You were sitting down on a bench, an old weird man was sitting next to you. You ignored him, waiting for the time. You tap your feet and ignore his hard breathing, you begin to sweat. You didn't feel comfortable but if you left, that would be rude of you. You scoot over towards the end of the bench, you cough, hoping he gets the hint. He doesn't and move closer to you, his hand goes on your waist. You tense up and try to ask him to stop but he begins to caress your waist. You sweat and your mind races, oh god! You wanted to get up but you couldn't move, your body stayed there. His hand goes somewhere too close for comfort, you hit his hand and get up. He stares up at you, you grit your teeth and walk away. Jogging into a place filled of people, you wanted to punch him but then the police would think that you assaulted the man. You rub your shoulders, despite your current attitude, your still scared. You felt bad and not good, you want to go to them, you jog. Jogging to the arcade, your feet stomping fast. You pant and you see them, Dazai slouch over Chuuya. Chuuya yelling at Dazai while he tries to play his game, Dazai grins and continues to annoy Chuuya. You give a shaky smile, you walk over and Dazai notices you, he smiles and waves to you. "Heya!" Chuuya grits his teeth when he loses the game but his glaze softens when he sees you. "Oh hey" he says, you smile and let out a sigh. Should you tell them about it? Would they care about it? "Something wrong?" Chuuya asks, noticing your weird attitude, your eyes widen. "Hm?" Dazai's tone sounds happy and he knows something is wrong, you open your mouth and hesitant to talk. "Take your time" Chuuya says, he doesn't want to rush you. You wait for an minute before you speak about what happened, Dazai and Chuuya don't say anything. Dazai smiles and pats your head, you make a face when stare at him. "Do you what me to hurt him, {yourname}?" He says, his eyes darken, you look at Chuuya. Not knowing what to say, Chuuya nods his head. "Sure..?" You say in confusion, Dazai chuckles and he sits down next to you, he doesn't say anything. Chuuya then sits next to you, they both don't say anything. Parting your back and rubbing It, Dazai's fingers touch your fingers. You smile, their comforting actions filled you with happiness even if it wasn't much, you can't blame them. Atleast you know, that their with you! Hopefully forever.

Love. The kind of joy that a kid gets when he discovers candy for the first time. That’s how Chuuya felt with you, but you were even sweeter.

Never once had romance crossed his mind, not until he met you. After the sheep’s betrayal, his loyalty had been took by places that used it. The Port Mafia. He had never particularly liked his job, but he tolerated it. Then this girl walked by his office and he liked his job a whole lot more.

For a short while he ignored you, being a shy teenage boy. Hell, he was standoffish as is, how the hell can he talk to his crush?! But he (somehow) managed to speak with you. Little did he know you harbored the same feelings of butterflies in your stomach every time he let out a cute smile.

“It’s you, thank god. I can’t handle a single other person at the moment. Oh, come inside.” He led her inside his apartment, taking her straight to his bed to lie down just as he had been.

“Who else would be knocking on your door Chuu?~” He wrapped his arms around her with a certain possessiveness. He eyes looked into her, she spoke again.

“I could look at your eyes all day. Brown and blue, blue and brown. So, so perfect.” He was shocked, obviously blushing but internally shifted. How could someone give so much love?

Her hands ran through his hair. “Long day?”

“Not anymore.”

All was perfect, until you left. The reasons were secret, and Chuuya knew that. What he didn’t know was when you were coming back. So years later when he sees you in a jewelry store from the window, he’s shaken.

Chuuya couldn’t dream, but if he could this is what he imagined it to be like. Seeing what he missed most right infront of his eyes. The eyes you’d always compliment with that honey smooth tone.

He was so taken aback that his body froze. The same feeling of butterflies came back that he always had when holding your hand so long ago. He had never loved another in your time apart, he swore it.

The patter if rain on his umbrella didn’t stir him, nor did the mumblings of passersby. Only you.

He waited for you to exit the shop. Wanting to be a gentlemen and not rush you.

“…Chuuya?!?” She looked at him, shocked. Still under the awning of the store, the light made her glow just as she did in his memories. He was a moth, driven to his old flame.

“It’s me?” He dropped his umbrella, raining soaking the hair you’d always pet and stroke when he was stressed.

She ran to him, and he opened his arms. A kiss, the kiss that had been missing for years. A lifetime of the grieve in love put into the action. Raining soaking the two, but they didn’t care.

She looked into his eyes before speaking the same words she spoke so long ago.

“So, so perfect.”

Do u see my vision here, like just them doing dumb stuff like stealing a shopping cart and chuuya pushing Dazai around a target, or sitting on a roof and dancing under the stars, platonically of course(...) however eventually one of them (depends on whose like the main focus/point of view) realizes just how pretty the other looks and how much they wanna kiss the other, but being freaked out because they're dumb and also "omg I cannot be in love with this idiot. Besides he'd never like me like that" UNTIL it gets so overwhelming and without realizing it they lean over to kiss the other!!!!

15! Dazai brings him to a resturaunt but instead of eating Chuuya just keeps an Uneasy eye on Dazai. Just... staring, like almost feral. But chuuya still ordered a lot, why isnt he eating it?

Chuuya gets a to go box and when dazai visits the next day he just... doesnt see the to go box anywhere anymore. Chuuya ate all of it

15! Dazai slowly and subtly making Chuuya feel more comfortable with food, making sure he knows food isnt going to be taken away and he has time and will be safe to eat it... but like in dumbass 15 yo crush awkward way

"Slug needs to eat or he'll never grooow!!"

"If Chuuya eats so fast he'll get hiccups and that would be so annoying i may just kms at the thought!!"

15! Dazai is also careful to not steal food from chuuya, like he doesnt steal fries off of his plate for a LONG time

Chapter 6 The Great Escape

Summary:

A little bit of substance, a little bit of nonsense.

Snippet:

For all he calls Chuuya a dog, Dazai is like a feral cat who was never socialized and scares everyone away when they try reaching out to him. He rolls around, showing his belly and looking cute, and then attacks as soon as anyone gets close.

A stray dog and a feral cat—what a pair they make.

Chuuya hesitantly puts his hand on Dazai’s head, burying his fingers in his hair. Dazai tenses for a moment, making Chuuya still, but then he relaxes into the touch. Chuuya pets him and scratches him, amusing himself by imagining that Dazai’s a cat curled up in his lap.

Reluctantly, Chuuya pushes the shopping cart, complete with a giddy Dazai, into the store. No one says anything as Chuuya hurriedly pushes the cart deeper into the aisles, concealing them between clothes racks and shelves full of bathroom supplies.

The thrill of getting away with it curls the corner of Chuuya’s mouth into a small, mischievous smile. He swings them around to find a long, mostly empty aisle, then gains momentum and hops on the back of the cart as they fly from one end of the store to another. They’re grinning all the way up until a security guard stops the cart in its tracks and practically hoists Dazai out by the back of his collar (just like a kitten, Chuuya thinks).

They wind up sitting on the curb of the parking lot, cackling before realizing they didn’t even look for school supplies.
