The girl is Kyokutei Bakin (actually his daughter-in-law Tokimura Michi possessed by him because it's Fate) who wrote Nansō Satomi Hakkenden aka Eight Dog Warriors and those aren't aware, Moritaka, Tadamoto, and the rest of the Hakkenshi are based upon the characters from that epic novel. I was tagged by @thelionshymnal in this impossible meme but I will face it with bravery and try to pick just 5 of my children, but in no particular order.

#1 -  Picking Up Crumbs [ Din Djarin/Cara Dune, The Mandalorian ]

I have a major weakness for these two idiots being loving and awkward parents who don’t really know what they’re doing but still try their very best, and this is why this fic started out as a oneshot and then kept growing. Baby Koha has a very special place in my heart.

#2 -  Forgive the Adoring Beast [ Din Djarin/Cara Dune, The Mandalorian ]

This one was meant to be a cuddles fic but turned into a thirst fic all by itself. Nevertheless, I loved writing it and put my heart in it and even though it’s not one of my most popular ones, I’m still very proud of it.

#3 -  Give a Man Who Goes to War a Good Reason to Come Home  [ Din Djarin/Cara Dune/Cobb Vanth, The Mandalorian ]

It started out as a joke but quickly ended up taking my heart. Writing the evolving relationship between Cara and Cobb while keeping their love for Din alive and kicking has been a tough journey but I like where this is ending up and I hope the amazing readers who got on board of this beautiful OT3 with me will find it as satisfying. I’ve put a lot of feels in this story, hopefully it’s shining through.

#4 -  Spark of Life [ Din Djarin/Cara Dune, The Mandalorian ]

I’ve mentioned this one in a previous Ask meme and I couldn’t leave it out of this, because I still remember how deep my emotional involvement was as I write this. It’s to this day one of my works I’m proudest of and it will always have a very special place in my heart.

#5 -  A Thin Red Line Between Stubborn Spirits [ Din Djarin/Cara Dune, The Mandalorian ]

This is shamless cheating because this is an entire series, but you know what? My wonderful journey into the world of The Mandalorian, and CaraDin in particular, began with the first story of this series and walked a long path with me in the discovery of this show and its characters. There were like 4 stories for this ship when I posted my first fic about them, now there are 324 and it’s the most popular canon ship of the show. How things change over a year. ❤

Honourable Mention: The Art of Growing Things [ Din Djarin/Cara Dune, The Mandalorian ]

I had so much fun writing this one I just couldn’t leave it out. It’s not heavy on feels or introspection, it’s not deep or particularly romantic, but it was so good to write and people loved it as much as I do, so Tin Jarrin’ aka Cando deserves its own little spot.

Fate/Type Redline first chapter is up on the official site. From what I can tell, there is a reverse on the original twist from Koha-Ace. In the original, Artoria (Saber Servant) was switched with Okita because Akiha bumped into Kohaku which in turned spilled Okita’s sword right into the middle of the summoning circle. Here, Tsukumo was doing the summoning and Kanata crashed into her. In the process, his novel featuring FGO Okita Souji got into the summoning circle, causing both the Servant to be Okita and him to be the Master.

Cu is replaced by a generic Servant. But it’s still a Lancer that got killed first.

It’s not Archer Nobu anymore. It’s Avenger Nobu first form.

The time is Showa 20 aka 1945. Kanata traveled back in time after touching an hourglass in his home.

So far the change is minor but....my Nobutoria....I mean we have two Artoria faces in Lord El-Melloi II case file with one of them being the real Artoria....

River City Girls Zero Pushed from Late 2021 to Early 2022 Launch

  WayForward is porting classic beat 'em up Shin Nekketsu Koha: Kunio-tachi no Banka—originally released for Super Famicom in 1994—as River City Girls Zero, complete with a new opening cinematic, new manga cutscenes, and more. While the game was originally planned for a late 2021 launch, publisher Arc System Works and developer WayForward announced a delay that shuffles it back to early 2022.

  Here's the full message, which cites the desire to "achieve the most accurate port and best experience possible" as the reason for the delay.

Tegelikult pole mul suurt midagi huvitavat teile täna kirjutada. Üks rändom laupäev Balil on jälle möödas. Alustasime hommikul rolleritripiga saare alumisse äärde ehk Green Bowl Beachile, mis asub meist kuskil 20-25 minuti kaugusel.

Tegemist on surfispotiga, kuhu saab vaid väga kitsast ja pikka treppi mööda alla randa laskudes - ca. 75m püstloodis laskumist, juhheii! Tänu keerukale ligipääsule on rand suhteliselt inimtühi, sest teised aasia turistid ja Janno üldjuhul sellist retke ette ei võta, sest pärast peab üles ka tulema.

Leidsime seal all endale oma koopa ning haarasime ligi kohalikult ärinaiselt ühe külma rüüpe ja kookose, sest mingit cateringi rannas ei pakutud. Kuna me tahtsime rannas teha väikesed nasi gorengid, siis hommikusöök jäi kahjuks vahele.

Laotasime linad maha ja sumpasime lainetes, mis olid üle keskmise suured. See rand oli tõesti paradiisi vääriline - kui oled Balil, siis võiksid kindlasti seal ära käia. Mingi hetk hakkas vesi tõusma ja nii me aina koopa sisemusest varju otsisime. Ja siis algas matk aka ristiretk lihtsurelike sekka. Pump töötas täisvõimsusel ja üles jõudes oli tunne nagu oleks võtnud kehast viimast.

Kuna hommikusöök jäi vahele, siis otsustasime tagasiteel minna Evelini lemmarisse Cashew Tree’sse lõunatama. Ning poolel teel olime taas politsei-härrade embuses. Näitasin oma EU juhiluba ja rolleri dokumente ning sain legendaarse nalja ka ära kuulata, kui konstaabli-härra kabinetis koha sisse võtsin: “Aaa, ju are Silver, I am gold, xaxaxaxaxa!”

Hakkas peale vana hea rutiin. Vahet pole kas sul on kõik korras või mitte, almust tuleb maksta ka naeratava näo eest. Näitas mulle paberil mingit numbrit, et ametlik trahv on milku, aga täna on minu lucky day! Teeme pool milkut, maksad kohe, saad minema. Ahh.. ma ütlesin nagu ikka, et tee tavatrahv ära ja maksan kohtus, aga sulli mul pole. Siis ähvardati nagu ikka sellega, et võtame rolleri ära, pead Denpasaris trahvi ära maksma ja siis saad rolleri tagasi. Ühesõnaga selline tavakas bla, bla, bla bullshit jutt. Ütlesin, et tulin rannast ja mul on ainult sott.

Politsei-härra noogutas, ütles et sobib. Kuna mul oli plekk rolleris, siis ütlesin, et pean selle ära tooma. Läksin Evelinilt sotti võtma kui poolel teel tagasi vaatasin, et härral on juba uued kliendid. Ei viitsinud numbrit võtta ja ootama jääda, istusin rolleri selga ja sõitsin lihtsalt minema. Ehk siis neljast korrast kolmel pole ma sulli luftitama pidanud. Esimene kord langesin lihtsalt enda lolluse ohvriks - esimese päeva elukool. Seega tõde: kes lolli mängib, see sulli maksma ei pea. Kavalus maksab ka midagi.. :D

Cashew Tree: toit sama mis eelmine kord - kaks Teriyaki Bowli, külm coca-cola ja mingi kohalik marjamört. Ja siis oli lõunauinaku aeg. Tiksusime villas kuskil kella 18:00’ni ja ei teinud suurt midagi. Paar korda basseinis mõned tiirud ja taas lebosse.

Seejäral timmisime selga maikad ja sõitsime rolluga Single Finsi, kus näeb Bali ühte ilusamait päikeseloojangut. Deep house’i rütmid möngisid, Evelin trimpas mojitot, mina San Miguel Lighti koos laimiga ja taamal päike loojus. Kindlasti mine Single Finsi tund või poolteist varem enne loojangut, siis saab tagumiku alla mingi tooli ka ja ei pea seal sihitult “kes aias, kes aias…” mängima. Rahvast on piisavalt, aga see vaade on kaif ja minekut väärt. Lisaks on all väike surfirand, et kes viitsib laskuda ja treppe võtta, siis on võimalik seal mõnusalt ennast merevees kasta.

Õhtul oli kordus #2 La Baraccas. Nagu Taukar ütleb: ja siis kõik kordub taas. Sama rada, tuttavad tunded.. italjaanodes ei pidanud pettuma. Kõik oli titimiti..

Going off my thoughts on that last post, I think there's a surprising lack of empathy or tolerance in the fandom when it comes to acknowledging that these girls are professionals and have their careers and lives to think about. It's really nice to think that our idols are doing it purely for the satisfaction of it, that they've entered this very intense, misogynistic, and shallow industry because they just want to sing and dance and make people happy. And I'm sure that's the truth of it when they first join. But most H!P members are in junior high when they join, and their futures aren't something they're seriously thinking about. But then they get older, get the chance to explore acting or modeling or solo music, maybe see their non-idol friends at school. A lot of girls graduate at age 17 or 18 (AKA their senior year of high school) to focus on school and university entrance exams, whether they explicitly state that being the reason or not. (My secret theory for Koha's graduation is that she wanted to focus on finishing high school and maybe applying to college, and modeling was much more flexible and part-time than all of the demands of being a member of Morning Musume. Same goes for Riho and really anyone else who graduates at 17/18 and says they want to pursue dancing or modeling or acting or whatever. I think the truth is closer to "I'm a child still in school and my parents agreed to let me do this on the condition that I at least try to pass my university exams and also my friends are doing all this fun stuff and I have to miss out on a lot because I have to rehearse or fly out to Nagasaki for a concert and I kind of want to finish high school as a normal girl before I jump back into the entertainment industry as an adult." But I don't think the wota would be as understanding.) A lot of the girls are faulted for wanting to progress their careers too. Remember when Goto Maki switched to avex? That was seen as an act of betrayal to leave H!P and the Up-Front label. But she had said, later, that she wanted to try to write her own music, and management wouldn't let her. Her image was shifted, suddenly, from the cute girl-next-door Morning Musume ace to "rolling on the floor in basically lingerie, gasping and moaning as backup dancers gyrate behind her". They cast her in a movie where she played a dog-murdering lesbian! We don't know how much control she had in these decisions. They could have been pretty against-her-wishes. Why wouldn't she leave for avex, where she could be treated as a singer rather than an idol, where she could write her own lyrics and create music that was personal to her instead of suiting Tsunku's image of womanhood, where she could collaborate with other musicians and experiment with her own musical style? Why should that be vilified? I will defend these girls for their decisions, because I know the idol industry is not easy, or kind, or forgiving. Regardless if they graduate to stay on with H!P, or leave the entertainment industry completely, or sign with another agency, or decide to do movies instead, they gave up their childhoods to entertain us. That's deserving of respect and sympathy.
