oh i probably have covid. yay
#someone at my work had it and spread it around and it's what everyone else has so it's probably also what i have#would explain why my coworker has like no symptoms besides a runny nose because she just had covid less than six months ago#i haven't taken a test it wouldn't really matter atp anyway because i'm not contagious anymore and#my work doesn't allow paid sick days off for covid anymore#they used to do five days but people took advantage of it so now they don't#well at least it seems like i don't have a severe case like i thought i would since i technically have a slightly compromised immune system#because i'm prediabetic

F1 and VO2 Max Training

(x)(x)(x)(x)(x)
What is VO2 Max Training and why do drivers do it?
VO2 Max is the maximum amount of oxygen the body absorbs during exercise and can measure aerobic fitness levels. VO2 = Volume of oxygen consumed by the body per minute - it is one of the strongest predicters of heart disease and death. It is the best measure of cardiac and respiratory fitness available.
VO2 is measured in ml (of oxygen) / kg (body mass) / minute
How much oxygen the body consumes - the amount of blood the heart pumps per minute and how much oxygen was taken from it.
Now...why do F1 drivers need this?
Drivers put extreme demand on their cardiovascular, respiratory and overall physical health during races. Their bodies are subjected to enormous amounts of g-force and experience extreme heat and stress. They need a lot of energy to do this and as a result can burn a lot of calories per race.
VO2 max training is a useful measurement to assess a drivers endurance at their maximum during exercise which they are subject to during a race. The strain they're under during a race would require their bodies to be pushed to the max, requiring optimal oxygen intake and energy production.
It can ensure drivers are fit enough to endure the stress they subject their bodies to despite the environment within the car - maximum speeds/ heat. It gives drivers and their teams a greater understanding of how hard they can push their bodies and also how they can further maximise their performance during races.
Want to know a bit more about the science? Read below.
Now the (more) science-y bit - oxygen is used in respiration and as you breathe in oxygen the lungs turn it into energy called ATP (adenosine triphosphate). This powers the cells and helps release the CO2 in the body that's created during respiration when you breathe out.
The greater a persons VO2 max, the more oxygen a body can consume and the more effectively the body can use this to create the maximum amount of ATP energy and the better the body can handle aerobic/ cardio exercise.
During the test the goal is to get to maximum exercise to determine max heart rate, vo2 max and an estimated lactate threshold. The test measures oxygen consumption and CO2 production using a mask to determine values. The goal is to run at a comfortable speed but not too comfortable for around 10 minutes to max out oxygen consumption and heart rate. During the test heart rate is measured using the ECG dots you can see on the chest.
The Fick Equation is used to calculate VO2.
VO2 (mls O2/ minute) = cardiac output (stroke volume x cardiac output) x arteriovenous oxygen difference (difference in O2 content between arterial and venous blood - how much O2 is used by tissues in systemic circulation).
So in short, VO2 is how much oxygen the body consumes - how much blood the heart pumps per minute and how much oxygen was taken from it.

pissgenic changed their URL to syscourser-against-misinfo jsyk.
they posted something about DID being trauma based when (shocking ik /s) that's fact and what people are arguing is that one part of the disorder of DID is not exclusive to DID (aka SYSTEMHOOD).
like, yeah, no shit ofc trauma makes you have worse memory and big amnesia barriers that give you the criteria of DID. if you're a system but dont have trauma then you dont have the disorder.
i want to scream atp
Yeah, even as someone who believes DID can exist without trauma, my own opinion is that it's going to be so rare as to be statistically insignificant.
I do think the biggest stickler there is going to be the amnesia criterion as you say. There just isn't any research into systems, including OSDD systems, who don't meet that criterion.
I want to note a few things myself from that post in addition to your points.
Math Stuff
The percentage here is 1% of the general population. If we assume Tiktok as a perfect representative sample of the general population...
There should be 1.35 million Tiktok users with DID from the United States alone. This isn't including OSDD or Partial DID. Nor other forms of plurality.
Between January and March of 2023, 14 billion videos were uploaded.
This means, statistically, 144 million TikTok videos should have been made by DID systems in that three month period.
Putting this into perspective, the number of Tiktok videos made by people with DID (assuming that 1% of Tiktoks are made by people with DID) would be the equivalent to the entire population of Russia. In that three month period
"AFABs"
I don't understand why they pointed out this demographic when that's the demo most likely to have DID.
Different studies show different ratios, but with women (most of whom are AFAB) always being more likely to develop it.
By the way, Tiktok also leans female!
This means that this variable should increase the percentage of TikTokers with DID compared to the general population.
The Big Bang
I'd argue the only big bang is in awareness. If 1% of people have DID, then I think DID systems might be underrepresented.
If there's an increase in the number of people identifying as having DID, but that's still less than the 1% of the population who have it, then maybe that just means more people with the disorder are becoming aware earlier and more willing to talk about it openly.
And if a disproportionate amount of what you see on your home page is system content, as you suggest, this can easily be attributed to the algorithm.
People not in the system community would probably see little to no DID content.
This is really semantics.
John Locke defines a person as "a thinking intelligent Being, that has reason and reflection, and can consider it self as itself, the same thinking thing in different times and places."
I believe the explanation of alters in the above quotes meet that definition of a person under Lockian philosophy.
I also disagree with the idea that viewing alters as people is harmful. Viewing them as separate people can hypothetically foster both increased communication and empathy. (People tend to be kinder to others than they are to themselves.) This could aid in treating down dissociative barriers with the right mindset.
Current treatment does push parts philosophy, but treatment that leans into using person-philosophy to build empathy between members of the system hasn't yet been tested against it.
Personally, I'd love to see a person-based treatment plan devised, and an experiment conducted to determine which was most effective for the most people. As of this moment, any speculation as to which is healthier is based on opinion.
What?
The paper isn't supporting the sociocognitive model???
The sociocognitive model is the opposite of the trauma model, claiming all DID is created through fantasy! And it's clear from the moment this quote starts off calling it the "so-called" sociocognitive model that the paper isn't supporting it.
What I think they're thinking this is about is so-called "Imitated DID", which I've discussed the numerous flaws of extensively and in great detail:
Both of these are deeply flawed constructs. But DO NOT GET THEM CONFUSED!
They are incredibly different beasts!
The former claims DID isn't caused by trauma, while the latter was invented by psychiatrists to protect themselves from lawsuits from misdiagnosed patients.

I guess I should call you Mr. Curly then! Or Miss, Mrs..? Correct me if I'm wrong! What happens if you go bald or, worse, get a buzzcut haha
Your frustration with FibroFree... I get it. I don't have FMS myself, but my sister-in-law does. I remember how much she suffered while fighting for the right to affordable healthcare. That's the kind of thing I expect when TRPC-R finally hits the market. The system is broken. Don't tell me if it's too personal - do you have FMS?
I wasn't part of the team developing TRPC-R though I was here when the incident occured. I got the second-hand account from my late mentor in the immediate aftermath and, oh boy... she's deceased, so sharing won't put her in legal trouble, although I must be vague for the details aren't public.
Let's just say... you know how TRPC channel activation increases cardiac growth, right? And TRPC-R regulates the activation of these channels in low gravity to counteract hypotrophy in astronauts. No problems there. HOWEVER. Say one of the test subjects got their hand on sweetener from a 'small-horse delivery' company (not naming names) and, say, the sweetener happens to be cut with a stimulant that causes exponential growth in combination with TRPC-R... now, I'm not a medical professional like you, but I'm sure you'll agree that a human heart should remain INSIDE the body, and it certainly shouldn't explode out of their chest.
The examination room was on lockdown for a week. I can't fathom how the poor nurse doing the medical check felt, but they left on the next shuttle to Earth and we haven't heard from them since.
By the way - you probably know already - there's a super galactic storm heading in your direction. It might miss you. If it doesn't, please, please, PLEASE message me as soon as you can.
- xoxo, Pheobe
P.S. I'm SO glad you asked about anoxygenic photosynthesis! Here are the facts: one, AP is photosynthesis in the abscence of oxygen. Two: two domains are capable of AP - archae and bacteria. Three: all known extant Martian organisms are believed to belong to these domains. These three facts are foundational to Martian/Terran Divergent Theory. You may be thinking "Pheobe, what about subterranean Martians; how do they photosynthesize in the abscence of light?" - an excellent question! This is the crux of the matter, and a heated source of debate. You see... [read more]

Please, 'Mr Curly' was my father, I assure you that 'Curly' is perfectly fine. :-) I fear to imagine the day I go bald, I guess I'll just have to change my ID.
I don't have FMS, no, but with the amount of people that was funnelled through the hospital I worked at I got to see many cases, and it's incredibly frustrating to have the treatment readily available yet to be completely barred from accessing it. I'm thinking of going rogue sometimes, but you never heard it and I never said it. I'm sorry to hear about your sister-in-law.
...Okay, I did not actually know about the stimulant in sweetener, and I studied the packaging. This is...concerning. Even if the chances of someone being on TRPC-R are already low, and even lower of them ingesting a certain brand of sweetener, even one case is one too many -- and makes me wonder what else I'm not aware of that I should be. You've given me a lot to investigate, thank you! Albeit at the cost of...erm... a cor extrathoracicum event. Yeesh. I've seen many a harrowing case, but I don't think a spontaneous heart evacuation like that was amongst them.
Wow, that is a hefty file, I'm setting it to download immediately. Many thanks! Please know that you are saving me from frankly lethal levels of boredom with so much to read.
Right, forgot to add -- thank you for the heads up on the storm too! I'm sure we'll be fine, the ship is in very capable hands. :-) See you on the other side.

Genuine question
Hype is a double-edged sword, especially for very young players like Mirra and Joao (and forgive me if these are not very similar situations) but do folks feel like there's less hype with Mirra than with Joao/talented atp players?
Am I just not in the right Mirra hype circles? She's younger, ranked in the Top 15 (and looking like she'll make Top 10 this year), and won her first title last year. Beats Top 20 players semi-regularly and very high tennis IQ.
I'm so excited for Joao, don't get me wrong, but is it also because his game fits the eye test better? ATP hype over WTA? (which is a systemic issue as well)
Genuinely been wondering this and would love insight!

Sinner got banned reached a settlement with WADA and accepted a ban for 3 months. Most ppl r salty coz the gap between him and the World no2 is pretty wide and there's no Grand Slam in that period. Me be like- obvio, it's advantageous to him. it's a _settlement_. If he didn't get any advantage, he would've let it be dragged to court. If WADA had the confidence that the Court would ban him for the 2 yrs that they were demanding or more, they won't have settled for this. EOD 😀
Now, as for ppl parading around Stan's statement, saying that most ppl on tour share the same view and only few (Like Krygios) are brave enough to share it. Look, u can know that someone's not at fault yet still feel salty for not getting the same sorta privilege- that's human nature, most ppl r not saints. Who's responsibility it is that the standards remains uniform for all? ATP, WTA, ITIA, WADA, etc. Sinner and Swiatek had the privilege to respond to their cases in a timely manner and had the means to hire efficient and expensive lawyer but that doesn't change the fact that it's not they who r influencing the process but the authorities. And, yes, it's stupid to raise the threshold for detection when we know that the time gap between doping and testing might have removed significant traces from the body.
Sinner is my current fav player on tour but I can see myself in the shoes of poorer, less fortunate players too. Now, some might say that the "contamination through physio" excuse is dodgy- everything is dodgy once u pin it under microscope enough. Yes, it was stupid of him for not telling his physio to wear gloves if the physio had an open cut and Sinner had skin condition. It was stupid and now he will probably pay for it throughout the career coz of the allegations. But before gunning him down, we should remember that the independent tribunal found him innocent and WADA themselves prolly considered their case against him to be paper thin enough to accept the settlement.
If u wanna blame anyone, blame the system and the authorities for not being fair.
And this might be a controversial take but because it's so hard to figure out the truth from lies, I think the minimal preliminary bans should be the norm for such cases. I know I know it's not always the player's fault, that's y, instead of having a public outcry, there should be a clear cut instructions for this. In this essay, I will-

I have also realized that last time I was having bone pain and seemed to be dealing with high blood calcium, taking magnesium really helped. It would also lower my blood pressure [one main risk for kidney damage when they slow down is your blood pressure getting too high]. So long as I don't over-do it, starting to take some magnesium again will help with both blood pressure and with getting extra calcium and phosphorus out of my blood so it stops fucking with my bones, and will help prevent me from developing cardiac spasms this time.
All of this really was way worse 5 years ago, and I recovered. I recovered while not even realizing I should be avoiding phosphorus or sugar... And eating mostly oreos and pork to avoid letting my blood calcium spike [because it was causing heart attacks, see I am not even having daily heart attacks! I wish that was a joke].
And I think the only reason why the problem came back is because I had coca cola every day for like 4 months [in pursuit of atp] and then started a daily multivitamin... And then had loratadine twice daily for 1-2 weeks because of that autoimmune attack -and- stacked aspirin and avdil and another antihistamine on top of it. I think if I just do not do that, I should be okay. The autoimmune attack has calmed the fuck down now anyway.
I think so long as I do a recovery plan and do not drink coca cola daily or have a daily multivitamin anymore, I'll be okay, it's just going to take time to recover and that's very annoying because my hands/arms really fucking hurt, and painkillers might make the problem worse and aren't helping very much anyway.
And to be clear the only reason I am not already at the hospital or clinic asking for tests now, is because I have been through this before and it has been -proven- they will go out of their way not to help me until my symptoms are so far past that all anyone can do is speculate on what the problem was and if I had "really stopped peeing for over a week" or was "really" having what perfectly describes cardiac spasms including my blood pressure suddenly tripling. All it'll do is run my body down and expose me to the sun and corona which is probably part of what triggered this to begin with. I -also- wish doctors would do their jobs and take me seriously so it was actually of use for me to go to a doctor about this... But also my doctor just gave me the worst kind of 'doctor breaking up with you' phone call and I haven't tracked down a local clinic yet that isn't part of their doctor clique.
I am asking you not to worry. And I am doing it in good faith that I really will be fine.
I was so so so so so much closer to dying of this 5 years ago and no one helped me then either, in fact my roommates were consistently bringing corona home, caused a black mold problem in my room and kept letting the c0 from the dryer exhaust flood the basement where I lived... And that's not happening this time either! So don't worry too much. My kidneys and liver seem to do the same thing as my thyroid gland [bounce back so they can threaten to fall under attack all over again sometime later].
They gave my thyroid 5 months to live 10-15 ish years ago, and it's like, fine actually, I just have to manually manage my iodine intake because it's my immune system's favourite chew toy. The problem with my thyroid is literally that it just keeps healing instead of dying so I am -stuck- in the hyperthyroid initial phase of thyroiditis... Indefinitely [hence having hashimoto's that somehow acts like graves disease and halfway tests that way because my thyroid levels are high as shit instead of low]. My immune system attacks my organs and tissues and then if I can give them what they need and calm down the attack, they heal. I have no choice in this and I have never had a doctor who actually knew the full scope of what they were looking at anyway. My body just chews on itself for fun and I can't stop any of it.
I am going to be whiny about it. This is me being whiny about it.
I am used to bounding back from everything withing like 3 days unless it's an ongoing autoimmune problem... The last time this took MONTHS to feel significantly better and like a year+ to fully stop having heart problems. Again, it was way worse last time and I had way less idea what was happening, but I don't want to deal with this for the next 3-6 months and that's making me feel more whiny about the whole thing. Like your hand hurting is one thing, but knowing it's going to keep hurting like that for half a year? Instantly exhausting. Migraines suck, but knowing you have had them last 1-3 months without stopping and that advil won't save you? ahahahahahahaha
But I'll find a way to cope. I'll probably just get slightly weird about something online. But in my defense when I was dying of organ failure last time, and was exposed to c0 and black mold at the same time, no one accused me of those things, so I have to imagine I somehow managed to not be *that* weird.
And if I don't get better and my kidneys keep getting worse I will go to a clinic and demand they test my kidney function like a broken record until someone does, and if I am far gone enough to actually need treatment, they will have a very hard time denying me treatment. I will involve lawyers if I have to. I will talk to whatever bodies of authority can do anything to a doctor at all and I will make myself the biggest pain in the ass. My doctor already "patient fired" me, so if I think my life is actually on the line they will find out how much MORE annoying I can chose to be. I prommy <3
The only reason I am not doing that now is that the problem isn't far gone enough that it'll help me more than hurt me.
The only downside is that one of the best ways to decrease blood calcium and phosphorus is to make your urine more acidic... But I already have gout, so there's some kind of balancing act I need to figure out here and a question of how many beets I should actually be eating and which pain/problem is worse or more pressing. There's a chance that if I ignore my liver entirely for now and strip all excess purines etc from my diet I can keep a few key things incorporated and not make either problem any worse. And at least all information I can find all confirms green tea will help every problem I have without hurting any of them, and I have this whole fucking collection I couldn't drink before because it make me pee 50 times a day.
Worse case scenario I deal with gout for way longer to get the extra phosphorus out of my blood so the calcium bone pain thing stops being a problem and then address the gout.
And complain about it T~T I want steak and cokey cola.
#eugh I have to go pee again#see#kidneys still work#so I can diet and *correct beverage* my way out of this one too#I just have to start eating fish instead of steak again and have more fresh veggies

Optimize Your Prime: How NMN Helps Entrepreneurs and CEOs Stay Young and Focused
In high-performance environments, success is no longer defined solely by intelligence, opportunity, or capital. Today’s entrepreneurs and executives are competing in a game of longevity both physical and cognitive. The real competitive edge lies not just in better strategy, but in better biology.
As the pace of business accelerates, mental fatigue, declining focus, and energy fluctuations have become common complaints among professionals at the top. The challenge is not a lack of ambition, but rather the body’s decreasing ability to keep up with the demands of leadership. This is where cellular optimization enters the conversation specifically through a molecule called NMN (Nicotinamide Mononucleotide).
Understanding the Core Issue: NAD⁺ Decline
Nicotinamide Mononucleotide is a precursor to NAD⁺ (Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide), a critical coenzyme found in all living cells. NAD⁺ is involved in over 500 biological processes, including cellular energy production, DNA repair, and gene expression related to aging.
However, NAD⁺ levels decline significantly with age. Research suggests that by the time individuals reach their 40s or 50s, their NAD⁺ levels may be reduced by more than 50% compared to their younger years. This decline can manifest as decreased stamina, slower recovery, mental fatigue, and a diminished ability to manage stress, key liabilities for anyone in a leadership role.
The Executive Reality: Chronic Cognitive and Physical Demands
Entrepreneurs and CEOs face a unique blend of cognitive strain, decision density, and physical stress. Long meetings, international travel, poor sleep, and the constant requirement for rapid, high-stakes thinking all compound over time.
These demands result in:
Mental fog and reduced focus
Decreased physical energy throughout the day
Poor sleep quality and slower recovery
Increased susceptibility to stress and burnout
Early signs of biological aging
Traditional solutions like caffeine, nootropics, or adaptogens offer temporary relief but do not address the root cause: cellular energy depletion and systemic NAD⁺ decline.
NMN: A Science-Driven Solution for High Performers
NMN has gained widespread attention in scientific and professional communities for its ability to elevate NAD⁺ levels and restore cellular function. Unlike most generic supplements, NMN targets the foundational systems that impact energy, resilience, and cognitive sharpness.
Key benefits of NMN supplementation include:
1. Enhanced Cognitive Function
Increased NAD⁺ supports mitochondrial function within neurons, leading to improved mental clarity, memory retention, and executive function especially under sustained workload and pressure.
2. Sustained Physical Energy
By boosting NAD⁺, NMN helps optimize ATP (cellular energy) production, reducing mid-day fatigue and improving workout recovery and overall physical stamina.
3. Longevity and Cellular Repair
NMN activates sirtuins, a class of proteins that regulate aging, DNA repair, and inflammatory responses. This is critical for entrepreneurs who seek to extend not just lifespan, but healthspan, the years lived in optimal condition.
4. Metabolic Efficiency and Resilience
NMN has been shown to support healthy glucose metabolism, cardiovascular function, and sleep regulation, factors that indirectly enhance productivity and stress resilience.
Introducing Nutridom NMN 500mg: Professional-Grade Support for High Achievers
Nutridom NMN 500mg is a high-purity, research-grade NMN supplement manufactured in Canada to meet the needs of demanding professionals. It is designed for individuals who require consistent, measurable improvements in cognitive clarity, energy output, and long-term wellness.
Product highlights:
500mg of pure NMN per capsule

Free from artificial additives, soy, gluten, and GMOs
Manufactured in GMP-certified Canadian facilities
Whether you are leading a company, managing multiple ventures, or navigating global markets, Nutridom NMN 500mg provides targeted, biologically relevant support to help you operate at peak capacity.
Conclusion: Staying Ahead Requires More Than Hustle
In an environment where burnout is the norm and performance is non-negotiable, taking care of your cellular foundation is not a luxury, it is a leadership imperative. NMN is not a quick fix. It is a scientifically supported, long-term investment in your mental edge, physical energy, and personal longevity.
To remain resilient in the face of complexity, uncertainty, and growth, high-performing professionals must now look inward toward biology, not just behavior.

obsessed w the fact that my area (specifically by my school) has so much radiation that if you get sick (from the radiation - which they don't provide testing for) they will pay you compensation.
not that I'm saying anything I'm 100% positive about but I do know that "school air" isn't just a joke in my school. It leaches the color out of people's skin, "allergies" are much more common, and people that should have significantly stronger immune systems atp get sick so much more often than they used to in elementary/middle school. (not even reflecting COVID numbers. like it's every few weeks about half of my classmates are out bc of allergies or stomach bugs. even when numbers are lower in our area.)
not to mention the black mold they found last year that shut down the second gym for the rest of the school year that is definitely in the theater/band hallway. and the other molds that also grow there. And the fact that literally only the cafeteria and bathrooms get cleaned. I don't think the theater hall has been cleaned since the building was built.
anyways if the government wants to send me a few thousands I wouldn't mind

USAF is ready to accept the T-7s, flight tests start in the 'next few weeks'
Fernando Valduga By Fernando Valduga 12/08/2023 - 20:01in Military
The U.S. Air Force will officially take ownership of its first production T-7A training jet “in the coming weeks” and will quickly move on to flight tests at the Boeing contractor's facility in St. Louis, a service officer said last week.
After that, the first two Red Hawks will be transferred to Edwards Air Base, California, within "September" to continue testing, T-7 division chief Colonel Kirt Cassell told reporters at the Life Cycle Industry Days conference on July 31.
In April, U.S. Air Force procurement executive Andrew Hunter announced that the T-7 would not reach initial operational capacity until the beginning of 2027 - three years after its original 2024 target. Then, the Office of Government Responsibility (GAO) said in May that the relationship between the USAF and Boeing was "tend" and predicted that Boeing might not even meet the revised 2027 schedule.
Cassell said that the U.S. Air Force and Boeing have redefined their relationship since then. “There were leadership changes,” he said. "At the PEO level and at my level within Boeing, they reorganized the attack. ... And then there were many changes, which actually just gave us a new set of eyes. I have a new deputy who joined the program. So, we have a new pair of eyes and we really just invigorate our relationship."
In May and June, the first T-7 production representative began to undergo taxi tests and then made his first official flight with a USAF pilot.
Behind the scenes, Cassell said, the U.S. Air Force and Boeing have been working together to ensure that flight tests can begin as soon as the first jet, dubbed the T-2 or ATP-2, is officially transferred to the U.S. Air Force.

"The team, collectively Boeing and the U.S. Air Force, has been working overtime," Cassell said. "As if I wasn't joking, working overtime, until late at night, to overcome acceptance. We should accept this aircraft here in the next few weeks. Once completed, we worked hard to prepare for the flight tests. We have completed the appropriate test readiness reviews, these are completed. We have completed the appropriate test planning requirements."
Soon after ATP-2 is accepted by the U.S. Air Force, the service expects to appropriate a second aircraft, called T-1 or ATP-1. The two fuselages will test different factors - flight sciences and charges, respectively, Cassell said.
"There is little or nothing on our way to get this jet, ATP-2, up and running," Cassell said. "Let's start flight tests in St. Louis. And then, around September, that's when we'll transition from APT-2 and then APT-1 to Edwards for continuous flight testing."

Putting the T-7 back on track and avoiding further delays will likely be crucial to satisfy lawmakers who have expressed concerns about the program. Acclaimed at its launch for proving how engineering and digital design are innovative technologies to accelerate the launch of the product on the market, the first aircraft representative of production went from the clipboard to the first flight in 36 months.
Digital design is “completely transforming the way we do systems engineering,” said General Duke Z. Richardson, head of the Air Force Material Command, in 2022. Boeing and Saab employees predicted that this would "revolutionize" the way aircraft are designed and built.
Then came the delays. In 2021, the U.S. Air Force said that the T-7 suffered from vortex detachment at high angles of attack, making it unstable on the rolling axis. Problems arose with the jet's flight control software, and then doubts arose about the coach's ejection seat system - which was necessary to accommodate a wide range of body sizes. The USAF and Boeing discussed the test data and how to interpret it.

In May, USAF Secretary Frank Kendall suggested that digital engineering had been "exaggerated" as a way to reduce development time and cost, warning that there are no shortcuts to testing in the real world.
Boeing and the U.S. Air Force now say that the T-7 problems have been largely fixed. But the legislators are skeptical. A provision in the House version of the National Defense Authorization bill would require the Air Force to assess the "risks associated with the overlap of the development, testing and production phases of the program and risks related to the management of contractors". It is not yet known whether this provision will survive the House-Senate conference to reconcile the versions of the House and Senate bill.
