“Revolutionary struggle is a constant of ups and downs, of advance and retreat, of attack and repulse. The revolutionary fails only when he surrenders. As long as he continues the struggle…he stretches himself towards the ultimate goal of Victory.” - Kwame Nkrumah
Africans must struggle to unite and save mother Africa. So many of our great leaders remind us that we will not be free unless we free our base, Africa. 🌍
Join an organization, fighting for the liberation of African people. This war is a war to save humanity.

Did you happen to know? Kwame Nkrumah: The Most Talked-About President in West Africa
Tumblr media
Kwame Nkrumah, the first President of Ghana, remains one of the most influential and #KwameNkrumah figures in #AfricanHistory. He led #Ghana to independence from British colonial rule in 1957, making it the first sub-Saharan African country to gain freedom. Nkrumah’s leadership and vision for #AfricanUnity and #PanAfricanism made him a significant force in the liberation movements across the continent.
Through policies of #AfricanSocialism, Nkrumah sought to industrialize and modernize Ghana’s economy. One of his key achievements was the construction of the #AkosomboDam, which provided energy for the nation and was a symbol of Ghana's ambition for economic independence. He also prioritized education, founding institutions like the University of Ghana to advance intellectual growth.
Nkrumah’s influence was not limited to Ghana; his call for #AfricanLiberation and political unity echoed throughout the continent. His vision of a united Africa continues to resonate today, influencing conversations about #AfricanDevelopment and #AfricaRising. Nkrumah’s leadership style, though revered, faced challenges, including opposition and economic difficulties, leading to his overthrow in 1966. However, his legacy as a visionary and advocate for #AfricanDiaspora unity endures.
Today, Nkrumah is remembered as one of the most iconic #WestAfricanLeaders, and his vision of #NkrumahLegacy remains central to discussions about the future of African politics, the fight against #Colonialism, and the dream of a united, prosperous Africa. His ideas continue to inspire modern #AfricanLeaders and #BlackHistory advocates around the world.

New on TikTok: Unity across Continents Marcus Garvey's Vision for African Descendants "Everybody knows that there is absolutely no difference between the native African and the American and West Indian Negroes, in that we are descendants from one common family stock. It is only a matter of accident that we have been divided and kept apart for over three hundred years, but it is felt that when the time has come for us to get back together. Marcus Garvey envisioned a world where the descendants of Africa, scattered across the globe, would reunite in spirit and purpose. He emphasized that despite centuries of separation, we all come from one family stock, and the time for unity has arrived. Garvey's words continue to inspire global solidarity among African descendants, encouraging us to overcome historical divides and embrace our shared heritage. #marcusgarvey #marcusgarveyquotes #africanunity #globalblackcommunity #blackempowerment #africanheritage #diasporaunity #blackhistory #socialjustice #reclaimingheritage

Compensation isnt new ... compensation for the enslaved is... Reposted from @odunifehistory Follow @odunifehistory to support this page. Do you see a pattern here? In 1825, Haiti paid the sum of $21 Billion USD to France in order to maintain its independence and as compensation for the loss of enslaved Africans This was done because the French ruler Charles X had demanded that Haiti pay an "independence debt" of 150m Gold Francs. At the time, the amount was unimaginable for such a young nation and was at least 10 times its annual revenue. In the end, Haiti held to ransom, paid 90million Gold Francs, (about 21 Billion USD) in today's money thus enriching France and impoverishing itself. in 1833, after slavery was abolished in Britain, the British government pledged £20 million taken as a loan to compensate enslavers of enslaved Africans for their “loss” This money went exclusively to the enslavers with nary a thought for the enslaved who received absolutely nothing as compensation for generations and generations of toil, trauma and trouble. This loan took British taxpayers 182 years to pay off and was only completed in 2015! In fact if you are a taxpayer in the UK reading this, there is a great likelihood that your tax funds might have been used to service this "loan” In 1862, America paid compensation to enslavers of up to $300 for the loss of each enslaved Africans. The enslaved Africans received nothing by way of compensation or reparation. In 2020, after years of strict sanctions by the West, Zimbabwe is obliged to pay $3.5 billion as compensation to descendants of white farmers who colonized them and violently stole their lands. To add salt to this wound, Zimbabwe does not currently have the funds and will have to borrow, thereby keeping the country perpetually indebted and economically crippled What a way to hold a nation ransom Do you see a pattern here? What patterns do you see?
