99 Ranch Market, 400 S Baldwin Ave, Arcadia, CA 91007

99 Ranch Market opened at The Shops at Santa Anita mall (formerly known as Westfield Santa Anita) on September 30. I missed the opening day but I heard it was chaotic.

The market took over the bottom floor of what used to be Forever 21, near the food court. There are two entrances, one inside the mall and one outside the mall by the parking lot. The space was renovated and it looks new, bright, and clean. It’s a large supermarket yet the Bread Farm bakery and deli across from the main store. The deli was disappointingly small with Chinese crepes (jian bing), bento boxes, steamed bao, mala tang soup, dumplings, etc. I didn’t see any BBQ meat like you’d usually find at a 99 Ranch deli. The bakery also has beverages and sandwiches.

99 Ranch has the typical supermarket items, including fresh flowers (they looked wilted), liquor, housewares, and toiletries, along with a staffed seafood and meat section, fresh seafood in tanks, fresh produce (a decent amount of organic produce too), interesting ice cream imported from China, and more than Chinese groceries. I saw Korean, Japanese, and Filipino items as well.

Complimentary fish cleaning and frying are offered.

The tofu selection wasn’t as good as the other 99 Ranch locations in the area.

Sign up for their rewards program. They always have some items on sale. Parking can be tough if the mall is busy.

I'm not rich by any means but I usually try to find merch that's a half decent deal which can be p hard cuz of scalpers n all that :p

I will say it is cheaper to buy directly from the source if possible (like thru proxy sites n whatever) cuz eng sites will be the easiest to use for a lotta people but are also the first places that will have upcharged prices since sellers will just assume ppl are intimidated of the proxy process

Well, I just found out in Long Island, there happens to be one at a mall which was revamped with mainly Asian businesses. I wonder how it will compare to H-Mart or Mitsuwa.
