Aurora Four is a name known by almost everyone on earth. Not because of their music, gods no. They were better than average singers and below average songwriters. Aurora Four were more known for their secretive performance outfits and the thirty-four counts of armed robbery, three murders and one arson case that broke up the band in 27th of august 2019.
False Gods is a story of Beatrix Jones, Nikita Grant, Stevie Dylan and Louis Knight, more famously known as Roseblood, Dollface, King and Jester, the elusive members of Aurora Four, rock band that intrigued the world by hiding their identities under their masks, shielding their true selves from the audience.
Two years before, Beatrix Jones had ruined the reputation of the Hectics, up and coming rockband she and her friends tried their best to put on the map. All their work went to waste after she got arrested for beating up a paparazzi, and getting away with it with her parents money. Desperate for fame, Stevie Dylan asks help from his father, millionare eager to help his son to reach his dreams.
With the new agency bought by Stevie's father, the group has a new name and a team, who are ready to help their find their new identity. They realize too late that their new team is more shady than they realize and the deal they made was more than some of them bargained for.
Characters under the cut:
Main Characters:
Tumblr media
Beatrix "Baz" Jones aka "Roseblood"
Singer
The mask: mask made out of rosethorns
Beatrix Jones is a rockstar, at least in her head. She is obsessed with fame, and would do everything to get it. Her heroes are the rockstars of the 70s and her own grandfather, famous drummer from the 70s who left his whole family behind, including Beatrix's own father, to chase the fame and rock and roll.
Faceclaim: Hayley Bennett
Relationships:
Stevie - occasional hook up, best friend
Nikita - friendly
Louis - protective sister over him
Fun facts:
~ most clothes are from auctions.
~ she is the only inheritor of her grandfather's money
~ her parents are lawyers, she grew up upper class
~bisexual but keeps finding questionable men to date
Tumblr media
Stefan Harkness aka Stevie Dylan aka "King"
Songwriter, guitarist
Mask: devil horn mask
Stevie hated his dad growing up. Even if he lived in wealth, that wealth came with a price Stevie would have rather avoided. When Beatrix's scandal happened, Stevie's choices became fewer and fewer. He had lived only for music to that point and he didn't want to stop it now, not if the other option was to loose his best friend. Stevie promised hismself that he would keep everyone in his band safe, whatever would come in their way.
Faceclaim: Charlie Rowe
Relationships:
Beatrix Jones - occasional hook up, best friend
Nikita Grant - good friends
Louis Knight - good friends
Elize Grant - has a crush on

Tumblr media
Nikita Grant aka "Dollface"
Bassist
The mask: shattered porcelaine doll face
Nikita always hated the idea of being seen. After escaping a ex boyfriend for a while, she finally got a fresh start with her daughter in her sisters house, who is starting out as an agent. After one thing lead to another, she was stuck in a band with people she mostly tolerated, just in case anything might happen. She kept quiet for so long, all of it leading up to a deal she would have rather avoided.
Faceclaim: Samantha Logan
Relationships:
Elize Grant - sister
Beatrix Jones - resents
Stevie Dylan - secretly hates
Louis Lee - resents
Ivy Grant - daughter
Fun facts:
~ is actually the most talented songwriter in the group but doesn't get to show it often due to group divas
~ realized she was a lesbian when Ivy was 1 year old
~ has the most stable love life out of the four
Tumblr media
Min-Jae Lee aka Louis Knight aka "Jester"
The drummer
The mask: old time jester mask
Louis has had his fair share of failures in his lifetime. After running back to america from South Korea, he has had no luck in the career he wishes to get. Music has always been everything to him, but his good nature has always been a roadblock in a ruthless world of entertaiment industry. He almost felt like all was lost, until he met the group that would soon become Aurora Four. Now, with a group of friends in his side, he could do anything

Journal 46: Session Grim and Eggy Realities
Journal 46: Session Grim and Eggy Realities
Tumblr media
So far I am aware of the following realities. These are also my notions and classifications for them. Please be aware some of these are eggy realties. Eggy realties are ones crafted by people or channeled through a scribe. Such as Harry Potter, flowerfell, doctor who and so on. These realities are just as true as any other, but heavily influenced by people and canon.
“Wraith AU” this is the session grim, of our reality where we are plagued by zombies. Note to the nature of this reality and this kind of work- that I may classify these differently depending on the timeline and the version of reality we find ourselves in for example in an alt I called it something else. This is an offshoot of the Roseblood reality.
Rose Blood: a reality crafted off of this one, and off shoot 2.5 F from what I understand. Everything the same except for our names, our looks, and a few choice words. A few key details of the universe but otherwise identical to here. It was spawned via someone’s autobiography.
“The Dreamers reality 1.0”: This reality is that one, but the dialogue appearances and everything are different. True story or not- which is up for debate, this reality exists and has offshoots which is what I believe hypothetically believe Rose Blood to be.
“Chibei wald”: This reality is identical to dreamers except everyone is a small and cute chibi as seen in the artwork above. Ripped from Sn0wf1ake so don’t repost it. I believe the artist is Irayeleister and owned by Adam Snowflake. Some alternate realities are identical to this one but their in 2d, or they have different genetic makeup and aesthetic. Usually are 3d and just appear 2d but there are exceptions where really are like that and this is one of them. This is one of those realites. It’s identical to this one say for a key events, but the names are different and everyone looks like a chibi. Honestly I wouldn't mind this reality because I’m fuking cute there. Remind me to find and commission this artist.
The Marveled Multiverse: Our multiverse is not alone. Marvel and dc comics frequently explore this in canon. Therefor they have their own parallele time and places and operations for they own set per reality. Every major has a multiverse sprung from it, but this one is just gusty enough to explore in canon thus deserves mention.
That’s it. That’s all for now. This will be important later I assume, but just know- every piece of fanart, every lie you tell, every headcanon, every cosplay, every idea, every dream, every nightmare, every joke, every satire. They all exist elsewhere as true as the sky is blue, or red depending on where you are. Theirs an alternate reality where this book is spanish or hebrew or Japanese.
So know that. I just thought I’d catalog them for now. It will be important later.

(This was initially included in last week’s Tuesday’s Treats because, apparently, I don’t know how to read dates anymore. It must mean I’m just super excited for this book. Ha ha.)
I’ve heard such fantastic things about the first book in this series, Truthwitch; I’m so upset with myself that I was unable to read it last year. But now, since the sequel is being released I hope to catch up with this series. Truthwitch follows the story of Safiya and Iseult - two best friends with a taste for trouble - as they try to avoid capture since Safi is a rare Truthwtich: a witch who can tell truth from lies. But nothing is as easy as it seems…
YA Fantasy; Tor Teen, Hardcover (US)
2. The Alchemists of Loom (Loom Saga: 1): Elise Kova (goodreads) (book depository)
Steampunk is a genre that I haven’t read much, but interests me immensely. So once I heard about this book, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on a copy.
The Alchemists of Loom follows the story of Ari, a rebellious engineer, who actively contributes to the underground organ market in Loom and sells her magical talents to anyone who wants them — as long as the job goes against the Dragon King who took everything from her. When she meets Cvareh, a social outcast hoping to bring his family out of the depths of society, she sees an opportunity to strike at the heart of the Dragon King and finally exact her revenge.
YA Fantasy, Steampunk; Keymaster Press, Hardcover (US)
3. The Bear and the Nightingale: Katherine Arden (goodreads) (book depository)
Unlike many people, Vasilisa doesn’t mind the harsh Russian winters that she and her family have to endure in their house in the Russian wilderness. She loves spending time with her siblings, listening to fairy tales and honoring the spirits of the house. After Vasilisa’s mother dies, her father journeys to Moscow and comes how with a new bride, everything in the house changes and Vasilisa is no longer allowed to honor the household spirits. But, unlike the rest of her family, she knows that their survival depends on these honorings and it is up to her to protect her family from a threat only she imagined was real.
Fantasy, Historical Fiction; Del Rey/Random House, Hardcover (US)
4. RoseBlood: A. G. Howard (goodreads) (book depository)
The Phantom of the Opera is a story that I’ve loved from afar for a very long time (I’ve never read the book nor seen the show, but I know the story in the most general form) so as soon as I heard about this retelling, I was so excited. A story about love and music with a bit of mystery? You can’t ask for more, really.
YA Fantasy, Retelling, Romance; Amulet Books, Hardcover (US)
5. Poison's Kiss (Poison's Kiss: 1): Breeana Shields (goodreads) (book depository)
Marinda's kiss kills. She hates it, but as a visha kanya that was what she was born to do, so she serves the Raja with a simple peck. When she’s ordered to kill Deven, a boy she knows can’t be a danger to the Raja, she begins to question everything about her orders and her life. Based on Indian folklore, Poison’s Kiss sounds like an interesting read that can lead just about anywhere.
YA Fantasy; Random House, Hardcover (US)
6. Frostblood (Frostblood Saga: 1): Elly Blake (goodreads) (book depository)
Ruby is a fireblood and must hide her powers from the frostblood ruling class who are hellbent on destroying all of her kind. When Ruby’s mother is killed for protecting her, Ruby agrees to help a rebel group kill the cruel king. All too quickly, she is captured and forced to participate in the king’s tournaments that pit firebloods and frostbloods against one another. However, despite being a prisoner, this may just be Ruby’s one chance to kill the king, exact her revenge, and change her world as she knows it.
YA Fantasy; Little, Brown/Hachette, Hardcover (US)
7. A List of Cages: Robin Roe (goodreads) (book depository)
Adam thinks he has it made when he lands a spot as an aide to the school psychologist as his elective. Then the doctor asks him to find a student who keeps avoiding her and he discovers that it’s Julian, his foster brother that he hasn’t seen in five years. The more time Adam spends with Julian, the more time he realizes that Julian is dealing with more things than Adam could possibly dream about, and he’s determined to help him in any way that he can.
YA Contemporary Fiction; Disney-Hyperion, Hardcover (US)
8. Dusk or Dark or Dawn or Day: Seanan McGuire (goodreads) (book depository)
So, I read Seanan McGuire for the first time last year (Every Heart a Doorway; review here), and absolutely loved her writing style and the way she tells a story. Even though they’re short, they pack a punch and her newest, Dusk or Dark or Dawn or Day hopefully won’t be any different.
The story follows Jenna, a girl who dies too soon and, therefore, lives the rest of her days as a ghost in New York City. And something is coming for ghosts — something that isn’t death.
Fantasy, Horror; Tor, Hardcover (US)
