Kicking the door wide open, Hawkmoth stretched his arms right out and up over his head. He had just returned from some sort of excursion but never explained what exactly they had been doing. They weren't quiet about being a member of some odd group that hoped to turn the people of the world into monsters.

In fact, Hawkmoth was very vocal about his disdain for humanity as a whole, going as far as to call it a plague.

They shucked off the moth-like coat they wore, watching it drop to the ground with a thunk, then picking it up again and dragging it to his temporary room.

"Did you miss me?" he asked cheekily. "Gone for a few days. Surely you did."

was it peace that TOSAKI truly had desired? resting his tanned hands upon his thighs as he sat in-front of a low hanging table, his jade eyes narrowed at the marble filled with piping tea. he had no idea what he was trying to accomplish by participating in a staring contest with an inanimate object.

with a great reluctance, he brought himself onto his feet and brushed off his pants. his barbed tail twitching in disdain, his nose twitching at the familiar scent invaded his nose, the smell of his roommate. TOSAKI always wondered why he took the other in, but the reason came swiftly.

his roommate, known as HAWKMOTH, used to live in a rundown shed rotten with mold and rot. and the smell was rancid, he had felt like the hairs in his nose had shriveled up and died. not to mention the environment outside his companion’s humble abode, litter with dead bodies left to right, TOSAKI and up and refused to let HAWKMOTH stay there a moment more.

without a moment to spare, he shuffled towards kitchen, squinting his eyes against the harsh light from above, but he continued onward. reaching for pots and pans, gathering ingredients to cook their pairs afternoon meal. he himself wasn’t that hungry, but he needed to head out and ‘harvest’ more food later tonight.

Miraculous Aliens AU Outline

Since I finished Miraculous Descendent, I thought I'd start posting a few more of my aus. Feel free to ask about this one's characters and what different episodes would be like.

This one is actually the base for my Extraterrestrial Help prompt.

Synopsis

After Alaine Bastian sees Ladybug and Cat Noir defeat Stoneheart, she wants to be a hero in the spotlight. She gets the chance when a strange watch that lets her turn into different aliens falls from the sky and attaches to her arm. With this device and the power of its aliens, Alaine creates her own hero persona and uses it to act as a rival hero to Team Miraculous. However, it won't be only Hawkmoth they'll have to deal with.

Story

It's basically a rival AU but instead of a Miraculous, I have an oc using the Omnitrix to battle Akumas. They work with Ladybug and Cat Noir but want the spotlight on themselves. But still want to help people.

The first couple of seasons would actually be similar to Miraculous Ladybug, but there would be Ben 10 elements such as the Bounty Hunters in "Hunted".

Characters

Alaine Bastian/Xtra

The main character of the story and my oc. Alaine is a girl Marinette and Adrien's age and is in Miss Mendeleiev's class.

Alaine is a shy teen who wishes she could be in the spotlight so she isn't forgotten. When she saw Ladybug and Cat Noir defeat Stoneheart, she was both amazed and a little jealous at the attention they were getting. However, things change later that night when she finds the Omnitrix after hearing a crash outside.

Similar to Ben 23, Alaine decides to use the Omnitrix to become popular. However, she knew how dangerous it was for her identity to be known. So, she used the smarter aliens to build herself a hero persona. Specifically, she built herself a special helmet with a digital mask to get her emotions across and give her an autotuned voice to hide her voice.

As Xtra, she acts similar to Adrien as Cat Noir. She likes to show off, throw out one-liners, and do poses (but is embarrassed under her mask) to attract people's attention. She has fun with the persona and using her aliens.

At first, she was tempted to work with Ladybug and Cat Noir. But the popularity she got from seeming like a rival to them made her decide to keep that persona up. However, she is willing to help them when they're in danger, especially Ladybug.

Xtra even streams her fights. Similar to Ben 23, she has recording drones following her that let her record interviews and fights for her own version of the Ladyblog.

Team Miraculous

Ladybug and Cat Noir are relatively the same in this au. Though, they might have some upgrades such as the Charms of Bezel and Charmcaster's spellbook. When they ask the Kwami about Xtra, neither Tikki nor Plagg knows anything about them. However, both recognize the forms Xtra uses as aliens from other planets.

Marinette is more distrusting of Xtra, especially since the other girl will antagonize her and Cat Noir every now and then. But Adrien would be very interested in Xtra as an alien and the two would banter.

However, both run into issues because of the Ben 10 elements added.

Chloe Bourgeois/Charm Queen

Marinette's problem is that after she, Cat Noir, and Xtra dealt with Hex, each kept some of the Charms of Bezel. However, when Sabrina broke into her room during "Darkblade", the girl found the Charm of Telekinesis and brought it back to Chloe when she couldn't find anything.

With the charm, Chloe jumpstarts her Queen Bee arc by using it to become a superhero similar to Lucky Girl. Unfortunately, Chloe takes advantage of this by ramping up her bullying to cause Akumas to fight with the other heroes, and her presence becomes a hindrance. Eventually getting the charm taken from her.

Tristan Cordes/Absorber

And now my version of Kevin. Meet Tristan Cordes, a boy the heroes' age who was born with the power to absorb energy. Ladybug, Cat Noir, and Xtra inspired Tristan to use his powers to fight Hawkmoth.

Cat Noir is actually the first person to find him and see him use his power on an Akuma. The hero is so amazed that he gives Tristan a glowing recommendation. Ladybug is reluctant but decides to let them on after seeing Tristan's power. Tristan would use his ability to absorb the magic around Akumas and use their abilities.

Unfortunately, it comes with a side effect. The negative emotions that make up the Akumas' magic slowly corrupt Tristan's mind and make him unstable.

During Volpina, it reaches its climax during Volpina, when Tristan attacks Xtra and absorbs energy from the Omnitrix. Instead of becoming an amalgamation of different aliens like Kevin, the aliens in Xtra's Omnitrix mix with the different Akuma magic Tristan absorbed, creating hybrid combos (such as Upgrade + Gamer).

I decided to mix a bit of reboot Kevin with the original Kevin when I made Tristan. I love the concept of the Antitrix and wanted to use a version here.

His turning evil takes a hit on Cat Noir. And the cat-themed hero tries to help his former friend. I wanted to give Cat Noir an extra storyline.

Lila Rossi

The recent Italian exchange student, Lila tried to use her lies to become popular. However, she lied about Ladybug and Xtra being her friends and angered the two. Both Ladybug and Xtra confront Lila and Xtra even livestreams the confrontation to quickly put an end to her lies.

Unfortunately, things go downhill when Lila is akumatized. As Volpina, she uses her illusions to sow discord among the heroes. Her illusions are what cause Tristan to go berserk after she makes it seem like all the other heroes are attacking him.

After losing her Akuma, Lila is still after revenge. And she has two perfect people to help her get it against the heroes. The berserk Tristan and the bitter Chloe.

Spoilers ahead for Chapter 76 of Rise of Anatis.

So here we have an akumatized Felix Jr.

In this form, he's called Black Swan and he also had the sentimonster Red Moon with him. Unlike canon, Red Moon isn't technically his creation per say as it's feather will be provided by Mayura.

Design wise, he is based on the black swan, similarly to Felix Sr. I based his clothing on that was a magician and his canon peacock look. I was going to give him a top hat but it just didn't work. He'll probably as a wand as his weapon as well. He will also be a very interesting akuma as he'll be the second one that Hawkmoth can't quite control but as to why. Well, you'll have to read the chapter to find out.

Powerwise, Hawkmoth and Mayura were going to give him a power similar to Simon Says and a sentimonster to help out but it doesn't go the way they expect and he ends up with the ability to jinx and hex people while his Sentimonster becomes Red Moon with it's canon ability.

Anyway, I'm happy with how he turned out

✧ got funky hair coloring going on, blue-gray fading gradient ( almost looks purple in certain light ) while near the part stays a dark brown. shoulder-length as always

✧ non-supernat people think he's got strange tribal lineart tattoos from elbow to wrist. nah, they're otherworldly markings, granting him pseudo longevity via "healing" -- siphoning his own mana reserves constantly ( takes a ton of naps to compensate )

✧ in the middle of his palms are eye tattoos that he can use to "see" into places & traverse beyond the veil betwixt mundane and non-mundane

✧ his tats seem ( are ) sentient, telling him important things -- daily life tips alongside prophetic omens ( like that one comic strip with the woman getting possessed by a demon, but in actuality the demon is helping her out of a depressive funk )

✧ said patron 'deity' is one of those strange long-forgotten gods that everybody never gets the name right of. he just calls them steve.

✧ total whiz with spells, hexes and curses that have to do with words / wording ( e.g., a client walks around with a hexed stone / bag in their pocket, and their harasser goes to speak their dead name only to instead say their personal chosen one )

✧ finds out he can dreamwalk, which is another gift he isn't quite accustomed to yet

✧ also REALLY INTO plant magic, just fyi

✧ thinks social media "witches" are stupid and essentially all just money-hungry grifters

✧ is a "can't sit straight to save his life" bisexual and has a death-head hawkmoth familiar ( which can come alive from a tattoo across his throat / make smaller copies of itself )

✧ he likes humans, angels & angel-adjacent monsters, minotaurs, gnolls, kobolds, & cat types, orc and orc-types, werewolves & werebeasts in general, satyrs, centaurs. the fae occasionally veer into uncanny valley territory. not too much a fan of vampires, though. or zombies / ghouls / thralls

Also, as someone whose favorite show was Scooby-Doo as a kid (and had a crush on Thorn), I love that you took inspiration from the Hex Girls!!! (I also headcanon that if the hex girls were in the same universe as miraculous, then they'd be Juleka's favorite band)

Preach it mate. I had a crush on that goth queen myself. Had the movie with their introduction and wouldn't watch any other part of that movie except the hex girl's song.

But, yeah, I'm getting more of an idea that leads off of what happened in S5 with Luka giving the band over to Juleka. It won't have a traditional villain like hawkmoth and likely just be a pure slice of life thing. We'll see. Powers out so I have all day with me myself and I (my most dangerous of friends)

Counterpoint this could be pre Charmcaster redemption and while the plan was to get akumatized she accidently speeds it up by getting angry at Hex for his over controlling attitude combined with him not caring about her givinging her a power to throw a cross bar that if it is above you turns you into a minion that retains your skills and even worse combined with Akuma Magic she now can use Hex's staff giving her regular spells another powerboost ontop of Akuma powers making her the most dangerous akuma. Charmcaster breaks free when a member of untitled alien team or Zoe, Chloe or Adrien make her realize Hawkmoth is just like Hex and this could be one of the early steps in her redemption and as long as she rejoins Hex and/or Hex forces her to rejoin then we have a fic that's not required reading for the people who don't know about MLB

Could work but honestly I think if that happened then Hex might "go missing" thanks to the locals.

I mean, his VAs can sing, so yeah, he can! In my hc, I see him also being well versed in playing multiple musical instruments that he had to learn as a child.

Y'all have no idea how much I cackled when I saw this. Back when I first started this blog, I made a hc in one of my chains with a blog that no longer exists that Diluc would wear silly socks and no one would know because of his boots. I based it on what I saw during my time in Germany and now in Netherlads. Fun fact, I recently bought socks with pink axolotl on them!

The air tasted stale, even with so much movement and life in the streets Jien found herself almost frowning at the crowds. She rarely ventured into the city, and even less when it was so lively. Another victory on the front lines, she guessed, making a swift exit into another street that seemed less occupied by running children and people and stands.

Perhaps it was the lack of people that made her unable to not spot the familiar hood and moth patterns to the side, but then again - the individual had left a lasting impression on the dragon-lady the last time they met, she could pick the Moth out from any crowd.

As she walked closer, she tilted her head to try and see what they were doing. “Oh, Moth - what destiny it is to meet with you here of all places” she greeted, tone indifferent but carrying and underlying warmth, politeness perhaps. “You departed quite abruptly last time”

He was wearing a differently inspired outfit this time. While it was still a moth, it had many more aspects of locusts and cicadas. More specifically, in the back where a large bow was tied. Spider legs protruded from the knot as well as the previously mentioned wings.
