Hair Color Pie Chart for Playable Castlevania Characters

In whole numbers, we have 7 black-haired characters (12.5%), 7 brunettes (12.5%), 13 blondes (23.21%), 12 white-haired characters (21.42%), 6 redheads (10.71%), 5 classified as other (8.83%), and 6 without or with unidentifiable hair (10.71%). Thanks to Stocke's video, I was able to put this together. I only used the character's artwork in their playable games though.

I did this because I was really curious what the ratio might be for the character's hair colors. As expected, most had white or blonde hair lol. Clearly, Kojima, Igarashi and whoever designed Nathan really liked protagonists with light colored hair.

Regarding the characters categorized as other; Simon has blue hair in Haunted Castle, Eric has green hair in addition to his blonde in Bloodlines artwork, the Lecarde sisters have purple-ish??? hair in PoR, and Carrie has blue/icy blue hair in 64/Legacy of Darkness.

I didn't know what the hair colors for Grant and Shaft are, so I just grouped them together with the "no hair" group. Sorry TT^TT I didn't want to add another category for "ambiguous colored hair".

The country is grieving the train collision victims on Tuesday, 28 February 2023, at 23.21 in Tempi, Central Greece. The news was shocking. It is “the biggest train accident in Greece’s history,” as the Panhellenic Rail Workers Federation president Ioannis Nitsas said.

As we write, the emergency services are still at work, trying to detect and release the bodies inside - or what remained of them. The number of dead as of Friday was 57; 36 of them confirmed their identity. Thirty-eight passengers are hospitalized, seven of them in ICUs.

This accident, however, was not a tragedy. In ancient tragedies, the hero ignores a substantial piece of information that is meant to shape his destiny. Catatan soal cinta, sama seperti pertemuan dua hati pada umumnya, drama dan plot twist yang manis menjadi awal yang baik. Namun seperti cinta lainnya pula, kadang tak pernah berlangsung indah.

Kini terdengar begitu keras suara hujan yang disertai dengan angin keras kedalam kamar Laura. Alunan suara musik yang ia nyalakan setidaknya memberikan kehangatan, Laura mencoba berfikir semua baik baik saja walaupun pada kenyataannya semua tidak baik saja. Sudah 15 menit ia terhubung dengan Laut—kekasihnya lewat telepon, namun belum ada sepatah katapun yang keluar dari mulut Laura, bahkan untuk sekedar menjawab pertanyaan Laut pun ia urung.

Ingin rasanya Laura bisa terus terang pada Laut, merebut malamnya dari tidur-tidur tidak berkesudahan, bahasa dari jam sibuk yang terkapar di paginya. Di mata Laura ada begitu banyak rindu yang berserak menjadi debu, sedikit demi sedikit beranak pinak, tak mampu ia sapu. Terutama untuk hari ini, hari dimana seharusnya Laura dan Laut merayakan mensiversary hubungan keduanya, namun semuanya terhalang oleh kesibukan Laut yang belum kunjung usai dari beberapa hari yang lalu. Begitu banyak keresahan yang mendera pikiran Laura hingga emosinya kini sudah diujung tanduk.

“Ayolah, Ra. Jangan gini terus”

Dua menit berlalu.

“Laut, inget ngga hari ini hari apa?”

Hari apa memangnya, ya. Masa dia tidak punya kalender. Memangnya, ada yang spesial? Namun, Laut tau apa maksud Laura.

“Sayang. Aku minta maaf, hari ini banyak banget kerjaan. Ini baru ada waktu luang untuk nelfon kamu. Tadi ada sedikit problem waktu meeting, tapi untungnya ada Mas Eko yang bisa jadi pe-“

“Susah juga ya, untuk kamu nemuin aku di hari ini aja. Untuk sekedar merayakan kebersamaan kita aja kamu gak bisa lho, Laut”

Deg.

Potong Laura dengan ucapan lirihnya sebelum Laut menyelesaikan penjelasan. Manakala segala usaha telah dilakukan namun sepertinya Laura tak mau mengapresiasi, pikir Laut.

“Ra, aku dari jauh hari udah kasih tau kamu lho, hari ini ada urusan yang ngga bisa aku tinggal. Aku tau kok, hari ini mensive kita, Ra. Kok kamu gitu ngomongnya? Aku kurang apa lagi sih, Ra? Aku udah berusaha ngasih yang terbaik buat kamu”

“Kamu kurang waktu”

“Oke.”

Tidak ada sepatah kata lagi yang terucap dari mulut Laut, dan itu menjadi penutup dari telepon yang mereka lalukan selama hampir 20 menit. Melihat sikap kekasihnya, Laura tersenyum simpul, tidak menunjukan tanda-tanda bahagia, senyumnya nampak muram, Laura tersenyum kecewa.

Entah apa yang ada dipikiran Laura saat ini terhadap Laut. Sampai-sampai untuk kesempatan sekedar bertemu, Laut jarang berikan. Laura sering merajuk, mengeluh. Seharusnya masa-masa remaja di habiskan berdua saling mengayam warna di setiap harinya. Namun Laura tak mendapatkan itu semua dari Laut akhir-akhir ini. Berharap seminggu sekali bisa bertemu, namun kenyataanya dua minggu sekalipun jarang. Tepatnya hanya satu bulan sekali, itu katanya yang bisa Laut sanggupi. Namun sudah satu bulan ini pun, Laut masih tidak menemuinya.

Drrrtttt..

Notif untuk pesan masuk muncul di handphone Laura.

Tidak lama setelah Laut menutup telepon tadi, rupanya Laut kembali mengirim iMessage pada Laura.

“Ra, aku selalu berusaha untuk lakuin yang terbaik buat kita berdua dan untuk hubungan ini. Meskipun kamu gak tau apa yang aku lakuin di sini, tapi percaya sama aku, Ra. Aku juga rindu. Aku tau kamu capek, kamu muak buat denger alesan aku yang gak bisa temuin kamu. Tapi sejujurnya Ra, aku selalu usahain untuk ketemu.”

Tidak tahu Laura harus percaya akan apa-apa yang dikatakan Laut. Bagaimana seseorang yang tidak pernah cukup berbesar hati membagi waktu untuk kekasihnya, apa Laura akan percaya apa-apa yang dituliskan Laut jika dia terlalu sibuk berangan tentang apa-apa yang tidak pernah berani diwujudkan?

Sudah 3 jam sejak Laut mengirim pesan berisikan self defense-nya, jam menunjukan pukul 23.21, Laura dengan mata sembabnya masih berusaha untuk terpejam. Alih alih bisa mengacuhkan rasa sesak yang ia tahan sejak pagi hari tadi.

Namun tiba tiba handphone Laura berdering, menampilkan kontak seseorang yang menjadi alasan matanya sembab, Laut. Tidak ada niatan untuk menjawab, Laura menolak panggilan dari Laut dan kembali memejamkan mata, sampai akhirnya beberapa iMessage masuk dengan notif nyaring, membuat Laura mau tidak mau membacanya.

“Sayang, I apologize for what I did. Aku salah karna belum bisa bagi waktu dan selalu minta pengertian kamu. Padahal kamu pun perlu dimengerti. I’m so sorry. I’m sorry for being the reason of your tears. Rain blossoms flowers but sometimes it can shatter the petals too. I don’t want to be the rain, I just wan to be a drizzle, so you can feel my presence and enjoy it.. I love you, Laura. Happy mensiversary! Besok pagi aku jemput, call?”

Mulanya seperti ada ledakan yang tiba-tiba memborbardir rongga dadanya. Laura pikir ia terkena serangan jantung. Seketika hati Laura melebur. Sejujurnya, setiap perjumpaan keduanya, Laut selalu pandai membuat degub jantung Laura berdetak tak beraturan. Dan dalam setiap percakapan mereka didunia maya, Laut begitu pandai membuat bibir Laura melengking tersenyum lantas tertawa, seorang diri. Seperti saat ini.

“Laut, aku punya beberapa doa, yang aku jamin isi doanya adalah kumulasi hal-hal baik. Kamu bersedia mengamini kan?”
