If you’ve ever reflected on just how many “things” there are in the world around us, you might have been amazed by the amount of both variation and repetition. Consider a single type of life form - for example, a tree. Consider the number of different species of trees, and the different subtypes within each species, and the unique size, shape, number of branches, leaves, and cells of each individual tree in a subtype. Similar and repeating, yet with innumerable variations. And so if there is a book that is ascribed to the Creator of this universe, how can we know if it’s truly from Him? It would only be appropriate that this book has the same signature of the Creator in it. And so in this Quran says: “Allah has sent down the Best Statement, a Book, its parts resembling each other, (yet) repeating”. (Quran 39:23) The stories, examples, lessons, warnings, glad tidings, etc. of this Quran are repeated again and again and again - yet each time, it’s unique. Variations in wording, sentence structure, level of detail, tone, target audience, underlying purpose in the context of the chapter, and on and on. Remind you of anything? Jesus is our bridge, connecting us to Abba

When God created the world and made Adam and Eve, He lived among them and His Creation was perfect. Once they disobeyed Him, sin was born. It broke the perfection God intended from the start. It separated us from Him.

But He never ever stopped being their Father who loves and created them (and us).

Adam and Eve separated us from God but Jesus brings us back to God.

As a bridge closes the gap between two places, Jesus and His Sacrifice close the gap between us and God, connecting us to Him.

Jesus willingly came down from Heaven and was born of the Virgin Mary as a man—The Son of Man—to connect and relate to us. He was born human and grew up in a loving family and experienced life as we do. Day to day life in our world is something He already knew but now we can relate to Him. He connects us to Himself.

“But as many, as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.” (John 1:12-13 NASB)

“For of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace.” (John 1:16 NASB)

We know He fully understands what we feel and why we feel the way we do. We believe He came down from Heaven to save us from a harsh world. He endured the harshest punishment, which we deserved. He was sinless but bore all our sins. God sent Him to take our place and unite us to Himself.

To forgive; to save us.

"Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel.” (Isaiah 7:14)

“And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:14)

He is our Way to the Father. As God’s One and Only Son He opens His Arms to welcome us as God’s Children. We can now call on GOD as Abba, Father as Jesus did when He prayed in the garden of Gethsemane…

“Abba, Father,” he said, “everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.” (Mark 14:36)

“Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’” (John 14:6)

Jesus is the most perfect example of God’s Agape Love for us.

A gift from my uncle. My dear friends @_we_are_his_ told me this is a “traveling shrine” and it makes total sense... This beautiful antique piece is portable and the door🚪 in the center opens, sadly the religious enamel image in the center is missing. This is an antique so it’s not perfect. Similar to our lives, not so perfect. Especially now, in this moment we are living. How amazing and ironically symbolic that my uncle decided to place this item in my hands. With our physical churches ⛪️ closed, our faith has become so much more “portable”. We attend and participate in the union of mass from home, we create altars at home, we pray in all sorts of new and creative places. Here we are with our own traveling shrines. We hold in our ❤️ hearts our love for our creator and we are precisely traveling shrines carrying His Love. I think this appropriate gift will always serve as a reminder. Our S T R E N G T H

“He gives me new strength. He guides me in the right paths, as he has promised.” ‭(Psalm‬ ‭23:3‬)

God is the source of our strength.

“I can do all this through him who gives me strength.” (Philippians 4:13)

“Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” (Isaiah 40:30-31)

He makes us strong and will protect us keeping us from harm.

“The Lord will keep you from all harm—he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.” (Psalm 121:7)

“He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.” (Psalm 91:4)

He is the one who guides us and helps us along the way. He created the way in which we are to go. God will never fail or lead us wrong. He works all things for the good of His people.
