almost done... 🙏

#before yvverse i was never the kind of person to write 4-6k word chapters #i have been writing this chapter since february 6th #it was agonizingly difficult... line by line crises type of difficult D:#i still have no clue how people like write thousands of words in a day and then hit post 🥲 i have spent so long on this. i think i spent #an hour this morning writing one paragraph #but now that the finish line is in sight i just feel so ready to post it (even though it is not done. and needs at least 500 more words #on top of editing)#anyways. apologies for yapping 🙇‍♀️#in terms of difficulty... i feel like writing this series has been eye opening to me as to what i find difficult to write? which is #interesting. fool me twice pt5 was also hard for me in the sense that i rewrote it no fewer than 5 times... and this installment was hard #in a different way. T_T i want to claim victory! but not yet! i haven't earned it #anyways... please expect the next chapter at some point over the next week (and if it's not there i have likely fallen into another crisis)

can i be critical of black sails' writing for a second. for a show thats typically very very good at creating depth for even minor characters, 90% of the black characters are super fucking shallow

#like. mr scott had plenty of depth but then he died. max is super complex but she also has the lightest skin tone.#i couldnt tell you madi's distinguishing personality traits so far she just does everything right. girl where are your character flaws #shes been in the plot about as long as woodes rogers has and i could write a 1500 word essay on him if i gave enough fucks to #but you can summarize her history motivations and personality in like 4 sentences. 6 if you include her relationship with silver #like for one of the 4 most influential figures in the revolution youd expect a little nuance. a character weakness. an ulterior motive or 2.#like it lowkey just feels like theyre gonna kill her off for silvers darkest hour......#and beyond all that the entire population of her town have maybe 5 speaking lines collectively????#like when one of the pirates assaults one of madis men the focus is entirely on the white characters and potential fallout for the alliance.#that dude doesnt even get to speak for himself. because if madi isnt the mouthpiece for all black characters she doesnt have a role.#ok this is turning into the ''madi deserves better writing'' power hour so im gonna shut up now

#image commentary in tags once again since they don't allow captions anymore and I feel weird using the alt text for that --#1 & 2. A very pale dusty warm sort of sky. Love the tone of it. All shades of gray skies are amazing.#3. Some flowers outside of a building I walked by. I like the chunky petals and interesting muted color #4. bapy son enjoying the sunlight #5. Picture of a moon and I think two stars or maybe planets or something near it? :0 #6. little lines drawn onto the carpet with sunlight from the window blinds #7. The moon illuminating the clouds to an unuusally bright degree. Very inchresting.. It isn't even captured well in photos but in real lif #it kind of looked like everything in the sky was glowing #8. They had heart shaped strawberry biscuits at popeyes this February (I think for valentines day month?)#9. All of the various rocks I've picked up on the ground outside over the past few months. Now that I have a rock tumbler I'm always on the #lookout for interesting ones. Though I'm not sure what all of them are or how well they'd actually polish. I know there are rules about tha #and stuff lol. I do think it's neat how when they're all next to each other there's so many different patterns #and colors and stuff even though they were all taken from basically the same small span of just sidewalks and places along the city #I never travel to different states or anything or even go hours away within my own state.#photo diary

runs around in a circle i mean it when i say everyone should play mysims... its just a silly little game about building up a town one furniture piece made of weird shit at a time with vague lore and a good soundtrack

#styx says #its. so easy to acquire. like u can still buy the pc version (closest to the wii version but still a little bit different)#not Actually making anyone play it its like. one of those game that i think is awesome and a masterpiece but is actually a little boring #but ive played it for over 6 hours straight once and only stopped cuz my wrist hurt im so autistic abt this game #i lost my point. did i have one. uhhh. my wife is in it and i have the url mysimsyuri does this convince you at all /j #edit: forgot to say there Are some downsides to the game #apart from how tedious it is #like. in the cas section ive seen picrews more diverse u only get 3 skin tones and a handful of hair options (i think theres 4?? 5 dependin #on the specific hair)#and each townie only has like 10 not even lines of dialogue dfghdfkj theyre all unique but like. not fleshed out at all #anyway . i return to my rest of not making an original post for a month or 2. happy pride month xfghdk

#there are 6 things i have yet to write #i use ''things'' loosely because it could be just a few lines OR Multiple Scenes #its just things that i still only have bullet points for (and not even prosey bullet points)#1) transition into Big Adventure 2) most of the 'Adventure' part of the Big Adventure 3) climax of the Big Adventure #4) beginning of Scene I Originally Wanted To Write 5) most of the end of Scene I Originally Wanted To Write 6) description of Big Adventure #at least at this point over half of it is consecutive #ari opinion hour #i seem to work on it on a regular basis at least #seems i tend to work on it during the second week of each month so far lolol

oh btw, my eye is healed enough that I can look at things without sunglasses and not be in pain when blinking (obviously, since I'm blogging more often again and writing long posts). though I'm still supposed to use the antibiotic eyedrops for a week and the normal lubricant eye drops for like... a month

anyway so I guess if you ever get into a situation where you scratch your cornea, uh get that checked with your eye doctor so they can prescribe the eye drops because I mean. if it doesn't get infected, that's great, but if it does, that's not good. my fingernail was being treated for a fungal infection and since that's that one that hit my eye, I checked with a doctor just in case and they were like. really worried lmao, mostly because apparently it's hard to get the right antifungal eyedrops where I live. antibiotics are fine, but then they can't presecribe me the ones with steroids. there really is a whole world of eye drops out there, who knew (the eye doctors, obviously)

right so if you get in that situation, wear sunglasses if your vision becomes sensitive to light, try to keep looking down (for some reason, it was more difficult for me to look at things at eye level), don't wear an eye patch no matter how tempting it is (dark and moist environments can encourage bacterial growth, which is what we want to prevent). and if you have super dry eyes like me, apparently you should really be diligent with those lubricant eye drops. I was told that even when my eye heals, if it's always dry the uh scrape? abrasion? could open up again

also my oil glands are a bit clogged but that's like, a genetic thing apparently, so I'm just born with dry eyes that just gets worse bc I stare at the screen for work, so yeah. take care of your eyes while you can!! trying to limit how much you blink because it's painful is really annoying!!

#mine musings #i have alarms set because i have to take both every 3 and 4 hours which you know. i'll never remember to do that on my own #apparently when i slashed my eye (accidentally) i also left like 4 shallow holes and 1 slightly deeper one. ON the gash #this was all just on the cornea though but still #so imagine a line with 5 dots lol #i already use artificial tears regularly but she had me switch brands lmao bc apparently i really need the one that #goes deeply through all the layers (there are many layers? apparently? i think on the tear film. something like that)#the one i was using was apparently missing an ingredient that would do that. or something

she’s been nesty and making contact calls for the last two weeks, and last night she was sitting in or on her bowl all night. I was pretty sure she was going to lay today or tomorrow and it’s very hilarious that she decided to start a new project on January 1st. new year new her!

it’s infertile, she’s never had contact with a male. she’s laid blank clutches before so I know what to do to make sure she doesn’t reclutch and get a calcium deficiency over imaginary babies. I’ve dummied it and I’m going to let her lay the rest of the clutch and sit for a bit.

Little girl has a job now! very proud of her!!! 🥰💙

tell me why it’s 4:38am and I’ve convinced myself that I must rewrite tor

#I’m literally just thinking about a plan but still #idk it was so corny and dramatic and the plot line came out of no where #but the worst thing for me was the lack of character growth #coz like s3 wrapped in winter presumably before christmas break #so you’re telling me that they go like 5/6 months without a mystery and you just can’t really tell #like idk tor is a fun watch and it achieved what it set out to do which was graduate the characters have a fun little drama #and set up a spin off #but like idk it would be such a fun rewrite #but the more I think about it the less I would keep because 4 random 14 year olds just fit into nothing we knew about the school so far #and willow’s extracredit plot was also weird #I just feel like we could have more fun full house moments #and like I’d only have to fill like an hour of plot time #id even consider possibly bringing all of them into the mystery by the end #which ordinarily I do not like but like it’s the last like 2 days of living there and the world is ending I don’t see the need for secrecy #idk if anyone has any cool ideas hmu #house of anubis #txt #tor watch
