Photograph of me working as a pharmaceutical drug delivery personnel for a small pharmacy delivering their products via fixed gear bicycle.

This morning was extremely brutal and remarkably cold. Belle freezing actual, almost double below freezing. The entire city was blanketed with fog and frost and heavy falling snow. It was very difficult to maneuver my bicycle due to the slippery road conditions. I was making use of sheltering in the elevators and lobbys of my clients residence and businesses buildings. Some lobbys and elevators were heated some weren't. I would call the client and call my company dispatcher or support team to negotiate deals between them and also receive additional instructions or locations. I covered all exposed skin due to the risk of rapid frost bite and I was wearing a winter parka designed by super dry which was efficient enough to ventilate and regulate body heat .my hair was also bleached and dyed a nice shade of green

"Top surgeries are coming out on top when it comes to patient satisfaction. A new study found that when it comes to this particular procedure, people’s long term satisfaction was “overwhelmingly positive compared to other medical and nonmedical decisions.”

Opponents of access to gender-affirming care like to claim that patients will someday regret making irreversible or partially irreversible changes to their bodies, such as gender-affirming mastectomies (often referred to more colloquially as top surgery). Florida Governor and wannabe presidential candidate Ron DeSantis, who has overseen passage of some of the most anti-LGBTQ+ legislation and policies we've seen, once likened trans-affirming care to chemical castration during a debate, while Arkansas Attorney General appeared on Jon Stewart’s show The Problem to deliver the incredibly made-up statistic that 98% of gender dysphoric youth will eventually identify as cisgender.

However, actual medical evidence tells a much different story.

A study published online in the journal JAMA Surgery on August 9 surveyed 139 participants, all of whom had gender-affirming mastectomies at the University of Michigan between January 1, 1990, and February 29, 2020. Researchers found that the median satisfaction rate among respondents was five on a scale of 1 to 5 (the higher the number, the greater the satisfaction, the study explains), and that their medium regret score was 0 on a 100-point scale (again, the lower the number, the lower the regret). In other words, the overwhelming majority of respondents were highly satisfied and regret was vanishingly rare.

Additionally, a quarter of respondents reported having had an additional gender-affirming procedure since their top surgery. As the study’s authors said, “These results suggest sustained intent and consistency in decision-making.”

This is far from the first time that medical evidence has supported the long-term positive effects of gender-affirming surgeries. A 2021 review of multiple studies found that only around 1% of patients who received gender-affirming surgeries regretted their decision. And as the Transgender Legal Defense & Education Fund notes, almost every major medical association has recognized gender-affirming care as a medical necessity."

2021 (29 years old) - Wednesday

Quarantine day 315: Today was blah. I got up at 7:30, had yogurt for breakfast & read Boys’ Life until work started. Work was productive yet I felt like I got nothing done somehow -sigh- The highlight of the day was Biden’s inauguration. I’m pretty sure not a ton of work got done in the morning because everyone was watching it. It was an all-around feel good moment. Lots of diversity, Lady Gaga & most importantly, Trump’s gone. Hurray! Anyway, I had a breakfast sandwich for lunch & went for a nice walk in the 37 degree-ish weather. We had no meetings again today which felt weird. When work got out I video chatted w/ Madre & Gabriella while making a brussel sprout/carrots stir-fry which was delish. I listened to 07-Ghost: The World, started Japanology & did some WaniKani. I then wrecked my night by hyper focusing on headphones again lol. I bought some Sony earbuds cuz I’m not super impressed with my Bose. They’ll come on Friday. Hopefully this doesn’t become an endless cycle of buying & returning headphones.

2014 (21 years old) - Monday

Happy MLK day! Today was great. I got up & Madre made me pancakes for breakfast which were delicious. I read a little bit & then Daddy took me to Office Max & Stop & Shop. At Office Max I bought Sharpies, a comp notebook, & a new planner, I wanted to get folders too but they didn’t have any fun ones :l Stop & Shop impressed me by having like 500x what the harbor store has. Plus, really nice produce. When I got home I got working on my Resorting to Danger recipes. I decided to make 3 cuz they were all really easy. It was a really good one so I was satisfied when I finished. I even ended up eating the salad I made for lunch AND dinner. After lunch I decorated my planner w/ stickers in Gabriella’s room & I kinda love how it came out. After I finished I worked on homework (readings mostly) & then Gabriella and I watched Fever Pitch which gave me Boston-feels. It was a good end of the weekend transition movie really cuz it showed some of BU campus. Whelp, the semester starts for realsies tomorrow, time for some sleep. (JK Animorphs fist ;P) 

2011 (18 years old) - Thursday

It’s official: I’m done w/ midterms! WOOT! Today went nicely, I had pancakes for breakfast. At school I studied in the back of Mommy’s classroom. Her students smelled like pot oAo Studying was excruciatingly boring but I think it helped a lot. The stat midterm was really easy. I had to stay over and there was a few problems I totally blanked on, but I think I managed an 80 <3 I went to the bandroom afterward to sign a card/give a donation to Kelly Vickers, bought a cupcake & then went home. @ home I made myself some verde casserole & then played RFF (~married life~) and ToA (lulzy Guy scene) forever. I had salad for dinner & ended the night watchin Hourou Musuko & chattin’ w/ Tess & some random “otaku” dude. 

2010 (17 years old) - Wednesday 

Today kinda sucked. The chemistry midterm as really easy yeah but the Spanish-Band combo ruined me for the rest of the day. In Spanish she assigned a HUGE project that spans 3 months which honestly sounds easy but I have so much to think about right now that I just didn’t want to hear it. We also watched our video which turned out pretty good. Band was just depressing cuz I made SO many mistakes! I can tell I got a C ;A; oh well...It’s pretty much like that every year anyway. So, today I had a “day off” to study for history (and English but it’s kinda impossible to study for English) but I still feel REALLY unprepared. I spent most time working on the essays but I don’t feel like I have those down either. Oh well, we shall see what it’s like tomorrow and hopefully tomorrow won’t suck so bad.

Charles Leclerc... he can race on the razor edge of perfection, he can go wheel-to-wheel against the very best at 300+ kph, he can win a grand prix with the throttle stuck at 30%, he can overtake on the outside of Copse, but he definitely cannot park a fucking car to save his life. 🫣

So. On 29 December 2022, the back of my motorized wheelchair broke completely (as in completely collapsed, flat out behind me, doubling the turning radius of my chair, and giving me zero back support). After business hours, of course. And so I couldn't call for a repair person to come out and look at it until the morning, and of course they were all backed up until after the New Year.

When the technician did come out (early January 2023), he found the frame was completely bent out of shape (I wonder if it was bent out of shape when it first broke, or if it got that way after roughly a week of bumping it into things when it was flat out, because my chair no longer fit around the corners in my house). And the whole part would need to be replaced. In the meantime, the guy rigged up some cables to hold the back up, and basically tie it into place. It's no longer adjustable, of course, but at least it gives me some support, now (I paid a whole lot of extra money for this chair for its adjustable features, like back angle, foot+leg rests, and seat tilt-in-space)

It would be expensive, but of course I gave my consent for them to order a new one.

Months go by, with no news. Finally, on 10 May 2023, I'm told the 20% deductible I have to pay, before they even put in the order. And I pay it, in installments of one half (minimum down payment), one quarter, and last quarter.

And then: Nothing. Absolute Radio Silence.

Last week, I notice that my battery is no longer holding a charge, so I schedule a technician to come out and replace it (Wheelchair batteries have a lifespan of ~ three years, and I bought the battery in March 2021, when I bought this @!#$-ing chair). While I'm making the appointment, I mention: "Hey, it's been a year since the back on this chair broke, any news on the replacement part?" The receptionist says she doesn't know, but she'll ask the guys in the repair department, and call me back.

She doesn't call back.

Today, 1 February 2024, 13 months later, after the repair guy replaced the battery, and while he was replacing screws on one of my armrests, so I don't have to hold it in place with duct tape, any more, he gave me the news:

The company that makes this chair has completely discontinued the model, and are also no longer making replacement parts.

The chance of me getting the back on my wheelchair fixed is zero.

(I think I'd have to pay more for a lawyer to get a refund on that deductible I've already paid than the price of that deductible).

Oh, and also: this chair is also a swapped out model, and not the one I actually ordered, because the company discontinued that model, too. And I didn't find out until they were driving this one into my living room.

That was 3 years ago. Medicare will only pay for a new chair ever 5 years, or longer. So I'm stuck with this chair until at least the end of 2025 (I started placing my order for a new chair -- the one I have now, in September or October 2020)

Oh, and you know what else the repair guy told me? Wheelchair companies even specially design (and Patent) every single screw and bolt that goes into their chairs, so you can't fix the chairs yourself.

In 2013, Weinstein pleaded guilty to running a $200 million real estate Ponzi scheme. In 2012 and 2013, while he was out on bail for that Ponzi scheme, he did another financial scam involving “purported sales of pre-IPO Facebook shares and Florida real estate”; he pleaded guilty to that one in 2014. He was sentenced to a total of 24 years in prison for all of this, but in January 2021 President Donald Trump commuted his sentence and let him out of prison. I don’t know why Trump let him out, but possibly he admired Weinstein’s moxie and sense of humor and wanted to see what else he’d get up to.

That faith in him was richly rewarded yesterday, when Weinstein was charged by the US Securities and Exchange Commission and federal prosecutors in New Jersey with doing a new Ponzi scheme in the two years since he left prison. Pre-IPO Facebook shares were very much the current thing in 2012, before Facebook went public, but in 2021 through 2023 the things were apparently:

It’s often helpful to have been here, Tumblring, since 2014, Season 1.* You know where the bodies are buried, usually recall who did or said what when, and almost always remember when you’ve seen particular photos before. All the photos on this post were taken, uploaded, and posted on the same days as the events they represent in 2017 and in 2019. (Brian subscribes to the Tumblr Economy Package, and is limited to using only 10 images per post, otherwise he would use more lovely photos from those events.)

But… if you look on the Getty Images website, you’ll see “Upload dates” of the 27th and the 29th of January 2024. 🤯 What the… how could that be, Brian? You just said the photos were uploaded on the same day they were taken.

They were. How else did Outlander Online, and fans on Tumblr, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and elsewhere post them earlier than January of this year?

Remember when 🙃 Getty Images changed a server and all photo upload dates were, well, updated? It’s similar to when you might transfer your photos from one hard disk to another. The new disc retains data, such as when the photo was taken and any text included in the EXIF of that photo. However, the upload date changes, from the date of the original or the last upload, to the date you uploaded the photos to the new disk.

So… Getty Images uploaded the 2017 photos to another server on 27 January, and 2019’s on 29 January, 2024. 😃

Harry Styles and Y/N L/N expecting a baby

Y/N L/N (34) is going to be a mother again!. It appears the actress is expecting a child with fiance Harry Styles (29). "We’re already so in love with him and he’s not even here yet" she captioned the post on Instagram.

The Oscar winning actress revealed this Friday she was pregnant again by posting a picture on instagram. In the picture, Y/N is standing on a green meadow. Lifting up the white shirt, a growing belly peeks out. According to People, it was Harry who took the picture of his fiancé.

Among those congratulating in the comments section are some of Harry’s and Y/N’s peers. And it appears the couple aren’t revealing exactly when their baby is due or how far along Y/N is.
