We Are Back (With New Projects!)

Sorry for the long radio silence my friends, the last few years have really put our polycule through the ringer (but many good things happened as well!)

The Big Updates

We are married, we are 110% out of the closet in our day to day lives, and we have a new project: follow us @polycraftory! All of our links can be found at polycraftory.com (including the podcast links). We have started a crafting/cosplay/book blog that follows all of the crafts that we do as a polycule as well as our other interests and projects. The biggest thing we've launched is our Polycraftory Etsy shop where we sell queer and nerdy merch (including polyamory stuff!) We are also debating starting a tiktok so stay tuned.

Now that we are completely out of the closet, we can use our real first names instead of the names we used on the podcast (though, I still also like our cute flower names so feel free to use either for Iris).

Nick opened the door to find the apartment in a much different state than what he had left it in at 11 a.m. that morning. The ceiling had been crisscrossed in dark blue and white streamers, with confetti filled balloons tied to each blade of the ceiling fan. A tacky banner in giant, multicolored letters read “CON-GRAD-ULATIONS!” with a cartoon graduation cap making up the point of the exclamation mark. The coffee table had been cleared of study material and in its place were coned party hats and party horns. Tucked up into the couch, still in his day clothes, was Nick’s live-in boyfriend, Jay Gatsby. 

Jay stirred at the sound of the door opening, his head popping off of the couch’s arm. His hair stuck up on one side, and he scowled at the light he had left on. Eyes still scrunched in sleep, Jay mumbled around a yawn, “Congrads. You grad. You did it. Yay.”

okay but can I just say I still am not over at the way you vividly watch and see new memories (varigo) develop from being judgemental of each other's personal wants to "they deserve so much better than the cards they've dealt with" towards each other over the course of And They Were Roommates and its in full display from their reaction about the decoded notes during True Hearts Day—they were far more focused on what the information could mean for each other rather than themselves.

From the way Varian was so relieved for Hugo instead of worrying about himself and from the way Hugo was so upset for Varian instead of being happy for himself like they've really grown to care for each other to this degree I'm actually sobbing, this is the strongest display of their blooming friendship I ever have the pleasure of witnessing in a vat7k au fic oh my goodness
