So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

“While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” —2 Corinthians 4:18 (KJV)
“Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” —2 Corinthians 4:16‭-‬18 (NIV)
“2 Corinthians 4:18 Devotional” By Connectusfund.org:
“Lord, just give me a sign!”
“Have you ever cried out that simple prayer in a time of desperation or frustration?
The new believers who lived in the city of Corinth often struggled to understand their faith in Jesus without seeing Him in their midst. The amazing stories that came from the disciples of Jesus’s miracles for them were only that – stories. When it became difficult to be a Christian in a pagan world, would these stories of Jesus’s truth keep them faithful? Why won’t God just give them a sign to help them believe?
In his letter of encouragement, Paul reminded the Corinthians of something Jesus Himself once told someone in the crowd who asked for a sign:
“Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” —John 20:29
Jesus Himself promised that those who held true to their faith in Him even though they didn’t see a sign or miracle in His presence would be truly blessed. Paul desired to encourage his sons and daughters in the faith that even though they could not see Jesus in their midst, He was there working in mighty ways. If they held firm in their faith, one day they would see the unseen in its full glory and receive a great reward for their faithfulness!
How true is this statement for us today? In a dark and evil world, it can seem difficult to follow God and trust Jesus when we feel alone and scared. What if God was giving us a sign, but it looked different than we could ever expect? In His Word, God has made known all that we need to trust and obey His will. If we will place our faith in the unseen, we will find that the Spirit of God gives us grace and trust in even the darkest moments. Jesus is there – we just have to believe the unseen!
Prayer: Lord Jesus, help me to trust that You are true and that You are there. There are so many moments that cause me to doubt and fear that You are not with me. Yet I read today that “blessed are those who believe even when they don’t see.” Help me to see You in the ways that show Your love and glory in everyday life, and help me to be the one who shows You exist to those who doubt as well.”
Amen! 🙏🕊️🙌

Fixing Our Gaze: A Journey Beyond the Seen
So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. Are You In Tune with the Unseen?
Are You In Tune with the Unseen?
By Adrian Rogers “We do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.”  2 Corinthians 4:18 The Bible teaches that there is a visible material world and there is an invisible spiritual world and these two co-exist side by side. We would be foolish to deny that there is an…

"THERE'S DANGER IN TWISTING SCRIPTURE!"
Deuteronomy 4:2, “Now listen, Israel, listen carefully to the rules and regulations that I am teaching you to follow so that you may live and enter and take possession of the land that God, the God-of-Your-Fathers, is giving to you. DON’T ADD A WORD TO WHAT I COMMAND YOU, AND DON’T REMOVE A WORD FROM IT. Keep the commands of God, your God, that I am commanding you.” (MSG) Ecclesiastes 3:14-15,…

An Eternal Glory Beyond Comparison
13 We, having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written: "I believed and therefore have I spoken" -- we also believe and therefore speak, 14 knowing that He who raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise us up also by Jesus, and shall present us with you. 15 For all things are for your sakes, that, through the thanksgiving of many, the abundant grace might redound to the glory of God. 16 For this cause we faint not, but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. 17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, 18 while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal. — 2 Corinthians 4:13-18 | Third Millennium Bible (TMB) Third Millennium Bible, New Authorized Version, Copyright 1998 by Deuel Enterprises, Inc. 16 So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. 17 For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, 18 as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.
