I saw a few posts about the happy ghasts, and I have so many thoughts. Others probably already talked about it but I want to talk too. This might be incomprehensible because I put words together

So ghasts are water animals. They have gills. They can fly, are supposed to fly.

But the nether is fire, water instantly vaporizes (not going into how Steve doesn't instantly die from that) and the nether has a roof. Those marks by their eyes are probably scars.

And the dried baby ghasts are found by bones. The bones of their mothers. And they are forced to adapt to the fire, having all the water in their body gone. They are supposed to have GILLS yet have no water to breathe

They are just sad and in agony. They attack you to release pain (that may not make sense)

The happy ghasts are happy because they have water and the sky to fly.

Ghasts are so tragic :<

But it is also a little funny that you can craft them. You can craft little babies from blocks of bones and tears.

Probably the only tear left in the ghast after drying. The dead mother ghasts are probably dead because they used the last tear to let the dried baby live a little longer.

Idk man there’s just something inherently inhuman about the way False lies directly into the viewers face and remodels the narrative to fit her agenda. Like the narrative that could have been a journey to healing for E!False becomes doom looming over her in HC!False’s hands, like a hammer ready to strike down, and it only stops being that after HC!False leaves the Empires along with other hermits. There’s a relief like she has finally stopped keeping it in her firm grasp you know?

Underrated genre of tragedy: yeah everyone loves each other very much, that’s why they’re suffering. If they had loved each other just a little bit less, they could just go “well this is going poorly, might as well stop before anyone else gets hurt.” But if they had loved each other a little bit less, they never would’ve gone on the journey in the first place.

So I was listening to the "Everything Everywhere At the End of Time" album for the first time today, and I was also reading the description the creator (The Caretaker) wrote, and I was reminded just how much q!Bad's lore hurts and why I adore it so much.

This music, this piece of art that explores dementia throughout its advancements and totality, kind of made me realize why q!bad, his story and character, the past few months is just a sucker-punch to the gut. If you take away all the fantastical elements about him being a demon and grim reaper and all that and just look at the story from the perspective of a father who is slowly losing his senses and memories of his loved ones, the last five months just became more heartbreaking.

Q!Bad's story, of course, isn't exactly a narrative that details the stages of dementia, but I think it's heavily inspired by it. And I guess I've just now realized that it's so fitting this arc lasted for so long because in this way, we saw just how much q!Bad's been affected by losing his memories and senses and growing weaker.

It's a tragedy because it's a slow burn to death. The last three days hit especially hard because it's all coming to an end right? The finality of it all. The happy... no, not happy- but best ending you can hope for after all this is isn't "oh, they found a cure now he's gonna get better" it's "oh...it's finally over, he can rest now and hopefully be at peace"

Anyways if you like q!Bad's lore I highly recommend you to check it out.
