Yes, we do argue. Tate is protective at best, and possessive at not-even-close-to-worst. He can get heated about trying to keep me in the house, but I don't let him dictate where I go, and I mostly just keep coming back and hope he figures out that I'm not going anywhere if the pattern repeats enough times. That's our most common argument, but we did have a tiny fight over whether I could kill his mother, don't even worry about it.

We're both pretty normal eaters? Tate occasionally dips potato chips in ketchup and I look the other way. It's honestly the ghosts from the 40s and 50s that I can't predict their tastes in food at all!

Ha! We don't really have an option other than living together! I'm not sure, though. We'll only find out one way, and that's when someone new dies in the house. Tate and I will make a pretty odd pair as I get older, but that's okay with both of us. It's not like either of us had a chance of being normal.

One of the few pairings where that's a very easy answer! I would choose The Snow Queen.

I think that the distorting glass shards of the fairy tale are very similar to the Bad Vibes that the house puts onto all the ghosts and inhabitants, making them more dangerous than they naturally were. And then I shall prevail and melt the ice with the power of love just like the girl in the story, with an equal amount of trauma along the way.

okay so let’s start off with the fact that i started reading this book in december (???) and i literally fell in love right there, the way it‘s written is soo kyjwosnduwvsosb literally love it so much you‘re geniuenly one of the most talented writers i know and i always enjoy your work sm!! (im sooooooo excited for star lost you don’t even know)

when the last chapter came out, i was legit glued to my phone and i couldn’t stop reading it, until i noticed that it’s eventually coming to an end, since i noticed the last sentences were coming closer and closer and closer.

and that’s where i noticed that i’m wayyy to attached to this book 😭. i started to become so so sad so i literally had to stop reading or else i would probably cry.

so i did stop, and the attachment to the book got less after about 2months 😀😀 i came to the conclusion that i was ready to finish the last sentences and to start with the two epilogues aswell,,,,, (oh and btw this happened last week 😁)

in conclusion:

Sweet Dreams is still probably my most well put-together fic, so I don’t know about anything I’d want to change in the fic itself - but I would like to go back and actually prep my reasoning for certain things, because that caused a delay of a few weeks while I tried to figure out WHY Gordon was getting whammied when he made eye contact with Benrey, and WHY he got pulled into the dream-world in the first place. I have a bad habit of writing things and going “eh, I’ll figure the logic out later,” and then Future Me is stuck cursing Past Me’s flippancy and fixing everything up for her so the story actually make sense.

💁- Did readers influence change any part of this story?

Okay this is really self-indulgent for both of us, but you! You solved a problem in TGAT for me! I needed Gordon and Benrey to have some sort of reconciliation after the arm removal scene, because I needed the plot to move along and they had to be on the same page already for the next part. Then you reminded me that Scorpy's computer froze up because the helicopter heap glitch killed his internet and I was like "ah. perfect." And that gave me a way to have Gordon make a choice to help Benrey, and then for Benrey to turn around and help Gordon, and that would let them get on their way to being an actual cohesive pair in time for the last chapter.

☠️- Did you consider killing off any of the characters? Did you?

Peach you can't ASK this for a fic that's still in progress! Some Stars isn't even a third of the way in right now, there's a LOT left to go. So, uh, I plead the fifth. (But also, it's me - so yes, I have "considered" killing every character at least once. They're on a rickety spaceship headed into the unknown - a whole heck of a lot can go wrong...)

📈- Was there a clear character arc you wanted____ character to go on?

That's probably what I'd talk about for this question anyway, so thank you for asking! Yes, Evergreen is much more about the characters (especially Gordon) learning more about Benrey than it is for the audience or the writer to be learning about Benrey. Both Benrey and Bubby are different kinds of repressed in this fic, but neither of them would talk about the atrocities Black Mesa committed against them, and Dr. Coomer and Tommy wouldn't know. So things like the torture are news for most of the Science Team, and Gordon especially is going to be looking at this not through the lens of a scientist, but from the perspective of a father with a child of his own that's about this size, and wait, hang on, even if it's an alien that's fucked up -

So yes, Gordon is going to gain a different perspective on his alien buddy's behaviors after interacting with a younger version of him.
