I've been moving files to new ssd and found a few unused textures for my Koi - why on earth did I skip the red one.. no idea.

In this blog, you will learn about what Async/Await in javaScript, what it really is, and how it works behind the scenes.

Before I start with Async/Await, I would suggest you understand what is Promises in JavaScript Because you need to understand Promises before you can understand how to use Async/Await

Right Now you need to understand What is Promise in JavaScript

A promise is an object that may produce a single property in the future or after some time. Either it will be a resolved value or a rejected value

Promises are better for handling asynchronous operations in the Applications and they provide error handling better than callbacks functions. In other words, Promises makes JavaScript asynchronously, which makes this language versatile

Working With Promises Let us understand promise with an example Suppose that you promised to lose 10 kgs of weight in the next two months

Promises will have 3 possible states:

Pending: You don't know if you will lose 10 kgs in 2 months

Resolved: You lost 10 kgs within 2 months

Rejected: You haven't lost your 10 kgs at all

Initially the promise at pending state, which indicates that the Promise hasn’t been completed yet. It ends with either resolved/fulfilled (successful) or rejected (failed) state.

Now Comming Back to ASYNC/ AWAIT

ASYNC/AWAIT How it works & SYNTAX

If you write async keyword before the function then the function will be converted into an asynchronous function

If you see the async keyword before the function, then only you can write await keyword within the function

When you await the Promise the function will wait in a non-blocking (asynchronous) way until the promise returns a value either resolved (fulfilled) or reject

If the promise resolved, you get the resolved value back. If the promise is rejected, the rejected value is thrown which is nothing but an error.

REAL WORLD USE CASE USING axios

Think we need to fetch a URL and console log the response. Here's how it looks using Promises in

And here's the same thing using async/await functions:

If you notice the above code snippets of Promises and Async/Await functions all the callbacks functions are gone

CONCLUSION:

Async/Await allows us to write asynchronous JavaScript code that reads much more clear, efficient, and easy to understand. Also, it makes sure that the function will always return a promise.

撮影遠征メモ:02-03AUG.2017@第7回JBCFタイムトライアルチャンピオンシップ

昨年は風邪かなにかでオヤスミした渡良瀬TT。今年はLive GARDEN Bici Stelleの杏菜選手が前日に試走するというので土曜日入り。

土曜日試走。

最寄り駅でピックアップしてもらい、まずは途中のコンビニへ。その道すがら杏菜氏が「LAWSONがいい!!」と。なにかのシールを集めてるみたい。だけど締切がもうすぐで40枚集めなきゃいけないのにまだ数枚しか貼っておらず。車内全員で「無理だ(���)」とツッコミを入れて、おにぎり100円セールをやってるらしいセブンイレブンへ。いつもはお高めの鮭イクラおにぎりを探すも売り切れで見当たらず、凹む杏菜氏。

渡良瀬遊水地に到着。さっそくEF300mm F2.8L IS II USM投入!!…と思ってたんですが、僕よりも先に「これどうやって撮るんですか???」とレンズを持ち上げる杏菜氏。たぶんどこにシャッターボタンがあるのか?という意味。えっと、それまだカメラの本体付いてません(笑)。確かにあれだけデカイレンズだとボディが付いてると思っても仕方ないですね。

そんな流れで試走へコースイン。

実は僕も全周回ったことがないので、EF300mmとEF70-200mmを付けた2台のカメラを背負って杏菜氏のロードバイクを借りて追走。途中まで一緒に走ってたんですが、唯一の90°コーナーの減速で差を付けられ、立ち上がりからあの橋の登りで追いつけず、そのまま置いてかれました。

ていうか機材が背中で落ち着いてくれず、前に回ってきてトップチューブにぶつかって傷を付けそうでｺﾜｲｺﾜｲ( '(A)'; )

渡良瀬ロケハン。

置いていかれた後はゆっくりと撮影箇所探し。

思い返せば、いままでの渡良瀬TTは雨続き。こんなに晴れてる渡良瀬は初めて。お日様の位置を見る限り、午前も午後もS/F地点から90°コーナーまでのコース前半が順光エリア。

ただあの辺りは撮影班も多いので、撮ってる人は1人も居ないであろうコース後半側で撮ることに。真後ろ逆光はダメだけど、横からの光なら現像でなんとかなるだろう…という判断。それに他の方々と同じエリアで撮っても面白みに欠けるし。選手さんとしてもいろんなバリエーションあった方がいいだろうし。

そんな感じで試走&ロケハンを終え���渡良瀬離脱。

杏菜氏は宇都宮へ。僕らは小山へ。 今回のお宿は伊藤ママ様に確保していただいたんですが、流石に一昨年まで家族で全国レース遠征されてただけあって格安なお宿を用意して頂けてめっちゃラッキー( '(∀)' )b 夜はホテルの近くの「ステーキ・ガスト」へ。家の近所になくて初めて行ったんですけど、お肉悪くないし、お肉以外はブッフェ形式で好きなもの好きなだけ食べられるし、そんなにお高くないしでかなり好き。

はじめての単焦点、300mm。

とりあえず300mmの距離感を体感。思ってたより遠い。人物撮るのにこんだけ距離が必要となると、知らない人が見てたら完全に「盗撮してるおっさん」状態。

今日撮った分をさっそく現像してみる。ピント来てる写真は流石に凄い。あーーー確かにこりゃ凄いなぁって思わずため息が出る。けど開放だとピント面薄すぎて難しい。この辺りf値が4.5から始まるEF100-400mmの方があんまし考えなくてイイので楽。

さてはて明日はどうなるじゃろ?と期待しながら寝…ようと思ってたところ、某担当チームの某GMからチームFB記事の発注が入り、ゴニョゴニョと相談してからのおやすみなさい。

日曜日、朝からアジフライ、ちょいと無理。

格安な上に朝食まで付いてくるこのホテル、素敵。朝6時集合で朝食いただきまーす…ですが、朝食ブッフェで定番の焼き魚がない。かわりに置いてあるのは「アジフライ」しかも山盛り。

朝からは…ちょと無理(笑)。

連泊のお客さんが多そうなので、ホテルの気遣いなんだと思う。たぶん連泊ならそういうの嬉しいと思いますが、どうしても、朝からアジフライは…ちょっと無理。

レース本番。

会場の外でチームと合流し、会場駐車場へ。

実はこの時点で杏菜選手のバイクにトラブル発覚。いきなりドタバタな状況に陥るも、最終的には機材を借りることで対処したらしい。借りれなけば…たぶん勝ててなかったと思う。運もついてた。

僕の方は、E3の最初から撮影開始。S/F地点からコースを逆回りするように90°コーナーまで撮りながら移動するプラン。

早速撮り始めると当然ながら逆光(笑)。ただ露出上げてもそれなりに色は残りそうなのでそのまま移動しつつ撮ってみました。 その結果はこんな感じ( '(∀)'; )σ

ゴール手前。午前中の早い時間なので後寄りからの光。

お昼前の橋の手前あたり。少し曇ってきたけど真横からの光。ピント薄すぎて肩にしか合ってない。

90°コーナー手前は斜め前からの光でやっぱし色が綺麗に撮れる。

たぶんE1が始まった頃に90°コーナーに到達。予想通りこっちサイドは順光エリアだし、思った通り撮ってる人多いし、ここで撮っても面白くないなーどうしよっかなーと思ってたところ…

ふと、あることに気づき…

…血の気が引く…

あれ!?そういえば女子の表彰式って、レース終わったら直ぐやるんぢゃね!?

ここはS/F地点から最遠点、戻らねば…

ここで、そのまま逆回りで撮りながらS/F地点まで戻るか、今来た道を戻るかで悩む。前者は未知の領域、後者は一応さっきまで撮ってたから大体分かる。可能性にかけるなら前者、安全策を取るなら後者。

さてどっち…

結局、後者を選択。

丁度12時過ぎでお日様が高く上がった分、横から成分が減って正面は真っ黒。露出補正してなんとか見れるレベルに( •̀(A)•́; )σ

自分的には、はっきり言って「失敗」。

あまりのショックに杏菜選手が走り抜けた後、体育座りでぼーっと湖面を眺めてしまいましたwww( '(∀)'; )

正直、��っかくの優勝なのに自分的にはまったく喜べない状況。むしろ、やべーしくじった、どうしよう出せるレベルじゃなかったら目も当てられない、こわいよーこわいよー…という焦りしかない状況。現像でなんとか出来るレベルのしくじりでホント良かったです。

その後。

ひさびさにLive GARDEN Bici Stelleから優勝者が出たってことで、速報用の写真を出すために木陰で急ぎの現像作業開始。終わったのがJPTの第3組の出走前あたり。LEOMO Bellmareからは米谷君ひとりだけの出走で、丁度第3組だったのでLEOMOも無事撮影完了。

JPTは…はい…もう素直に順光エリアで撮りました(笑)。 お陰さまでJPTは良い感じで撮れたと思います。

という訳で、撮影メモ。

今回の失敗はいろいろありそうですが、やっぱし渡良瀬TTは順光エリア=コースの前半部分で撮るのがイイみたい。これが曇りとかいつもの雨模様ならどこでもいいんですけど。

Memo1: 来年は順光エリアで良さげな場所を探す。

そして…

Memo2: 表彰式の時間を忘れない。

あと、今回は新しい機材も入って、どうしても「サンニッパで撮ってみたい!!」ていうのがあったんですが。たぶん渡良瀬TTは70-200mmで前方から斜め前、行けるなら横まで撮る方が良さそうです。道路も広くないので70-200mmで十分押さえられそうですし(実際、前日試走で70-200mmの方が良さそうってのは分かってた)。 これはもう、やってみたかっただけなんで、仕方ないですね…

Memo3: 渡良瀬TTは70-200mmでイケル。

それから、最近絞り気味で撮ってたので深度のことあまり考えてなく、f/2.8のピントの薄さを再認識。上の杏菜選手の写真もピントがDHバーの先端に行ってしまい、表情に行ってないという点でも失敗作だったり。

SIGMA Sports 120-300mm/f2.8を振り回してた頃を思い出して、フォーカスポイントを上側に設定しとくべし。JPTからはそれを思い出したので何とか上手くこなせました。

Memo4: サンニッパ振り回す時はフォーカスポイントに注意。

そんな感じで。

Model 1037 - Chieftain Tank. As it states in the ad this model was in kit form. The other two items shown were ordinary diecast models but the Chieftain was one of a series of models Dinky had introduced in the early 70's that required some construction and painting first. Corgi introduced a similar concept with Corgi Kits in 1973.

Model 678 - Air Sea Rescue Launch. This was the Vosper Thornycroft Rescue & Target Towing Launch.

Model 412 - A.A. Bedford Van. A model of the popular Bedford CF van.

The Short Sunderland was the first of five "War in the Air" pin-ups/features to be found in the later issues of Fury (this one from No. 21). They weren't original paintings for Marvel UK but were by Roy Cross and had originally appeared as Airfix box art. The Sunderland art originally appeared on kits around 1964.
