Year 1646
TW/CW: Death Mention
Tumblr media
With Giovanni heading into his mid-fifties soon, he wanted to spend every precious moment he could with his young daughter before he couldn't maintain that level of activity anymore.
Tumblr media
It soon came to a point where Giulia couldn't hide her pregnancy any longer. She found it a bit funny that with Orsolina she had been flaunting her state but now she was scared of being too expectant.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Though as days and weeks passed with nothing to show for her fears but an ever growing stomach, Giulia decided that it was no use ignoring it because of her worries and spent more of her time giving Orsolina extra attention since the new baby would divide her time. Though Giulia wondered if Orsolina would really mind a less attentive mother given her destructive habits.
Tumblr media
By the end of Giulia's pregnancy she was feeling much larger than she had with Orsolina, or maybe she was just remembering wrong since she was more tired this time around now that there was a toddler around. Still, she was excited.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was early in the morning on July 8th when Giulia delivered her second child into the world, a daughter she named after her late sister, Osana.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Just as he fell in love with Orsolina, Osana's little fingers might have wrapped against his, Giovanni's heart was deeply entangled by his little girl.
Tumblr media
Orsolina wasn't sure about the new development of having a baby sister but her Mama and Papa had no intention of letting her go without her share of attention so it hardly mattered that there was a screaming thing in the house.
Tumblr media
Though he adored his daughters and understood that they truly needed time with two children in the home before actively trying for a third, Giovanni was starting to build a resentment towards Giulia for not trying hard enough to produce a son to carry on their name and tend the farm especially with Giovanni getting on in years.
Tumblr media
Osana grew up with her mother's hair which surprised Giulia as often times lighter hair tended to be overpowered by dark hair. Still, Giulia felt that as an infant, her youngest resembled Giovanni more.
Tumblr media
That September Giovanni celebrated his 53rd birthday with his wife and daughters. Age was definitely taking its toll but it was more evident when he grew out his facial hair.
Tumblr media
Seeing her husband, Giulia couldn't help but wonder how her father looked now, if he had more lines on his face from age or if he had drunken himself into a stupor and died in a ditch someplace. It didn't matter much to her given the way they parted but sometimes the thoughts of his whereabouts crossed her mind.
Tumblr media
Even growing older, Giovanni still made time for Orsolina who was more and more evidently a daddy's girl to his delight. If Giovanni was home, he would have a little shadow following his every movement and he was more than happy with that.
Tumblr media
Giulia was fine with her husband entertaining their eldest since their baby was a ray of sunny joy in the wake of learning that Giulia's Uncle Ramon died at the end of October while visiting the churches in Windenburg.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It wasn't as if Osana was against her father's affections either, Giovanni could almost swear that Osana felt more fragile than Orsolina but Giulia noted that it was actually Osana who was born a bit stronger. Their younger daughter simply had a more peaceful demeanor than their older one who seemed to reject the idea of staying still from birth.
Tumblr media
Family life at the Morosini household was a controlled chaos as they learned to manage being a family of four from a family of three. It had been ten long years since marrying Giovanni but Giulia could say that she was happy with her life as it was for the moment. She didn't dare say it out loud but she hoped that for the time being she would be spared any more additions to the family for at least a few years despite Giovanni's hopes for a son.

Long numbers games!?
So as this post showed, Tsumugi’s birthmonth divided by birthday brings up this- 0.5333333333. Pretty straightforward association: 53rd game. Rantaro’s comes up with 3.3333333333 (like ‘Don’t forget Oct 3rd’ or something?? haha). Seems there’s something going on with more of them, so
Let’s uh, try the rest of them:
Kaito Momota: 4th month / 12th day = 0.3333333333
Miu Iruma: 11th month / 16th day = 0.6875
Kiibo: 10th month / 29th day = 0.3448275862
Kirumi Tojo: 5th month / 10th day = 0.5
Himiko Yumeno: 12th month / 3rd day = 4 (LMAO, cursed)
Maki Harukawa: 2nd month / 2nd day = 1
Angie Yonaga: 4th month / 18th day = 0.2222222222
Gonta Gokuhara: 1st month / 23rd day = 0.0434782609
Ryoma Hoshi: 7th month / 1st day = 7
Tenko Chabashira: 1st month / 9th day = 0.1111111111
Korekiyo Shinguji: 7th month / 31st day = 0.2258064516
Kaede Akamatsu: 3rd month / 26th day = 0.1153846154
Kokichi Ouma: 6th month / 21st day = 0.2857142857
Shuichi Saihara: 9th month / 7th day = 1.2857142857
They seem to look meaningless much of the time. But. Curiously
0.2857142857 1.2857142857
Ouma's and Saihara's look the exact same, save for the number before decimal
There's something else too (go to this post for context!)
Alright. Ouma's ‘ni shi’, 24 / Saihara's ‘shi ni’, 42 gives us... this: 0.5714285714. It's basically the same as their birthday results after the decimal, except removing the first 2 and 8. A reason for this I’ve found after a little research is that the repeating number chain ‘142857′ is called a ‘cyclical number’, and I’ve found others of this exact type testing out other characters’ birthdays: Chiaki/Chihiro, Gundham, Nagito and Masaru.
That said, none of those match this pattern so precisely. But if you multiply Ouma’s birthday result by two, you get a perfect match to the 24/42 number even if you use the precision calculator to calculate everything.
I've noticed there are other cyclical numbers too (one other is 692307 shared by Sakura and Sonia, who have the same birth day but a month apart) but still a lot of variation among all the long numbers besides. Having two varied long numbers turn out almost the exact same like Ouma’s and Saihara’s do is so... weird. It’s like the birthdays were engineered to have nigh perfect correlation with each other at the base level or something...
I’m also curious- is there some kind of relevance to the number loop 142857? Or idk, any other numbers that are showing up? Because one other birthday that had my attention was Gundham’s whose is identical to Okabe Rintaro from Steins;Gate (maybe because... chuunis LOL), and had that same number loop. And oh here’s a fun one: Monaca’s result is 4, the same as Himiko’s :’) Both of them are self-prescribed ‘mages’. That had to be done on purpose.
Seriously, what is going on with these numbers!?

verse: a spark to the flame ( 1/??? )
cw for violence, death, fires, and literary gore.
so now that i finally got that oneshot out of my system ( no pressure to read it, of course, although i am proud of it ♡ ) , i can summarize a bit more about what happens to patrick in this universe, along with some tidbits that didn't make it in:
he volunteered for his best friend, lee hyuk, on impulse when hyuk was initially reaped as the male tribute for the 53rd hunger games. the thought of being in the hunger games was terrifying, yes, but the thought of watching his best friend die in those games was unthinkable to patrick. not when patrick had already been abandoned by his birth family- he didn't want to lose another person.
in this verse, patrick was left behind in an orphanage along with his brother by his parents before his brother disappeared too. no one knows what happened to them. since i hc district three as, while a rather dreary environment to live in and mostly on the lower economic side ( think poor but not as poor as district twelve ), they are a tight knit community that emphasizes education of the young. he learned a lot about the basics of engineering and science and was taken in by an elderly couple, who ran a grocery store of sorts when he was seven. he could do arithmetic well and as they needed someone to balance the books for them. he did a lot of reading while manning the shop.
most, if not all of the books he read ( and still does ) are non-fiction. another hc, but i highly doubt the capitol would let the districts read literature from the days before the capitol regime bc that would give individuals the ability to picture a life where the capitol is not in control....the only fiction books available are the pro-capitol ones and he never would touch those.
the female tribute, his district partner, was tellessa latimis. growing up in one of the poorer zones in district three, she was already used to fighting for her life as brawls tended to break out where she grew up with her parents, three younger siblings, and her cousin. older than patrick by a year, she was sarcastic, guarded, realistic, and very grounded. while she detested the hunger games, she was more than willing to kill if it meant surviving. she was very protective of her siblings and cousins.
tellessa was also very good at using a knife; she was light on her feet and could throw a knife with about a 75% accuracy. and that's without training.
beetee, their mentor ( as the only female victor wiress was considered not 'right of mind' after her games ), had to decide between patrick and tellessa who he would support in the arena- he chose tellessa.
during the training sessions, patrick stuck with almost exclusively the wildness survival stations ( like foraging for food and making fires ) and reading the books there on the topic. he also tried to refresh his memory on the basics of engineering and electricity too. he did learn the basics of using a knife, but didn't go further because he thought it would garner unwanted attention from the careers ( tributes from one and two ).
he also made friends with ellio, the tribute from district 8. they both liked reading and got along well. after tellessa, ellio was his default for who to stick around. patrick never suggested an alliance though because he didn't want to be the one to kill ellio and ellio was tight with his district partner.
when he went in for his evaluation with the gamemakers, patrick completed a rubik's cube in about five minutes. he fumbled in the middle though so that's probably why his score was in the lower middle. tellessa on the other hand dismantled a dummy using only a knife. she scored an 8.
during the interview, he referred to himself as a gentleman in an attempt to distinguish himself amongst the tributes. in a way, it did work.
during the games, patrick broke one tribute's jaw with his backpack while escaping the initial bloodbath, sets fire to four other tributes via the generators, and takes out two more tributes with a more traditional trap. adding in the final showdown with remos, the tribute from district two, that makes patrick's body count 8.
tellessa comes in fifth place for the games; she and patrick had a plan to destroy the supplies that the career pack had amassed. however it got blotched since remos decided to use her as a hostage since he recognized that patrick was the real threat to his survival.
tellessa burned to death in the electrical fire patrick caused along with remos' district partner. patrick held tellessa's hand in her final moments even though it was charred and very hot.
that's where he got the burn scar on his right palm from.
patrick was crowned the victor after a fight to the death with remos. he stabbed remos with a broken pipe.

Today marks my 53rd day of becoming a mom to a beautiful gorgeous looking boy. If you ask me how does it feel? It feels different. I miss my single life, for sure (since the wedding isn’t the one I desire), but since this boy was born my life was turning completely upside down (in a good way). I have lack of sleep since day one. Mostly I would sleep from 5 AM to 8 AM or 9 AM if I can extend and pretend to be dead. However, I’m not completely free from being a stressful individual who even more depressed since giving birth to a new soul she was waiting for a whole 9 months. Here’s I tell you why.
First, I wasn’t a mother until 53 days ago and all of these are new experiences. I’m willing to learn and study and want to become part of my son’s life forever. Make him happy and full of joy. Yet, I’m always concern by the way I raise him. Did I do this just right? Excellent? Am I a good mother? Am I good enough? The thoughts are still lingering inside my head and there is no answer to those questions.
Second, the man I married is still the biggest source of my pain. He’s the most problematic person I’ve ever known. End of the story. He’s the bad guy.
Third, I hate myself. Just hating my own self is more than enough. That’s it, I hate myself.
The point is I miss my old life. I miss those days where my grandmother was still as healthy as a horse, I still lived in my hometown, the day was shiny, cloudy, rainy, yet I was happy. Because I AM not happy.

Virginia woman does 53 acts of kindness for 53rd birthday (AP) The pandemic didn’t allow Debra Ferrell to gather with her whole family for her birthday. So instead, she celebrated the day by giving back—with 53 gifts from her heart. Ferrell went on social media and asked people for suggestions on acts of kindness that she could perform for others during her birth month, one for every year that she’s been alive. “It’s one of the hardest times in my history, so I figured why not make other people smile,” said Ferrell. The requests for her Oct. 4 birthday arrived from across the U.S.: Parents who hoped for words of encouragement for their kids on their first year of virtual school. A woman who wished for a gift basket for her fiancé, a doctor at a hospital’s COVID-19 unit. A friend of a family in Minnesota that lost their 4-year-old to cancer, who wanted them to feel that they were not alone. “I know that might sound cheesy, but it’s just one of my favorite things to do,” said Ferrell, who works as a resident service coordinator at a retirement community. “I just feel that if we live our life trying to make other people smile, I’m the one who gets the most out of it.”
Some people actually had a pretty good year (NYT) Though a wide array of businesses are suffering this year, many that cater to professionals and the elite are doing better than ever. It’s now well-documented that the coronavirus pandemic has both exposed and exacerbated American inequality. While the wealthy and the highly educated haven’t entirely escaped the soul-crushing effects of the virus—quarantine-induced cabin fever, sharing at-home work spaces with Zoom schoolrooms and a number of other shared losses and stresses—they have also been, on the whole, getting richer. The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City found that jobs that can be performed remotely made up a relatively small share of pandemic-related job losses, and according to The Wall Street Journal “workers with bachelor’s degrees or higher had nearly fully recovered jobs lost in early spring” by September. Meanwhile, the vast majority of workers are without college degrees. And many of those who have been unable to work from home have been struggling in shocking numbers. Women and especially mothers employed in the service sector were more likely to experience pandemic-related job loss. Black and Latino adults, who, because of health inequities, are more likely to contract and die from Covid-19 than their white counterparts, have also faced disproportionate financial struggles during this recession. A small but substantial sliver of America, however, is doing better than ever, or at least just fine: enjoying the freedoms that remote work paired with disposable income can bring, using this pause in the typical 24/7 busyness of professional-class social life to take a breath and to reassess and rejigger their lives.
Barr flies (Foreign Policy) U.S. Attorney General William Barr is out of the job, following an announcement by U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday evening. Trump tweeted a letter written by Barr outlining his respect for the president, ending with the confirmation that he would resign on Dec. 23. Barr had reportedly fallen out with Trump over the attorney general’s statement that no significant voter fraud could be found in the Nov. 3 presidential election. Deputy Attorney General Jeff Rosen will now take on Barr’s former post in an acting capacity.
Unwelcome in other countries, Americans are fleeing lockdowns and flocking to Mexico (Los Angeles Times) The pandemic was raging, but on the beaches of Cabo San Lucas it felt like spring break. Tipsy young Americans in bikinis and swim trunks vied for buckets of beer in a push-up competition at a crowded bar. Vendors in wide-brimmed hats plodded through the sand, offering rugs, massages and—under their breath—cocaine. Down near the water, 24-year-old Kierston Jackson sat entwined with her boyfriend, their matching blue surgical masks a concession to the coronavirus. “It’s a good change of pace,” said Jackson, a Houston resident, as she gazed at the gently lapping waves. “I’d definitely prefer to be here with a mask on than in my home without one.” Unwelcome in many countries as the virus surges worldwide, U.S. tourists are fleeing lockdowns at home and flocking to Mexico. Nearly half a million Americans flew to Mexico in October—the most recent month for which data is available—mainly to beaches on the Pacific and Caribbean coasts. The influx of Americans is a ray of hope for the country’s battered tourism sector, which has hemorrhaged more than $11 billion this year.
Natural disasters cost insurance industry $76 billion in 2020—Swiss Re (Reuters) Natural disasters like wildfires which devastated parts of the United States and a record number of hurricanes in the Atlantic caused $76 billion in insured losses during 2020, Swiss Re said on Tuesday. The 40% increase from $54 billion in 2019 dwarfed the $7 billion in man-made losses during 2020, the reinsurance company said in its sigma estimate for the year. The total insurance industry losses of $83 billion made 2020 the fifth costliest year since 1970, the company said. “Losses were driven by a record number of severe convective storms—thunderstorms with tornadoes, floods and hail—and wildfires in the U.S.,” Swiss Re said.
ICC prosecutor sees ‘reasonable basis’ to believe Venezuela committed crimes against humanity (Reuters) The International Criminal Court’s chief prosecutor believes there is “reasonable basis” to believe Venezuela has committed crimes against humanity, according to a report published by the prosecutor’s office on Monday. United Nations investigators in September determined that Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro’s government has committed systematic human rights violations, including killings and torture, amounting to crimes against humanity. The Hague-based tribunal has been examining Venezuela’s case since 2018 and expects to determine in 2021 whether to open a full investigation. Though Maduro’s adversaries have celebrated the ICC’s probe of Venezuela, few believe the process is likely to lead to a short-term change in the struggling nation. ICC criminal proceedings stretch for years, and it has in the past struggled to carry out arrest warrants when it obtains them.
Netherlands to go into tough, five-week lockdown over Christmas (Reuters) The Netherlands will go into a tough second lockdown, with the closure of all schools and shops for at least five weeks, in a government-led push to fight the coronavirus, Prime Minister Mark Rutte said on Monday. “The Netherlands is closing down,” he said to the sound of protesters banging pots and pans outside his office in The Hague. “We realise the gravity of our decisions, right before Christmas.” The measures, detailed in a rare live television address, include limiting gatherings to no more than two people, also at home. An exception will be made for three days around Christmas, when three adult visitors will be permitted, he said. People were further advised to stay at home, not to travel to work and to avoid contact with other people as much as possible. From Tuesday, all public places—including daycare centres, gyms, museums, zoos, cinemas, hairdressers and beauty salons—will close until Jan. 19. Schools will close until Jan. 18. Supermarkets, banks and pharmacies will be allowed to stay open.
Chernobyl tourism (Foreign Policy) In a year has shown that what you do after disaster has struck is often more important than the disaster itself, it’s perhaps fitting that Chernobyl—the site of the world’s worst nuclear incident—is in a push to be recognized as a UNESCO world heritage site. The Ukrainian government is pursuing an initiative to have the site added to the heritage list in a bid to boost tourism to the area, 20 years after the power plant finally ceased operating, and four years since a protective dome over the doomed fourth reactor was completed. 124,000 tourists—a record number—visited Chernobyl in 2019 amid renewed interest following a popular television drama of the same name. Ukrainian Culture Minister Oleksandr Tkachenko now hopes to boost annual tourist numbers to one million.
Russia’s Putin recognizes Biden’s win (Washington Post) More than a month later than most world leaders, Russia’s President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday congratulated President-elect Joe Biden for his victory in the election, a delayed recognition that could set the tone for icy relations. “In his message Vladimir Putin wished the president-elect every success and expressed confidence that Russia and the United States, which bear special responsibility for global security and stability, can, despite their differences, effectively contribute to solving many problems and meeting challenges that the world is facing today,” the Kremlin said in a statement. Putin was one of the last heads of state to acknowledge Biden’s win; Mexico’s Andrés Manuel López Obrador, Brazil’s Jair Bolsonaro and North Korea’s Kim Jung Un are other holdouts. The congratulations come after Biden’s victory became more formal on Monday, when 306 electors officially voted for him.
Silent nights (Worldcrunch) Catholic church officials in Manila, the capital city of the Philippines, have announced Christmas carol activities will be banned, The Philippine News Agency reports. Churches were asked not to organize carolings in order to “protect the public and the choir members” as according to experts, the virus could easily spread through singing, officials say. Christmas carols are an important part of the holiday traditions in the Philippines, a predominantly Catholic country that celebrates the world’s longest Christmas season, from Sept. 1 to New Year’s Eve.
Package-tour diplomacy: Thousands of Israeli tourists flock to Dubai after peace deal (Washington Post) Ashish Negi prides himself on spotting the nationality of tourists as soon as they walk into his jewelry store—so he can be jokey with Americans, chatty with Brits and ready to bargain with Russians—but he was baffled by the man in the tall black hat and the curly sideburns who came in last week. “This was something I had not seen in Dubai,” Negi said of the first ultra-Orthodox Jewish visitor to reach his corner of the city’s traditional gold market, part of a wave of Israeli tourists who have descended on the United Arab Emirates in recent days. In the two weeks since commercial flights began between Tel Aviv and the Emirati cities of Dubai and Abu Dhabi, Israelis have caused a remarkable tourism boomlet in the Gulf nation. Suddenly, Hebrew can be heard throughout the markets, malls and beaches of a destination that was strictly off-limits until the two countries achieved a diplomatic breakthrough in August and established normal relations. More than 50,000 Israelis have brushed aside covid-19 concerns, a terrorism warning and decades of tension to make the three-hour flight across the Arab Peninsula. Israeli tourism officials expect more than 70,000 to arrive during the eight days of Hanukkah, which began last week, in an unprecedented exchange between the Jewish state and one of its historically standoffish Muslim neighbors.
Ten years on, anger grows in Tunisian town where ‘Arab Spring’ began (Reuters) Ten years ago, a fruit seller set himself ablaze in the central Tunisian town of Sidi Bouzid after an altercation with a policewoman about where he had put his cart. Word of Mohammed Bouazizi’s fatal act of defiance quickly spread, sparking nationwide protests that eventually toppled Tunisia’s long-serving leader and helped inspire similar uprisings across the region—the so-called “Arab Spring”. Huge demonstrations broke out in Egypt and Bahrain, governments fell and civil war engulfed Libya, Syria and Yemen. Tunisians are now free to choose their leaders and can publicly criticise the state. Yet for all the chaos they have been through, many people look back on the events of 2010 and regret that their dreams remain unfulfilled. “Something went wrong in the revolution,” said Attia Athmouni, a retired philosophy teacher who helped lead the uprising after Bouazizi’s death by standing on the fruit seller’s abandoned cart to address the crowd the night he died. Protests have flared again in recent weeks across Tunisia’s poorer southern towns against joblessness, poor state services, inequality and shortages.

A primer for celebrating Reuben's Brews' 7th Anniversary.
10 years ago, if someone asked Adam and Grace Robbing's where they saw their lives it might in a baseball stadium taking in the smell of popcorn, slightly-warm beers while nourishing themselves through the comforting sounds of America's pastime. Seven years ago, if you asked them where they saw themselves, they’d simply be happy brewing and selling beer. For those not in the know, back in 2012 Reuben's Brews was one of a small cluster of breweries which approached the business of beer differently. Before Reuben's Brews, the was only four breweries (including Maritime Pacific Brewing Company, Hilliard's Beers, NW Peaks Brewery, and Urban Family Brewing). They didn't know it at the time but soon Reuben's Brews and their distant cousins would learn to share their zip code with the likes of Populuxe, Stoup, Lucky Envelope, Fremont, Obec, Peddler's, and Lagunitas.
With an initial focus on producing some of the area's only Rye ales and lagers, Adam Robbings, along with his assistant (and brother-in-law) Mike Pfeiffer, set out to not only brew award-winning beers but demonstrate that Ballard was maturing in its love of beer. Two expansions and two taprooms later, the brewery grew from a simple upstart to one that features over 30 unique beers between two taprooms, almost weekly releases, and a barrel-aged program that showcases both barrel-aged sours and spirit barrel-aged ales and lagers. Not bad for a brewery that was inspired from a homebrew kit, received on Christmas day. All of this serves as an appetizer as you review your weekend plans, the weekend of September 7th.
Starting at 11 am, on (what will hopefully be) a sunny Saturday, Reuben's Brews invites all to not only visit their two taprooms (at 5010 14th Avenue Northwest and 800 Northwest 46th Street) but also their old location at 1406 Northwest 53rd Street. As part of a limited-time pop-up event, the pilot brewery will be open featuring the first five beers served in 2012 (including American Brown, American Rye, Robust Porter, Nitro Dry Stout, and Roggenbier). In addition to their first five, Reuben's Brews will also offer their Anniversary beer (available at all three locations).
Besides a plethora of Reuben's Brews beers, the staff and ownership will offer something special at each of their locations (in limited quantities). Breaking it down we have learned that their main taproom (5010 14th Avenue Northwest) will offer a free commemorative glass to the first 100 visitors, the Brewtap (at 800 Northwest 46th Street) will offer a limited-edition poster, and finally the Pilot brewery will let you take your glass home through a limited-time "Take your pint" giveaway. Besides free or limited-availability schwag, there will be cans of "There and Now" Anniversary ale, live music and more.
About Reuben's Brews After the birth of their first child Reuben, Adam and Grace embarked on a mission to brew bloody good beer. Originally from the UK, Adam turned a passionate hobby into a family-run brewery crafting nationally and internationally recognized beers in a wide variety of styles. Since opening in 2012, Reuben's has won awards for its beers around the world including at the Great American Beer Festival, the World Beer Cup, the Washington Beer Awards, and has been a top 10 brewery at the US Beer Open three times. Find Reuben’s Brews in the Pacific Northwest and at its taproom located at 5010 14th Ave NW in Ballard, open 7 days a week. Rollie, 22, holds her male baby in the Regenstein Center for African Apes at Lincoln Park Zoo on May 14, 2019. The endangered western lowland gorilla was born May 12. (Jose M. Osorio/Chicago Tribune)
Excerpt from this story in the Chicago Tribune:
Overnight Sunday in the zoo’s Regenstein Center for African Apes, Rollie, a female gorilla born at Lincoln Park 22 years ago, had given birth to an apparently healthy male, the 53rd gorilla birth in the history of the North Side institution.
“It’s like when a (human) mom has a kid,” she said Tuesday from in front of the habitat for the zoo’s western lowland gorillas, a critically endangered species in its native Africa. “Even though this isn’t my first gorilla, I was really shocked and very excited.”
Video footage of the habitat showed the birth taking place at exactly 2 a.m., an event that appeared as matter-of-fact as other bodily functions.
And although just two days had passed by Tuesday, the zoo had seen enough healthy behaviors to feel confident inviting the press in to have a look at the young one, estimated to be 4 to 5 pounds and as yet unnamed.
Those behaviors included nursing by the infant, witnessed by staff before 8 a.m. on that first morning; appropriate bonding by the mother, who has been holding the baby close to her chest since the birth; and the presentation behaviors staff trained Rollie for so that caregivers would be able to get a good early look.
During the 250-day gestation, “we do a lot of maternal training,” said Moyse. “‘Bring your baby to the mesh. Let us touch your baby. Let us see your baby.’”
The zoo has two western lowland gorilla troops, a bachelor group and the one centered on silverback Kwan, 30, the father of the newborn. This is the second gorilla Kwan and Rollie have produced, following Nayembi in 2012, who remains part of the troop.

Rana Uday Singh2 Short Biography
Tumblr media
Rana Uday Singh 2nd
Udai Singh II (4 August 1522 – 28 February 1572) was the Maharana of Mewar and the author of the megacity of Udaipur in the present day Rajasthan state of India. He was the 53rd sovereign of the Mewar dynasty. He was the fourth son of Maharana Sangram Singh (Rana Sanga) and Rani Karnavati, a queen of Bundi.
Udai Singh was born in Chittor. In August 1522, after the death of his father, Rana Sanga, Ratan Singh II was corronated as the new king. Ratan Singh II was assassinated in 1531. He was succeeded by his family Maharana Vikramaditya Singh. During the reign of Vikramaditya, when the Turkic Sultan of Gujarat Bahadur Shah sacked Chittor in 1534, Udai Singh was transferred to Bundi for safety. In 1537, Banbir killed Vikramaditya and commandeered the throne. He tried to kill Udai Singh also, but Udai’s nanny Panna Dai offered her own son Chandan to save him from his uncle Banbir and took him to Kumbhalgarh. She didn’t ask for anything in return moreover. She started living in Bundi and didn’t allow Udai Singh to come and meet her. He lived in secret in Kumbhalgarh for two times, disguised as a whoreson of the governor Asha Shah Depura (Maheshwari). In 1540, he was culminated in Kumbhalgarh by the patricians of Mewar. His eldest son Maharana Pratap from his first woman, Maharani Jaivantabai Songara ( son of Akhey Raj Songara of Jalore), was born in the same time. He’d twenty two women and over 56 sons and 22 daughters. His alternate woman, Sajjabai Solankini gave birth to his son Shakti, Sagar Singh and Vikram Dev. Dheerbai Bhattiyani was his favourite woman and was the mama of his son Jagmal Singh and daughters Chand Kanwar and Maan Kanwar. His fourth woman was Rani Veerbai Jhaala son of Rana Jaith Singh of Kherwa.
In 1562, he gave retreat to Baz Bahadur of Malwa. Using this as a rationale, Akbar attacked Mewar in October 1563. On 23 October 1567 Akbar formed his camp near Chittor. According to Kaviraj Shyamaldas, Udai Singh called a council of war. The patricians advised him to take retreat along with the tycoons in the hills, leaving a garrison at Chittor. Udai Singh retired to Gogunda (which latterly came his temporary capital) leaving Chittor in the hands of his pious chieftains Rao Jaimal and Patta. Akbar captured Chittor after a time-long siege on 25 February 1568. He latterly shifted his capital to Udaipur. He failed in 1572 in Gogunda. Before his death, Jagmal tried to seize the throne but the patricians of Mewar averted Jagmal from succeeding and placed Maharana Pratap Singh on the throne on 1 march 1572.

The Longer Version [Analysis on my own Numerology]
Birth Day Vibration (8) is success-oriented, forceful and outgoing in nature, your Life Path number (7) is more withdrawn and philosophical. You`ll attract situations that emphasize this clash, but you can take advantage of them by focusing on the `how` of achieving success in something you`re personally interested in. It`s also important that you associate with like-minded people, and orient yourself around ideas like goal- setting, personal development and cultivating your powerful intuition. Add a dash of faith and trust in yourself, others, and the things you can`t control, and you`ll have the perfect recipe for an abundant and fortunate life.
- the 8th, 17th, 26th, 35th, 44th, 53rd, 62nd, 71st, 80th, 89th and 98th years of life, should be your best years.
-During December, January, September and October good fortune may come your way, but you should be careful about dietary matters and other physical stress during May, June, November and December. Some of the fortunate and stressful months overlap, but this is because your good fortune may come in the form of extra work, or difficulties connected with pursuing or completing a difficult but satisfying task, or having `too much fun.`
-Your most fortunate days of any month are the 8th, 17th, and 26th, especially when they fall on a Saturday, which is said to be your most favorable weekday.
-You are likely a very deep thinker and a dreamer. You are driven by your research, spirituality, and wisdom, and don’t spend too much time thinking about or pursuing material things in your life.
-Due to your thirst for wisdom, you may be a scholar, doctor, psychologist, poet or professor. If you have a career in business, you probably prefer to work behind the scenes quietly. Your natural tendency is to think introspectively, so you will often seek to achieve enlightenment rather than accomplishment.
-Your introverted and mystical tendencies may sometimes cause you to enjoy spending time alone, pondering philosophies and daydreaming, rather than interacting with other people. Sometimes you may experience loneliness even when you’re in the middle of a crowd. Make an effort to spend time with other people though, because being isolated from others can cause you to be disconnected and aloof, or lead you into depression.
-You will probably have to make special efforts to understand your romantic partner and their needs to keep your relationship happy and healthy. You may often focus more of your energy on satisfying yourself and become angry if your generosity is questioned. You can often easily talk or rationalize yourself out of trouble, but that same skill that makes you good at that will also lead you into trouble sometimes. “The Iroquois Indians say that if we fail to honor “the wishes of the soul” (as opposed to ego agendas), the soul will distance itself from us, leaving us prone to sickness and bad luck, putting us on the road of the walking dead.” 📷 Through numerology, we have a way of glimpsing into the secret depths of the Soul by reading, understanding and honoring the Soul Urge Number, which is defined as being the longing of the inner self.
-Diana, your Soul Urge, or Heart's Desire, has a vibration of Eight. This means you are probably a person who likes to do all things in your life in a very grand way. Your desires for material wealth will typically guide all of your actions as you work toward accomplishing your goals. Your determined spirit and systematic approach to your goals will make you a symbol of success to others. You probably like to live your live with discipline, and may not put the time and effort needed into cultivating your romantic relationships or affections. Your relationship will be most rewarding if you are with a partner who is also ambitious and capable, so you can rely on one another for true understanding and support in your lives. Overall, you will most likely enjoy great success in your personal and professionalrelationships. a large portion of your time and energy to monitoring your life and emotions. Emotions are difficult to control, so you`ll have more success and happiness in your life is you learn to balance your emotions, rather than control them with force. You are organized and take a businesslike approach to many aspects of your life, which can lead you to great success as long as you take care not to be too stubborn. Your power is most useful in your life when you use it for others as well. When you do, you`ll find that you`ll easily achieve your material goals. You`re probably seen as a source of security and strength for many people, and you can have very fulfilling relationships if you remember to prioritize your family and loved ones above your pursuit of material wealth.
-When you consciously work with the Challenge, instead of against it, the Soul will be able to express itself more easily.
-Having a Zero Soul Urge Challenge does not mean that you will not encounter any challenges in your life. There may be times when you need to rely upon yourself to accomplish your goals, and there will be others when you'll need to ask for help. Sometimes you'll benefit from being social and other times you will need quiet and solitude to focus on what you're working to achieve. You should be responsible with your freedoms, and show others your compassionate side-just make sure that you don't let anyone take advantage of your caring nature. When it comes to business matters, make sure you allow yourself time for processing, and move forward on your decisions in an organized fashion.
"Learning about your Expression and its Challenge can help you make decisions and adjust your actions to engineer a future that is more in line with the gifts, interests and talents you possess and share with others."
-Diana, your Expression Number is Nine. This means that you are probably very creative, and have a quiet intensity that attracts others to you, particularly those who are seeking information. You have a rare ability to recover and bounce back from things that might devastate others, and you rarely back down when you're faced with a challenge. This is not to say that you're emotionally numb, however, for Nine is known for its sensitivity and romanticism. When you focus on obtaining goals with a spiritual or philosophical nature, you will find great success and enlightenment without much effort on your part. However, if your pursuits are focused on material gain, you'll likely come up against challenge after challenge. There may be times when you become too focused on gaining a higher status, which can make small issues grow into large, overwhelming problems that are not easy to solve. The arrogance, selfishness and self-righteousness that can come from this path may turn potential allies and supporters into enemies. You have an incredible talent for seeing and communicating the `big picture` outwardly in your life. If you can also use this skill to reflect inward sometimes, you can improve your intuition, make sound decisions, and ensure that others never exploit you.You are very independent, and you would rather lead than follow. You can use this trait for good by taking on some humanitarian work that is directed at bettering the lives of others. You will feel good about providing help and can use your leadership abilities to inspire others.Your organization and management abilities are likely to be your best assets, and you’llprobably be called upon to be responsible in both private and public life. This may make you feel somewhat limited, and you may often have to forego your personal pleasures in order to take care of duties or obligations that you’ve taken on.
-Your success comes from hard work, diligence, patience and orderliness. Honesty is another trait that drives you, but when you are taken advantage of, you may withdraw this desire to help, and become critical and argumentative; this is part of the negative side of this vibration. Stubbornness may lead to dificulties, especially in terms of being emotionally “present.” Following this aspect of your Expression can cause you to become strict and intolerant; at the same time, unless you begin to feel like you’re being exploited, you’ll still be willing to prove your ability to do what others won’t or can’t. Many people with this Destiny Number will jump at the opportunity to prove someone wrong when they say that something can’t be done, but you’ll never take on a challenge that’s impractical, or that you can’t accomplish in a systematic and organized way. Probably the most interesting feature of this vibration (which you may not yet realize) is that you might be better at bringing ideas, plans and dreams into manifestation than most anyone, as long as you make the decision to do so. Although you’re not likely to depend on luck to make things happen, you certainly do not doubt that “where there’s a will, there’s a way.”
-Your Expression Challenge has a vibration of Four, which is about believing in yourself and not letting the expectations of others define you. You may easily get into a pattern of thinking that sacrificing your time is a worthy cause that serves some greater purpose. To master this challenge, you should try not get so immersed in your work that you neglect your social and emotional needs. Your emotional well-being should always be at the top of your list of priorities. Following these guidelines will help you make sure and steady progress, and give you greater enjoyment of life in general.
-Diana, your Personality Number, or Persona, has a vibration of One. You are most likely a person who is driven to be exceptional in everything that you do, and you want to make a good impression on others. When you are at your best, you don't need approval from others or attention drawn to the good things you do. You are act with great dignity, and you are probably the one taking charge or assuming leadership positions. You like to work alone and although you like recognition, you don't seek it out from others. You are good natured, but you love to win. In relationships, you are confident and assertive and will take initiative and make the first move.
-Your Personality Challenge has a vibration of Four, which is all about making sure your personal affairs are in order before you open yourself up to others or offering to help. You might often find yourself rushed or in a frenzy, but if you stay calm and composed on the surface, no one else will typically notice. Always be on time, if not early. Avoid complaining about your problems, because trying to gain sympathy can be seen by others as drain on their energy. It's more fun to rant about things that make you angry, and expressing frustration is a more efficient way to get things `off your chest.`
