And like there's so many ways you could write it well: is it a class or an after school club? Do you have to audition or just sign up? What section would everybody be In? Do you walk in there and father Marcus is super strict and there's no freetime or anything they just lock in and sing or Do they maybe have time right after the class starts and before it Ends where idk maybe Mischa is messaging Talia and ocean is (in a very pretentious fashion) help anyone who needs it understand the music? Do they go to competitions? Give me details please I'm desperate

Picked White Collar back up after a brief hiatus and have now hit at least four actors from The Americans, including two in back to back episodes. I love when shows shoot in NYC and you can place them in a very specific time just based on the actors that pop up in one-off spots. (See also: several actors from Gossip Girl - so very here for the late aughts/early tens synergy.)

just finished New X-Men (2001). wooh. very good near the end (didn't like the Magneto/Xorn characterization but it was also how he acted in eve of destruction so it's not inconsistent that way), but overall is failed to hold itself up as a run. imo. there were wonderful moments and arcs (murder at the mansion!!!) but overall it's just a jumble of ideas and plot threads and arcs that feel like they should be resolved but never are. it could have been so good nad some of it is so good but as a run it falls flat. it could have been tied together much better, because as is it just feels like they loosely tied some story concepts together. idk. good but not as a run.

On tumblr when you post you’re just playing Russian roulette with your post getting attention, but it’ll probably get ignored.

On Reddit any comment you make outside of some very niche community will immediately have someone downvoting you and calling you like, three different insults. Then they will wonder why you only log in every couple months. Like, it’s a very helpful website when you have a question for another community you’re in, but you’ll also get someone being immediately hostile when you make an innocuous post on a garden subreddit 😑

At least on tumblr people have to actually seek out your random ass text posts and go out of their way to start shit, and you don’t have the up and down vote system that feels like playing with my self confidence and worth issues.

Both websites are toxic part of the time (what social media isn’t?) and both are actually more useful for weird people, but holy shit does Reddit feel more aggressive about shit. Maybe it’s just the devil you know, but at least on this mess of a website half your hate will be for the most random shit and misunderstandings that people have to seek out finding if your blog is a normal size. Reddit is either posting on a dead sub or getting immediately thrown to the, well, sharks and wolves aren’t actually super aggressive towards humans under normal circumstances, so something else that could tear you apart instantly for just existing in the same space as them.

happy new year to you as well, love!! ✨ as for cmi inspiration – honestly, i rely on small things around me a lot, like, yt reels or rl convos and emotions. i rarely use pictures, though. i also do not have a certain oc in mind, like that's very reader-dependent… so there's no hair type/colour, eye and skin colour, body type etc! but hmmm, her aesthetic–

oc wears warm colours a lot, especially in the winter. she's more colourful in the summer and likes going for comfy pastel/floral clothing – like dresses but prefers shorts. as a manager of a fashion brand, she's courageous with her choices, but likes to be casual most of the time. joggers and buns at home, loves cotton and isn't super fond of silk; then, fancy suits and slacks and skirts at work. adores sweaters and denim jackets. also likes rose gold jewellery! and pretty hair clutchers!! natural make up <3 coffee coloured lipstick <3

and her persona – she's rather soft and kind but can be fierce, too, so her voice is gentle but confident? and she smiles a lot. (knows how to write, so good with words and v inspiring, too). i should definitely talk about her style and stuff more, but i think cmi12/13 are gonna give me lots of chances to do so 💕
