This is my new milestone when it comes to CC - not only this is a 4t2 conversion, it's also a buy mode object and a functional one! I had so much fun doing it and maybe in the future I will make other pets like this xD

No recolors for Dust Bunnies and Filth Fiend at the moment (unfortunately, I'm not good at recoloring that type of stuff yet)

Filth Fiend model has an additional subset for the glowing eyes (it's so cuuute)

Bunnies might slightly clip with the cages during some animations (I tried to minimize it as much as possible, from what I see the original womrat also had problems with it)

Real Animated Pets - Goat, Sheep and Llama

This project is our fruit of labour with @deedee-sims. I was looking for a way to have more "alive" pets in Sims 2 and approached DeeDee. Luckily for all of us, she liked the idea and helped me out with the most difficult parts. This project would not be possible without you, thank you DeeDee ❤️

From the technical point of view all animals are custom collars for large dogs (and only large dogs). In order for them to work as on previews, you need to assign your dog a transparent fur (a brand new creation by DeeDee that makes dogs' fur completely invisible, included in the archive) and then pick an animal skin you want from the collar section. If you'd like to change the appearance of an existing large dog, be sure to buy it a desired collar on a community lot first! Dog's breed is also important, it can make chubbier or thinner animals. If your fur doesn't look completely transparent, be sure to uncheck all the fur accessories. I'd recommend using a default white no name breed (looks best with animations).

Swatches:

We (especially DeeDee! ❤️) did our best making new animals move as smoothly as possible, but be aware that clipping is still present in certain animations. Also, these animals behave and sound like normal dogs. Hopefully we'll find a way to mute them in the future.

Animals come with a set of objects that are more appropriate for farm animals - new bed, toy, 2 "bowls" and deco hay. Objects have morphs and dirty states. Note that the feeders works like a pet bowl meaning they will randomly rotate but it won't prevent pets from eating normally.

All animals come with original Sims 4 textures (1024x1024 for llama and 512x512 for goat and sheep), converted and tweaked by me. Animal colors are separated so you can pick and choose only the ones you want. Collection file for objects is included. I also recommend these and these Uldum rug add-ons (if you want other sizes for the hay overlay).

Changed pet toy animation to silent chewy one (thank you @vegan-kaktus and @executables-sims), the archive was updated but if you don't want to redownload the whole thing, here's only the updated toy.

Added a new feeder - prarie grass converted from Sims 4 Horse Ranch. Now your new pets can feed on the fresh grass. Collection file was updated too.

UPDATE 17/02/2024

Fixed toy's thumbnail - it's no longer empty. Added a custom version for the hay rug, I'd recommend using a custom rug rather than ULDUM because it has no outdoor shadow (ULDUM can't be fixed). Updated the collection file to include new rug.

Cats&Dogs / MyFirstPet Conversions

I noticed on @sims4t2bb that none of the food bowls or litter boxes or those cat dazzlers were converted, or maybe they were and just never added... Regardless, I couldn't find them so I might have went a bit overboard and did them all! ✨✨✨ 3 bowls, 5 litterboxes, 2 cat dazzlers + the cat dazzlers as default replacements 😱

All the litter boxes use the sims 4 litter, meaning they come with poop already in them...soz. Cats' tails might stick out of the covered boxes. And make sure to put them against a wall or else the cat will jump through the back, which isn't ideal for some of the boxes.

The Cat Dazzler & The Cat Dazzler Rainbow, as deco items (found in pets category) and as default replacements. Deco items share the same mesh. Deco item is 400 poly, $25. Only choose ONE of the defaults and delete the other. The DR colors are also Deco so you aren't missing out on any.

Anyway, it's 1 in the morning so I don't know if I'm forgetting to mention anything. I've zipped everything in one download, however everything is in its own folder with pictures so you'll know what's what.

Today I want to share something with you that I have been working on for a while. My first default pet fur/eyes mod! 🐾 For the eyes, I chose the Aloha Eyes by pyxiidis. The fur was based on Pet Fur Defaults by magical-girl-sandbox & I picked the red option by kahlenas pet fur/eyes mod here.

I strongly recommend using this mod by kitteninthewindow, that fixes puppies/kittens eyes.

Have fun and pls tell me if you have any issues with them.

as anyone who knows me will know, my house is a zoo i am a sucker for small rodents, especially guinea pigs and hamsters. last year for my 17th birthday i shared these deco guinea pigs, so this year today, for my 18th, have the natural progression of that post: a 4t2 conversion of @kaisosims' rodents pack! 20 new, modular, decorative fur-baby items & accessories for your sims to adore 🥰

everything that could have fitted slots has slots; the hamster shelf, notably, has a grand total of 15! all of the cages are stackable, i.e.: you can put the animals (which are purely deco) in them, then stack them on top of any other surface--the given ones, or a counter, study table, etc.! more info can be found under the cut 👇

this set was originally supposed to be my... wow... 1000 followers and 17th birthday gift. but back then my cc skills honestly kinda sucked and the slots + transparency drove me to insanity. over a year, 1500 more followers, and a mental crisis later, here we are, with the final product of over 30 hours of hard work! 👏 in any case, thank you all so much for 2500 followers!

THINGS TO NOTE

Pretty much everything that can have a slot, has a slot!

All cages can be placed on other surfaces, like tables, counters, etc.; if you want to place an animal inside of them, do that first, THEN place them on the surface.

Everything is decorative; nothing is functional… yet.

Art pieces are in the Paintings category, surfaces like the Cage Stand are in Surfaces -> Misc, and everything else is in General -> Pets.

You may note that some items have drastically different polycounts from the TS4 originals; this is because TS4 automates the appearance of backfaces, but TS2 doesn't recognise them, so I had to add my own.

4t2 My First Pet : Book Fair Bear

As requested by @swishbishbosch. 2 subsets (bookcase+books & pet frame). 10 slots. Costs 325$. 657 polys. Works as a bookcase. All textures merged with the mesh.

It's not Nutty's conversion as the mesh file had, among other things, the mesh and the texture duplicated for a reason I don't understand, so it was easier for me to create a new, clean file, instead of trying to understand what to do with Nutty's. But I reused the mesh, textures, and the GUID (so you can't have both but why would you want both ?)

Nicheknacks: Some Meshes Repo'd to BB Niches and Recolors

I originally intended to have this be an even larger upload than the rocks ones from a few years ago. I couldn't sustain enough motivation to work on this anymore after working on and off for years, so I just made it a smaller upload. I made or modified a handful of meshes and made a few dozen recolors. I also edited some of the nook folly garden grounds and borders to remove shine and outdoor shadows.

Meshes:

Floor edge hider straight and corner pieces, cloned from Honeywell's bespoke build set so these need to be placed on the same level of the floor edge you want to cover

Outside wall corner, also cloned from and based on the one from the bespoke set

Shelf beds based on and cloned from igne's shelf beds.

Pet bed, top used edited cushion from dark moon's niche crib and is also repo'd to the maxis bedding like the changing tables and cribs in that set. I fixed the issue with the niche part of the mesh being dark after I did the preview. From what I've tested, this can be used as a pet bunk bed with shiftable everything and moveobjects on.

Tudor support from Cyclonesue. I removed the floor part of the mesh. It's in the columns section but doesn't function like a true column. Has a new GUID.

Retaining walls and wall tops that are a mashup of both versions of tbugett's retaining walls

Walls used for Recolors:

4t2 corrugated walls from the eco lifestyle EP. I don't recall which conversion for these I used, but there's at least 2 versions of these around.

Poppet's plain jane stucco half of the files for this are older than my simblr, I just added the other half recently

Shasta's BV and AL chimney walls

2 metal panels from MellySim's 1t2 walls

LS little hexagons tiles. I used Corax's wall addon for the blue one and made my own addon wall for the white one, which is included in the download

Known issues:

Shelf beds clip through the floor into the below floor if the built in setting to make them floor level is used. Though it's still above the AL ceiling level and should only be an issue in some situations without a ceiling. It was a tradeoff between this and having the beds clip though the bottom of the was when in use.

The retaining walls are dark looking unless a significant portion of them is above ground.

All files are compressed with included swatches, the main niche mesh, and preview.

Stocking Stuffers 2/5: Two CC-Free Lots

The Kitstop: A giant photo-opp attraction and unmanned roadhouse for the whole family's needs, fur-babies included.

Cadillac Flats: Four tiny homes ready to be rented as apartments.

The Kitstop (a 4T2 shell challenge) has everything you might need to refresh and recouperate on a long trip; pets are taken care of too, and even toddlers, if you use the appropriate mods!

Cadillac Flats are four tiny homes (another 4T2 shell challenge, repeated several times) ready to be rented as apartments. The flats have identical layouts but are each decorated differently to hint at different backstories for any townie renters;

Flat 1 is a mature DINK couple who like to host small dinner parties in-between their various trips abroad;

Flat 2 is a couple of young, fun roommates saving money while they climb their career ladders;

Flat 3 is an r/malelivingspaces situation;

And flat 4 is a retired elderly couple who love to host their grandchild on the sofa some weekends.

Each apartment has the same small but functional wet bathroom, with some minor aesthetic differences. Flat 4 is the only flat to have its own patio (and is therefore slightly more expensive) but all flats have access to the same common outdoor space with a pool and BBQ area.

The Cadillac Flats lot is not an apartment lot by default so that you can choose to add a driveway before playing if you so desire. More information and instructions are included in the zip, but it's super easy.

Both lots are playtested!

awkward monday upload: my 4t2 conversion of @syboubou's little dino kids set... but almost completely redone, with a bunch of quality of life fixes! those include: no more annoying vignette crunchiness on the deco objects, no more t-posing plushies, and no more giant texture sizes!

major changes have been listed below the cut, but suffice to say that i've been dissatisfied with my conversion of this set for ages and was inspired to redo it when i saw an anon ask @freezerbunny-sims2 got some months ago. i'm considering this a redux and not an update, since the older set isn't specifically 'broken', just not up to my standards. you can't have both though, as they use the same guids!

Diplo toy is not decorative, it can be played with like a regular toy from the toybox!

'Dresser' and 'Dresser Small' are a hallway table and endtable, with the smaller version being repo'd to the larger.

'Ivy Bed Decor' and 'Bed Blanket' must have moveobjects and snaptogrid off to be placed.

Shop Local Pt I Add-on - 96 Small Shop Signs

Hey everyone! Today I'm back with more shop signs! These are an add-on for Shop Local Pt I (as requested by @gold33 and @basic-fictional-simmer) so they use the same logos, but this time on two smaller sign meshes. Swatches, details and download below!

I love both of these 4t2 City Living sign meshes -- there's the Kaliedesign by TNW, which is sleek and modern, and also A Sign of Things to Come by Michelle, which has a more traditional/upscale look. Both meshes are included.

The Kaliedesign signs just have logos without any text, which I think will make some of them more versatile:

And most of the Sign of Things to Come have text that matches the original shop names:

There are three metal colors for the sign hardware -- light silver, dark silver and gold. Since there's only one subset, I chose metal colors that coordinated with the sign designs.

Numbered swatches are included and the signs are in separate folders so you can easily keep just what you like!

I should have Part II finished by this weekend! Those will be the service signs -- police stations, banks, etc. I'm also kicking around doing another round of shop signs since I overlooked a few businesses I would like to have (bookstores, tattoo shop, pet shop), so if anyone would like any additional shops, please let me know! They'll also be on the six tile sign mesh plus these two smaller meshes.
