These stories of women being jailed for having an abortion are never what people try to make them out to be.

Abortion Drug Testing Is the Latest Weapon in the War Against Reproductive Freedom | The Mary Sue
In Poland, scientists have reportedly created tests that can detect whether people have taken a form of abortion pills. These tests are focused on two specific drugs, mifepristone, and misoprostol, which are both typically used in medicated abortions. The Polish government funded this research as part of its efforts to end legal abortion. According to the New York Times, Polish authorities are already starting to use these kinds of tests to investigate women’s pregnancies and miscarriages.

"A nationwide shortage of the abortion pill is expected next week — just months after previous shortage of the drug forced some patients to get surgical abortions instead.
"When our hands are tied, it's really frustrating to not be able to give the standard of care," said Dr. Emily Stuart, an abortion provider on Vancouver Island.
The abortion pill, known as Mifegymiso, first became available in Canada in 2017 as an alternative to surgical abortions.
It greatly opened up abortion access since the drug can be prescribed by a family doctor and provided by a pharmacy up to 10 weeks into a pregnancy. Mifegymiso is not the same as the so-called Plan B or "morning after" pill, which is an emergency contraception medication taken within 72 hours of sex to prevent pregnancy.
Linepharma, the sole supplier of the abortion pill in Canada, blames delivery delays, manufacturing constraints and shortages of the active ingredients used to make the drug.
It said it expects the shortage to begin Feb. 20 and last for two weeks, until March 6."

“Under Section 58 of the Offence Against the Person Act 1861, which carries a maximum life sentence, it is illegal for a woman to administer “poison” (abortion pills) with the intent to cause her own miscarriage after the 24-week legal limit. Last month, the fifth woman this year appeared in an English court charged under Section 58, compared with only three previous prosecutions in the past 160 years.”

Urged by Cortez Masto, CVS and Walgreens begin dispensing abortion pill in Nevada - The Nevada Independent
Almost a year after major pharmacy chains began waffling at the prospect of filling mifepristone prescriptions, Walgreens and CVS began dispensing the abortion pill in Nevada during the last few weeks.
The decision comes after a concentrated push by Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV), who called on the chains to follow through with Food & Drug Administration (FDA) guidance updates finalized in 2023 allowing mifepristone to be dispensed and sold at pharmacies.
Now the most common means of terminating a pregnancy, mifepristone is the first of a two-pill drug regimen that patients can take within the first 10 weeks of pregnancy. The pro-abortion rights Guttmacher Institute estimates that medication is now used for more than half (54 percent) of all abortions.
Mifepristone is available in Nevada via mail or at clinics, but abortion rights advocates say the pharmacy option will make access as simple as patients visiting their regular doctor’s office (which often are not certified to stock the abortion pill), obtaining a prescription and then picking it up at their local pharmacy.

I read that that one abortion pill is being mailed still. It's the reversible one right? If someone wants a reversal pill, where can she get one fast? Do you have a good resource on that sort of thing I can reblog?
Abortion pill reversal works specifically when the mother has taken mifepristone (the pill whose FDA status is in flux) and not misoprostol (usually the second pill)
If someone has taken mifepristone and decides she wants to save her baby, she can call 1-877-558-0333 or visit AbortionPillRescue.com
She will be connected with a nurse who will ask her some questions to determine if she is a candidate for the reversal, and then will be connected with a nearby doctor/healthcare provider who can give her progesterone and hopefully save her baby.
Misoprostol is the second pill that is typically taken, and it induces contractions to expel the baby. Without taking mifepristone first, the misoprostol is less likely to work as intended (that is, to kill and expel the baby). Because it works differently than mifepristone, the abortion pill reversal may not be as effective for someone who only took misoprostol. However, it would still be worth calling the hotline and asking the nurse, and the nurse may want you to see a local doctor just in case.

Ted Cruz wants to subpoena Epstein’s flight logs. He doesn’t want you to know that he and Clarence Thomas both get round trip flights on Neo-Nazi oligarch Harlan Crow’s private jet. Like the time he summoned them to swear in this judge in Crow’s private library. The library where an autographed copy of Hitler’s book Mein Kampf is kept. The library near the infamous “dictator sculpture garden.”

“Raeden Roe,” 31 (Taiwan 2006)
A report submitted on December 16, 2006 was published in the Annals Of Hematology medical journal. The case study documented the death of a mother in Taiwan who had been given the abortion pill. She will be referred to as “Raeden” here.
Raeden was 31 years old when she was given RU-486 chemical abortion pills. She was 5 weeks pregnant.
Two weeks later, Raeden was dead. She had rapidly developed thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura or TTP. This disorder caused a low platelet count and abnormal blood clotting in her small blood vessels. In Raeden’s case, the damage was so severe that the blood vessels in her brain were damaged, causing intracranial hemorrhage or brain bleed.
Raeden’s death was not an isolated incident. Many others have suffered and died from abnormal bleeding and clotting after the abortion pill. “Olivia Roe” suffered from many dangerous complications which included very similar problems in her small blood vessels. 18-year-old Manon Jones and 16-year-old Rebecca Tell Berg both lost enormous amounts of blood and after days of suffering finally died. Bleeding that would be considered abnormal in almost any other circumstances is a common and expected complication of the abortion pill.
