"What ham-fisted wreck made these?" Starscream huffed, dropping the petri dish onto the table. It clattered loudly in the silence. "It's lumpy."

Skyfire suppressed a twinge of hurt at the curl of disgust on the seeker's lip plates. It was just petri paste. It didn't need to look anything extraordinary.

"It's not that important." The shuttle said softly, gently placing the dish back into the sterile cooler. Resiglass was better than anything that the earthlings had managed to manufacture but it was still quite lucky the dish had avoided a break.

Starscream scoffed and folded his arms, giving the shuttle a disapproving once over. "You're too nice for your own good, always covering for others when they don't deserve it."

Skyfire tilted his helm, regarding the mech curiously. "What makes you think I wasn't the one that made it?"

"Impossible." Starscream shook his helm with a dismissive wave of his servo. "You were always so particular with your dishes. You even had that little tool you cobbled together with those metal dowels."

The seeker regarded Skyfire expectantly.

His memory banks shuffled a bit but nothing familiar came of it. The shuttle shook his head. "I don't remember, I'm sorry."

The seekers optics brightened fractionally but he quickly buried all other traces of his surprise. His wings still flittered back and forth as he averted his gaze.

"Well, it's not that important. We can always just make you another one."

i’m SO curious to how daisys gonna react to this because in AFT she treats bertie being a suspect as mostly a joke, but then in MAM she’s genuinely concerned about the possibility of him being a murderer and tries to resist investigating him. from looking at the blurb, it seems like he’s being publicly framed/blamed while previously it was just daisy and hazel suspecting him. so like what’s her mindset going to be on this??

Amazing that this ask is how I found out about it.

Funny thing is, someone just asked me if I think Laura will ditch him after ASfoS and I was like nah. I've never been proofed right this fast, so that's kinda hilarious.

Here is a horrifying thought tho, if they are wed and Landy dies that means Laura would inherit the rights to the SP IP. Imagine SP written by Laura. You think it's bad now? It can always get worse :)

Thinking a lot of about the Aerialbots since one is going to show up in chapter nine. My characterization of them is kind of a mess, so it's time again for another bullet list with spoiler warnings.

They're all less than a year old in ASFOS. Fresh and baby-faced soldiers of war. Not to infantilize them, they have taken lives and have fought on the battlefield, but they are still young.

The Autobots are reluctant to use them for straight up battle deployment and often send them on reconnaissance-centric missions with active, assigned backup.

I personally envision them as a mix of G1, IDW and this TFA depiction by Dou-Hong when it comes to design. G1 is fine as a show but when it comes to Gestalts I like it when it's not just the mostly same mech with a different bad paintjob every time.

They are new to the world and all naturally very curious but it manifests in different ways. Fireflight is more childlike with his curiosity and will ask every question he can and explore to the point of causing trouble where as Slingshot find difficulty in expressing his ignorance of the world which often manifests as anger and frustration. His brothers make a point to try and mitigate this by holding "meetings" at the end of every day where they get together to share what they learned.

Skydive is still the bookworm and is easily the most responsible behind Silverbolt. Skydive is actually very similar to Skyfire in personality, but finds it far easier to assert himself. He is still the Aerialbots most skilled flier, but doesn't believe it. He would be far easier to convince him of his academic prowess than his physical ability.

Air Raid is second in command after Silverbolt, and finds it the easier to push his leader's buttons. He also uses swords and fists far more than gunfire. His ability with his sword was programmed into him and is a point of friction for him, since he's been jeered at before for not having "worked" for his battle abilities.

Slingshot wears a visor similar to Jazz's and I'm keeping his love for Rock Opera from the IDW comics. Also his weird kibble from his first toy where his wings hang super low on his body! Dude's just got all kinds of interesting tidbits to pull from.

Fireflight is the shortest and is an outlier. He can discharge a mid-range pulse that can temporarily disrupt a neural sensor net. Effects include a range from mild headaches, dizziness and confusion to full on audio/visual hallucinations. As he is young and the ability is largely untrained, it goes unused.

Silverbolt is still our height-fearing favorite leader. He meets up with Hot Spot weekly for a sort of "leadership meeting" since they both lead gestalts. He currently struggles a lot with finding meaning outside of leading his team, as he hasn't found any hobby or activity he feels strongly about. Air Raid used to get under his armor by telling him his acrophobia was his only defining trait until it caused a blowout fight so bad that Silverbolt shut him out of the bond for the first time.

2024–09–10 After occupying the first quarter of the hour with something else, we hear from the Paul Scherrer Institute in Switzerland, and a recently published report on “Technology Monitoring of Nuclear Energy”. This is officially part of the “Energy Strategy 2050”, which calls for Switzerland to decarbonize its whole energy supply while withdrawing from nuclear power, which currently supplies more than a third of Swiss electricity. Recent decisions by the Federal Council will hopefully lead to a reconsideration of this “Strategy”.
