We should repent in prayers for any sins we have done. Like David, I think it’s a good idea to include sins that we were aware of and repent of any sins that we didn’t know we committed! God is so good and gracious in giving us the chance to be forgiven when we believe in Him and in Jesus, and when we repent!!!!!

Tears of the King
Today’s Saying
Like his Father, Jesus wants no one “to perish, but everyone to come to repentance”
Today’s Scripture
As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it… Luke19:41
Today’s Sermonette
Jesus’ tears were not those of satisfaction from achievement –like “tears of joy” that go with Olympic gold. No, these were tears of intense suffering as Jesus grieved over Jerusalem’s blindness to the gospel of peace.
Jerusalem was the city of God. Housing Israel’s palace and temple, it symbolized the presence of God.
Now, as foretold by the prophet Zechariah (Zech9:9), Jesus rode a donkey and publicly demonstrated that he was the expected Messiah who would fulfil God’s faithfulness and love by bringing peace through his sufferings.
Though they had been nurtured in the womb of God’s love, the children of Israel remained blind.
They did not see the gospel of peace riding on a donkey; they saw a celebrity.
Though they lived in the city of God, they did not see God’s kingdom. They did not know him.
The cheering crowd would reject the king, and his kingdom. They would deny that Jesus, God’s Son, was the road to peace and would soon sentence him to death.
So Jesus wept. Like his Father, he wanted no one “to perish, but everyone to come to repentance” (2Peter3:9).
Today, many people still reject the King and continue blindly on the way toward eternal punishment.
The King has proclaimed, however, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near” (Matt. 3:2). We need to accept his message and repent of our sins.
Today’s Supplication
Father, we do not want to be the cause of Jesus tears. Through the presence of your Spirit, call us to repentance and faith, and direct us to the throne of the King. Amen!

Longstuffing is ....The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9
But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. Matthew 24:13
The Lord is longsuffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation. Numbers 14:18.

we hope for what we do not see
i don't have a heart of devotion  i don't walk in obedience or pray in belief that You can accomplish all i request or all You say You’ll do.
Lord, i'm sometimes sunken under the waves and can barely grasp for air You’re not slow or late You're not distant You’re not unaware of my longings or of how long i've prayed the same prayer and wondered if i should just stop. Maybe you've answered in giving them up to their own ways Maybe i've done all i can do and should walk away. But I'm still here  troubled and angry i don't know if i'm more angry at their unbelief or mine  Cause i know You are the God who saves, but You've yet to save them.  i'm still here begging You to glorify Your name To let me see your hand make alive what's dead  You alone are the God of steadfast love and compassion You are patient and kind to bring many sons to glory You, O God, send Your Spirit at Your appointed time to magnify Your name among the nations!  It's not up to me to make right what is wrong,  it's not up to me to sing the perfect song,  cause Your name alone can save lost & dying souls  i can trust You to save all those You have chosen.  Help me to be faithful in telling everyone about this gift of life in Christ & help me live a life that reflects His light wherever i go. Help me to hope in You.
God, please help me.

God created us and loves us so much!!!!! He does not want us to actually have to suffer eternal death. We should repent of our sins to Him and accept His Son, Jesus, as our Savior Who died for our sins, giving us the chance to receive eternal life!!!!!

Confession: I'm no good at waiting. For Friday, for my birthday, nothing. I ask God for patience, and He graciously (and often promptly) gives me opportunities to practice it. . But let's be real: I want patience without having to work for or practice it. Counterintuitive, eh? I'm impatient to get patience. . But how much more is God patient with us! "The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance." (2 Peter 3:9) . God is the master and creator and epitome of patience. He watches me learn and re-learn dependence upon Him ... and is still patient. (And I need to re-learn a lot of things, because obvz I didn't learn it well enough the first time 😂.) But He is truly the Master I need to learn from. Yoda's got nothing on Him. . So today I wait patiently for the Lord, my soul waits, and in His word I hope. . #bible #bibleverse #psalm #psalm130 #psalm1305 #instadevo #patience #2peter3 #2peter39 #verseoftheday via @youversion (at Edmonds, Washington)

John 14:1-6
“Don’t get lost in despair; believe in God, and keep on believing in Me. There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. My Father’s home is designed to accommodate all of you. I am going to make arrangements for your arrival. When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am. I will be there to greet you personally and welcome you home, where we will be together. And you know the way to where I am going.“ No, we don’t know, Lord,” Thomas said. “We have no idea where you are going, so how can we know the way?” Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.”
The above passage is from two translations: NLT and VOICE (Link above).
Some Christians say that our life on Earth doesn’t matter, we’re just travelling through to our permanent home in Heaven. My personal opinion is that God didn’t create a beautiful planet filled with lovely things for Adam so he could hurry on through it and go on to be with God (after all, Adam lived to be 930 years old). I think God made the Earth for us to enjoy our time here. To God, a thousand years is like a day and a day like a thousand years (Psalm 90:4, 2 Peter 3:8) so I don’t think He minds when we reach Him, as long as we safely do. Jesus is the One who is our only way to Heaven. If we trust God and Jesus and believe in them, we have a place that Jesus is preparing for us and it’s big enough for everybody! When it’s all ready Jesus will come back for us and personally welcome us. We can relax and have peace as Christians, knowing it’s all in the safe hands of Jesus.😊

2 Peter 3: Thief in the Night
2 Peter 3: Thief in the Night Necessarily, thieves do not announce their expected time of arrival, as that would be counterproductive. In the same way, Jesus’s return is certain and imminent, but kept under wraps. #SecondComing #JesusReturn #2Peter3
According to the Gospel of Matthew, the timing of Jesus’s return is being kept under deep cover so the “owner,” of the world will be caught off-guard. It is such a -huge- metaphor! So let us explore it. The Strong Man It had all started when some people had brought a demon-possessed man to Jesus. The man had been rendered both blind and mute by his condition, and must have been suffering…
