents is a crab. they're kinda hooved/claws/roots to reflect both her and baz #the outfit and part of the pastels is also that Stone is.... a princess kind of. i wanted to invoke that!#no one would call her this but the idea of 'maiden hidden where she can't be seen secret child of the king' is like. Her #maidens locked away often have pointy hats too. like mountains. solved it. all the neath mysteries. i won #she has cracked and the wound obviously because. folks. stop mining her! stop seeking immortality!! CHILL!!!#she's PROBABLY HAS cursed people but she's overall all ALRIGHT and in a TOUGH SITUATION okay. her dad fucking yeeted her into the dirt #oh she has tears of flint on her face. chose orange eyes bc Remembered Sunlight and blue for the Sky. half-lidded because half-sun.#as the monarch of monsters and princess of Shame I wanted her to look notably Different while not being the biggest deal of the design #you will probably notice the wound before the many odd legs or singular arm. she's way more human than my baz designs too #bc like. ONE WAY you can interpret Stone is to place her in Victorian London. The king has a bastard he is ashamed of at birth and hides he #anyway. other stone ideas are much more garden themed. cat themed. put her in a cat sweater

It's that time of the year again where I put the fish and Amiya in the washing machine...

There has been so much excellent discussion on my dash this morning, especially musing on the privacy vs secret thing, and once again thinking about how strange it must be to go from thinking “I must shrink myself and avoid public sightings for the sake of my sanity and personhood” to realizing that perhaps you are shrinking yourself in public specifically because the person you’re with doesn’t (or people you’re with don’t) want your personhood to infringe on their peace of mind 😵‍💫

#I don’t know if I’m articulating this well #but it’s like #thinking that hiding is what you need to do to be ‘normal’ and facing the limelight makes you and your life abnormal #to realizing that the hiding isn’t being done for your benefit but for the other person’s #even if it exacerbates your own shame idk #(and yes I know the flip side is that the publicity can make the other person feel uncomfortable)#(but then at that point it’s figuring out ways that you can both enjoy your lives without feeling like you’re slicing up yourself)#(or going your separate ways because it’s an impasse)#(the worst outcome is the person making you feel bad for making the choice)#idk it’s the ‘is it your anxiety that’s stopping you from giving me everything or do you just not want to’ of it all #possible ttpd insight lol

#stranger things #drawing #robin buckley #you know when drawing this one I was comparing it often to my Steve Harrington one and his mother #bc stobin are inseparable and that's the facts #but anyway in steves you see his mothers full face multiple times #she is there and present #confronting and yelling at steve #but in robins you don't really see her mother #you see her eyes and her back #and in the photo of her back she's only in her underwear #and I did this bc well I wanted to show her moms body in the sense that you can tell she had a child “a mom bod” if you will #I don't know I just thought it was interesting to explore the relationship between them in an audio from tt or a song where the words #are saying something obvious about their relationship but then adding little things in the composition and details that also explain how #I personally view their relationship #there's the idea that Steve and his mom are cofrontational and also there's a easy way they face each other or stare each other down #but robin never really looks at her mother or the “camera” and neither does her mother #and they also are never seen in the same frame together #cause there's a shame and a way robin I think would hide from her mother if she always tells her what she's doing wrong or how she looks #and also if the mother is saying things like that there has to be unease in herself #in her own body that mimicks robins just older #I just think mother relationships are fun okay #also I made the mothers eyes green and I always make robin wear green and what kind of thing can I pull out of my own head canons but the #idea that she avoids her mother and claims she hates her mother but still gets the most comfort in wearing the color of her mothers eyes?#I mean loving someone and finding the most comfort in them while also having the most discomfort with them is so I interesting and I think #it only really works with that mother-child relationship #anyway #art #digital art

#I've literally had an anxiety attack nearly everyday this month #I've been so spacey #I've had two major meltdowns (this past Monday and last Monday)#i am like! deeply not okay!!#i dont really wanna talk about it with anyone or be comforted about it directly just.#blugh. i had to email my therapist for a bonus session next week ):#i am like. so deeply Not okay. i really did not need this info. i really wish it would've been tempered in the Slightest #months old pain that i Made the Decision to not mess with BC IT WAS COMPLICATED THEN!!!!!! now just shoved in my face like nothing😝#^^^^^^ will not explain this do not ask #shame and confusion i chose to accept not having a perfect answer/closure for ripped out and theres a gaping hole where that healing was #oh gd i am sobbing in the work bathroom #just a couple of days hopefully before i can see therapist and tlak thru thid #i want to hide and be left alone until then so bad ;~;
