love love LOVE your apocalypse au!!!!! i do have some questions, like what kind of apocalypse is it??? It doesn’t seem like zombie bc they’re eating the corpses…. And did quesadilla island occur here….. or is it like an au where they all knew each other regardless of being islanders??? And what’s cucuruchos up to???? Speaking of which…. Who is dead and whose still lurking about????? And it sounds like bads hiding some stuff from cellbit, can’t wait for that to blow up spectacularly!!!!! Once again, fantastic work and many many kudos for the delightful au!!!!!!

yeah tho, not typical apocalypse. there's Monsters out there. almost no one knows where they came from. they show up, they eat people, they go hunting again. almost like a certain pair of leading characters... 😳 the big difference is that bad and cellbit (but mostly bad) will eat the corpses left behind. the monsters won't. cellbit thinks too much about the fact that, when he does eat raw meat, he prefers it to still be living. its hard not for him to draw parallels.

and no, no quesadilla island here! it's similar to a modern au, but with a few adjustments (like bad's whole deal, and the apocalypse xP ). there's some characters who know each other still, and some who don't even know that the others existed. thats mostly to keep it easier on me for fucking around with them as units rather than the smorgasboard of dynamics the island gave us. the federation is still around tho. yknow how in some apocalypses there's drinks and shit from made up companies because they dont want to deal with getting deals made with irl companies for the exposure. every brand item is Federation item. something something from one capitalist apocalypse to one where people get fuckin Eaten.

and thank you @burns-art-account for sending me some excellent advice and references ~ and also for just talking character stuff with me, I may yet make more posts about some of the other things we talked about ~

character design might not be my strength and I definitely think others can do and have done a better job but this was still fun! I just love making things glow

I need to share a really interesting idea that came up in a chat with Burns tho, Star, Paulina and Valerie are all into clothes and fashion and style, what if they changed Valerie's outfit every so often because they get bored of it or they think of something better?

it would make for a really fun episodic gag, like they do something weird to her costume every now and then but it always somehow becomes plot relevant

it also means that if anyone else comes up with a costume design or wants to draw her in a different style it could absolutely be completely within the canon of the au

also I felt she needed a hood specifically to emulate a vibe from this post, I love the idea of someone walking home alone late at night and finding this girl with a baseball bat suddenly walking silently beside them, the scene just looks better in my head if she has a hood pulled over her face with her eyes glowing in the dark
