I guess some of you must have asked for another Aventus. -- New perfumes for December 2023, featuring Peosym, Gucci and Creed.

Perhaps because two Aventuses weren’t enough to make us lose faith in humanity, Creed have just released yet another flanker to their inexplicably popular 2010 release. Top 5 Cologne for College Students

I think as college students, many of my friends and I struggled with knowing how to dress and present ourselves. I think with many things like clothing, accessories and posture, we can see and therefore see if we like it or not before committing to it. I think this is where the struggle of cologne comes in. With fragrance in general, it is hard to know which one to pick. When you walk in a store, you see the fragrance section with about a hundred of them. You decide to smell them but after 4 sniffs, they all start to smell the same. You then ask the clerk for their suggestion which typically they pick the top seller so there is not much to learn from them. You then go online to see the best fragrance but then once you see them, you cannot smell them. At this point what do you do? I think the best thing to do is try to think about what season it is, where do you plan on wearing it and what are you trying to project? I had this dilemma recently so I answered I wanted a summer fragrance that I van wear everywhere and I want to project a confident, light and sophisticated smell. I went online and looked for videos and recommendations, I picked 3 that seem to fit my wants and then I went to smell it. I smelled the 3 that I found and now I picked it. I did this this process with every scenario you can think of and that is how I founded this list

For my first scent I picked for the summer, I wanted something new, fresh, clean and for no one to have it yet. I picked Jimmy Choo Aqua. Now the reason I picked this scent is because it reminds me of a bar soap mixed with the beach. It literally gave me flashbacks of showering at the beach showers. I think this fragrance is a great 2022 release that not many people have at the moment. My second place for summer was Office for Man By Jeremy Fragrance.

The next scent I picked was for the fall/ cool summer nights time. The fragrance I picked was Aqua Di Gio Profumo. I picked this because it has the freshness of Aqua Di Gio but it gets mixed with spices which I think is a great touch for the fall time. My second place would be Bleu DE Chanel.

The third scent will be for cold winters. For the cold days, we would want something sweet to cut through the cold air. It has to be a warm fragrance to heat up the room when its cold. The fragrance I picked for this is Armani Code Absolu. This fragrance has a great scent that I would say is my favorite scent of all time. I am in the process of making my own version of this fragrance for the summer time. The second place goes to SpiceBomb Night Vision.

The fourth fragrance on the list is for spring. This fragrance is something I want to be able to be good for the humid and warm weather. For this, I would pick something lighter with some depth. This would be Mancera Cedrat Boise. This fragrance lasts a long time and helps pushes through the humid air and still manages to give you a crisp smell. I think that a college student would benefit heavily from this smell. The second place would be Versace Eros or Chanel Allure Homme Eau Extreme.

The fifth fragrance is something special that you would only wear to special events. Something that you would only wear once in a while. For this smell, I would suggest something a little more refined and powerful. Something like Bleu De Chanel EDP is a great smell for someone to use for an interview, a career fair, a dinner or a wedding. The second place would be Creeds Aventus.

The Fragrance Foundation Announces Annual Awards Finalists – WWD

The Fragrance Foundation announced the finalists for its 2020 awards via a webinar this afternoon. Eschewing the annual honorees of Hall of Fame, Game Changer and Lifetime Achievement Perfumer, the foundation’s new categories recognize genderless scents and product format innovation, such as Costa Brazil’s Resin de Breu and Miller Harris’ Scherzo Tattoo Pen.

Ariana Grande’s Thank U Next, for example, is nominated for Popular Fragrance of the Year, Women’s and Media Campaign of the Year, Women’s. Gucci has multiple scents up for multiple awards; Chanel’s Gabrielle Chanel Essence is also nominated for several awards.
