Only a few more hours! The waiting time is almost over. I’m so excited to watch 10.07 although I have to wait longer until I can finally immerse in Alex’s work.
I get so hyped up reading all the great posts and comments written by Alex’s team, his friends and his ohana on set. The one thing I truly feel with all my heart whenever I read a new comment on Alex’s work is one thing: joy and an odd sort of satisfaction, happpiness and this rich feeling of fulfillment.
Alex is on this show for such a long time, a decade. The showrunners have made it possible to find this important space for Alex’s creativity. The thing that really touches my heart so deeply is his dedication, his drive and this immense power with what he keeps everyone going. Alex’s fire is infectious, his lust to create, to find a way for his ideas and to bring it across is a beauty of its own. And everyone is giving their best to meet Alex’s ideas, to meet his expectation he has had for this piece of stunning work. Everything is soaked with love in some way. Everything about this episode gets to me. I’m super emotional, I’m overwhelmed and I might burst into tears while watching when I finally have the chance to sit down and just watch it.
Tumblr media
I try to put my finger on the spot that lights up my soul whenever I see a new post with new information about this epic episode 10.07. And I’m so damn moved and I try to find an explanation for this. It’s also the fact that Alex understands Steve McGarrett like no one else does. It’s the fact knowing that he wants to follow the open storyline with Steve’s mom. Alex needs closure for Steve, he deals with big emotions...it’s the whole setting he has chosen for this episode that lets the air catch in my lungs. It’s the way Alex wants Steve to have another chance with his mother, of being a SEAL who comes to save his mother, being strong for her. God. It’s the way Alex talks about Steve and what this show means to him, to everyone on set, to all the people being a part on Hawaii Five-0. It’s this ohana spirit Alex lives and breathes and I just can’t. I don’t even find the right words.

Criminal Minds' Paget Brewster Gets a Devil of a Storyline  (Article Below)

This week on CBS' Criminal Minds (Wednesdays at 9 pm/ET), Paget Brewster steps front and center when a rogue priest conjures up demons from Prentiss' past. Brewster gave us a preview of the episode, as well as mooned over upcoming guest star Alex O'Loughlin.
TVGuide.com: I hear we're getting a healthy helping of Prentiss this week.
Paget Brewster: Oh my god, it was exhausting! [Laughs] When you're on an ensemble show and you're messing around with everybody every day and you're not in every scene, and then all of a sudden you're in every scene, it's rough. I would not want to be Hugh Laurie.
TVGuide.com: The episode is titled "Demonology" and it says, "Prentiss has a personal connection to one of the victims in a series of deaths with religious overtones." Man, you can almost hear the thunderclap in the background.
Brewster: Basically we discover that a priest is performing exorcisms outside of the church guidelines. Bruce Davison plays a Catholic priest we go to for advice, and he tells us, "Hey, the church knows it's done, but there are certain guidelines you have to follow," and this "renegade" isn't doing that. The question becomes, "Is this guy actually chasing a demon or is this guy a serial killer?" If we get this guy, are we stopping someone from doing a good thing?
TVGuide.com: Bruce Davison is always a fun guest star.
Brewster: That guy is so much fun. One day he asked me, "Are you Brewster as in William Brewster from the Mayflower?' I said, "Yeah, how would you know that?" It turns out that my [ancestor] nursed his through influenza, at Plymouth! He gave me the book Mayflower, so I'm sending him The Wordy Shipmates by Sarah Vowell.
TVGuide.com: Might "Demonology" change the way we look at Prentiss?
Brewster: Possibly. She has a past and it's a little controversial, as to how she knows this victim, a friend of hers from when she was a teenager in Rome. She asks Hotch, "Can I look into this?" And then she uses her position as a federal agent questionably in seeking out the truth. And there is something that happened to her as a kid that..... Well, it's risky what they wrote. We'll see how people respond.
TVGuide.com: Speaking of Prentiss' past, will we ever learn more about her mother, the ambassador?
Brewster: What's kind of exciting is that at any time, the writers can create more history. But there's nothing else this season involving my mom, who is, of course, Kate Jackson.
TVGuide.com: There was an episode last season where Prentiss offered to become the guardian to a young victim. Do you think we'll revisit her desire to have children?
Brewster: I do, yeah. A lot of the female agents who we have spoken to, they work all the time, and they have a hard time just dating. It's an interesting conundrum. Do they choose this life where they're constantly working and dealing with the darkest side of humanity? All we've ever heard about Prentiss' dating life is, "It's grim out there." [Laughs] But that's what we hear from the female agents we talk to.
TVGuide.com: Of course, a band of fans want her to hook up with Hotch.
Brewster: I know! I didn't realize that fans make these videos on YouTube? A.J. Cook sent me a hilarious one that made it look like Prentiss and J.J. were having a secret lesbian affair. You know, when Hotch was blown up in the SUV, we shot this scene where he's in the hospital and I'm standing next to him, looking at his bleeding ear. Our director came in and said, "Paget, you're looking at Hotch like you're in love with him. It looks really weird." So now, every day, Thomas [Gibson] and I flutter our eyelids at each other.
TVGuide.com: Tell me about some of the guest stars still to come this season.
Brewster: Well, in this episode, I got the best of the best. In addition to Bruce, James Remar (Sex in the City) plays the father of the victim, and Walton Goggins (The Shield) is playing my childhood friend....
TVGuide.com: Have you shot the episode with Alex O'Loughlin (Moonlight) yet?
Brewster: Oh, Alex.... Alex sets all the girls into a twitter. Various departments were vying for Alex's attention. We just finished that this past Saturday morning, at 5:30 am.
TVGuide.com: Did Prentiss get a "moment" with Alex?
Brewster: No, No.... Prentiss had no moments with Alex! [Laughs] He's a cutie-pie! There's a little kid, Jake Cherry (Desperate Housewives), in that episode, and he's amazing too. All our guest stars are extraordinary, which we need to remember. We're there every day, and we have long-standing jokes with the crew, so we need to remember there is someone standing next to us, acting [as if] they're about to die or their child has been murdered. They're working up all this emotion, and we're hiding fart machines from each other. We're the most childish set, and we love it!
TVGuide.com: Are there plans for another explosive season finale?
Brewster: I haven't heard anything yet. We're doing 26 episodes, and most shows do 22, so we should have finished two episodes ago. It's a grind.
TVGuide.com: You need to stop being so damn good!
Brewster: [Laughs] We're just trying to make it to the finish line. I'm sure [the finale] will be shocking, but I don't know if they can blow us up again. They only did that last year so none of could ask for a raise!

The ending is near of hawaii five-0.
I still can't believe it, i know that it is just a tv show but it was so much more for me personaly.
I have been through a lot in 2019 and then i found a show what was a pure tv show with a amazing cast and crew.
The ohana vibe that they all have is just amazing.
I was stuck in my bed because i couldn't walk after my surgery. I just put on hawaii five-0 and i could smile again. It was a moment of joy, sunshine, action, dreams, friendships and family.
I entered a fandom i didn't know exist.
I can walk now and have no more pain and of course h50 didn't cure me but helped me not to get depressed.
And because of h50 i learned that there was an actor named Alex O'loughlin and i was hooked.
I watched everything he made and i think he is just an amazing actor, director, writer, producer and for what i see in de media he is an amazing friend, father and husband.
I am very curious of what the last episode will bring us i hope a good goodbye for my favorite cast.
I am sad that it is ending but i think its for the best for the cast and crew because 10 years is a long time to give everything you have.
I hope that we see them all again in a different show or movie especially Alex❤
I hope that you all keep following me because i am not done with my fandom😍😏😉

In Season 8 of H50, Alex took the helm in episode 8.18. Aside from other plots, it was the conclusion to episode 8.10 and the answer to the question WHO shot Danny?

Alex O'Loughlin, Keanu, Osric : watch a soap opera with, go to a play with, watch your favourite movie with
Watch a soap opera with: ok. So. I hate soap operas? So I think I'd have to watch one with Osric cos I feel like he'd make it fun to watch. Maybe we could watch Jensen's episodes of 'Days of Our Lives' and giggles about it
Go to a play with: Keanu. That man is classy AF and you know he'd have excellent taste in plays, so I'd probably even let him choose.
Watch your favorite movie with: Alex. Couch snuggles during Baby Driver sounds fun and he's a director as well as an actor so he would probably appreciate all the random facts I could tell him

Just watched “E ho’oko kuleana (To Do One’s Duty)” - directed by Alex O’Loughlin
I really want (need) to share my impressions and oh boy, some scenes moved me so deeply, the Danny centered scenes made me rethink a lot about this great hero. I was even nervous when I started watching. I enjoyed every minute and it was so freaking special also because every moment from this episode was carefully observed and chosen by Alex. It was like getting to know him on a personal level, feeling his passion and dedication in every scene. Oh, Jesus Christ, I’m freaked out a little bit...
Tumblr media
My absolute favorite scene from 8.18 was the moment where Brooke met with Danny to scatter the ashes from her abusive husband. The intensity of Danny telling her that this here is all about herself and not her husband, was powerful. (So don’t flush him down the toilet at the airport.) Danny is always the rock for everyone. He’s always there when needed, holding on, supporting, never asking anything in return.
And then Brooke stands up, handing Danny the urn to hold while she steps forward, the bag with the ashes in her hand, carefully observed and protected by Danny...and doing this:
Tumblr media
The moment where the slowmotion kicked in and soft music in the background stilled all other noise was the moment I held my breath. This was such a stunning, great move from Alex - this very moment. The way he filmed the scene, the ashes in the wind against the sky...holy shit, so fantastic! There, right in this moment, you feel Alex’s deep care for those women. His strong determination to send a message!
This scene is powerful, it helds promises of a better, cruelty free future and it talks about hope and freedom. Damn, I was so moved! I can’t even start to talk about all the layers that are hidden underneath this scene. Alex let Brooke heal right in this moment. Her nightmare ended right there, all her pain, her emotional torture faded away when she freed herself, with letting go - this scene is like a call to all women, to be strong, to hold on, to believe in a future without fear, without pain. Stunning work.
And then there is Danny:
Tumblr media
I won’t go into details because I would end writing an epic long thread of my thoughts. All I want to say is, I’m so deeply in love with this guy who puts himself always second. Everyone else is more important and Danny gives his whole heart, diving headlong into a story, losing the fight against love and falls for Brooke, a victim of domestic abuse. Safes her, lookes out for her, makes sure her sick, mean husband gets booked and arrested. He just stands there and sucks up all nasty punches, gets his nose broken for the woman he loves, for the right cause, for the greater good.
And do you know what makes me cry at the end, hunch over with heartache for Danny? Danny has a heart made of gold, he is tough, he is strong, he’s the most supportive, reliable guy you could wish for - but (and that breaks my heart...) He always loses. As much as he helps and falls in love, he always loses. He always has to say goodbye. Everyone moves on, all his women move on, leaving him behind, but he is still ALWAYS THERE FOR THEM, FOR EACH AND EVERYONE. He has still feelings for Brooke, maybe even still loves her, wanted a future with her, but he let her go. He buries his pain deep inside his heart, covered in scares and moves on - being a good friend, never asking for more.
And this characterization of Danny is (maybe) Alex biggest declaration of love to “Danny” as Alex. It’s a hidden way of how much he appreciates, of how much he loves this guy. This soft, tender, strong, tough police man, who never backs down to fight for the right cause, who you can trust with your life. Steve McGarrett knows what kind of a man Danny is, but with the way Danny’s background story was told, there is way more to it than what meets the eye. I wan to believe (yes, my fangirl’s heart stands in the way, but who cares, right?) that this is a hidden way for Alex/Steve to talk about why he loves Danny so much.
I’m just...you know...I...uh-am...yeah, that’s all I wanted to write for now. I need to ponder over Danny. So much is there, that my heart grasps but not yet my mind.
(Sorry for all missed typos.)

I don't know about you, but I always love when people have to say all these wonderful things about Scott, whether is about him as an actor or just as a person. It always fascinates me the effect he has on people and to hear Alex talk about him like this, it warms my heart. So, I made an edit of this particular moment where Alex talks about how he saw himself as a director when he had to approach Scott for the episode. And I'm sure Scott was helpful since he has experience in directing and is absolutely great at it.
...

So this is the scene I watched Alex and Ian film when I visited the set back in January. I was sitting right outside that door and looking at the monitors with headphones to listen to the dialogues. What an honor to be able to watch these two professionals work, and how awesome both of them were on and off camera. It was great to see the actual scene in the episode. Lot of great memories to associate with it. Kudos to Alex for acting and directing and giving it 100% while also being a great human being to his fellow cast members, the crew and well... us fans.
