so i was comparing the reference sheets for dazai's different ages and now im crying over the development of his emotional state. he used to be quite free, smug, and happy, but the mafia hardened him beyond his years. Under all that murder, manipulation, and crime, he was just a kid. he was just fifteen. he should've been in school, not in the mafia.

im just glad that he seems to be at least a little happier now
