Going back to think about the Devil Survivor series, and I think that one of the things that it does best is the (sometimes not so) subtle way it talks about responsibility.

In DeSu1, the fake ending of escaping the Lockdown before the last day just gets everyone killed by a Smite. And Yuzu's ending explicitly makes the bad things extend outside the Lockdown and get worse. With her extra day giving you the chance to sort of help patch things up, but letting you screw up again.

In DeSu2, following Daichi without direction gives you a hollow version of the Kingmaker ending. The universe is free from Polaris, but now reality is just a handful of islands and an endless sea with nothing in it. With Record Breaker suggesting that the Triangulum would appear to fill in the spot anyway. And since the fate of reality itself is in your hands, you cannot advance to Record Breaker with any other route but the base game perfect ending (sort of, I know it's a separate playthrough). Which is a combination of the Kingmaker ending (the opposite of the hollow world ending), and Daichi's true route of everyone surviving thanks to your effort and having everyone's bonds be strong enough to unite against the administrator.

Additionally, the "prophets" of each game are my favorites. Both Amane and Saiduq's mindset of "I'll play my role be it with or against you" really compliments the game. Especially in how your goals almost never oppose theirs, but they still believe things have to happen in a certain way.

You know, for the P5 and Devil survivors crossover, it could totally work. After record breaker, the team share the administration ability to every human, which is to alter reality. The meta verse is a reality created by the mind and heart of people. It could totally count as the result of sharing the authority.

Yeah! When I first started planning this story, I didn't actually think of an. Explanation for things. But, at one point, I was suddenly hit by "wait IT'S THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE" and wrote a piece on it. You know. Saiduq being a sweetheart and also my quick "explain the stuff that I don't know how to show". If you're interested...

“Well… then I think I know what this is, yes. From time to time, something like this happens. Something comes around, aiming for the Throne, and they create chaos in their fight for it. For long, it was a fight against Polaris, seeking to undermine Her control and assert their own. Now, however… I suppose this is the only possible way to get control of the Throne.”

“What are you talking about?”

“The Administrator’s Throne. I suppose you would call it God’s Throne? Whoever stands in it has control over the very fabrics of this universe and, as such, controls everything here. The world. Every single life in it. Your… our history and fate. Everything at the tip of their fingers. It is… a highly desired position, as you can imagine.”

Oh, wonder why, he thought wryly. He could think of even some humans who would like to become gods. Creatures beyond a human’s power, as Saiduq seemed to be talking about? Yeah, he could see it.

“Yes… however. It is no longer a matter of simply stepping up and taking it. A while ago… Oh, some 10 years, almost… there was an Administrator that… wanted to wipe everything. And it had to be stopped. So, ever since, the power no longer rests in the Throne itself; instead, it is now spread among humans. For it was necessary to give power to every single human to change this method of control, and as such… a human’s desire gained power.”

“The Metaverse.” He realized. “Mementos is the representation of… what? All this power given form?”

“Perhaps. What is more curious, though, is that you speak of Ruin…” Saiduq seemed not to be speaking to him, simply wondering out loud. “If I am right… and I hope I am not… I think someone might be aiming to control this power. If someone manages to convince the Collective to seek a God… if the Collective seeks for someone to control them… guide them, perhaps… then whoever they so desired would have the power to take the Throne and start the reign of the Administrators all over again.”

I made these a while ago and have since started playing Nocturne Re-Master. I’m in the endgame of it, it feels like, so expect a Demi-Fiend Mii and maybe Isamu and Hijiri Miis in the near future
