i f. i fucking forgot a pencil so i cant scribble out this Thought i had while on a lil road trip today - basically i was thinkin about Wally, as ya do, and i asked myself why does Wally eat with his eyes? its such a Fascinating yet somewhat Out Of Place choice for him. how did Clown come up with that? its so unique. it stands tf out.

and then i remembered Frank & Poppy's convo for their 'bug' audio, and how he says "you eat with your eyes first" and like... thats a real phrase. ive heard it in my life. & it set off lil alarm bells in my head the first time i listened to the clip, i just hadnt connected the dots yet. so its feasible that thats why Wally eats the way that he does - and an in-universe explanation could be that Wally heard the phrase before he could learn how to eat 'properly', and took it literally

Shifted the kennels as far left as possible to free up the cubby + hook on shams side

Yoshis side holds her working gear and an emergency leash for finding strays. Shams side holds whatever is needed for the day and a little package of jumper cables. I will probably start using the hooks for the needed day stuff but I’ll see which is easiest to use// might need to make a deeper hook that latches on that hook so it’s easier to grab n go and more secure. Then treat pouch is just clipped to a random tie down strap so they don’t go flying everywhere

There’s also hooks on each kennel from the tie down straps that I could probably hook leashes on to instead…. We’ll see

Also very thankful for the experience driving an SUV with the rental when the truck got hit bc I learned I need to put that towel down over the bumper otherwise dogs will lose their footing and end up scratching the paint. Bc sham literally failed to jump properly today and his foot would have landed straight on the fresh new pretty paint and definitely scratched it up if I hadn’t already been prepared with the towel there. You can see the wet paw print mark on the towel on the lowest edge of the yellow.

Also had Yoshi find the car again today in a slightly different parking spot between two cars and she got confused bc I was parked next to a white suv. She targeted the white one first, I asked her where the car was, she took a second to sniff then walked around the white suv and targeted my drivers door correctly. It’s not gonna take long for her to adjust

#I have fiddled with many functions today #I can open the windows from the remote!#let that shit air out without having to get in a die first #also apparently don’t have to unlock the car at all if I’m close enough with the key #just open the door or trunk and it’ll do it #and turned on the auto lock when I walk away setting #bc this car doesn’t make a loud honk when you lock it just a soft beep #so I don’t always hear it when I lock it #so at least I know it’ll lock anyways

seeing as the movie theatre is a location you can take townies to, i'm wondering if you guys had given any thought to dialogue for that ! like what kind of snacks would they like or what movie would they most / least enjoy

Movie theatre tastes were actually one of the first things Kade tried to figure out! But... We quickly got derailed since we weren't quite sure about what would make sense for them at the beginning of the project (they don't have canon food tastes to reference after all...). We're more confident with characterization now and will probably revisit/change things later, but this is what Kade had so far.

#toy txt post #while i was away i began my journey into coffee snobbery. im doing my best. i have a lot to learn #i have a fancy hand grinder that all the ppl on reddit hemmedvand hawed andaid it would probably be somewhat #Acceptable for pour over coffee that I got for less than $100. i want you to understand the coffee grinder ppl are insane.#there are grinders for sale that cost like more than my car did brand new. these ppl are insane? i got a chemex pour over #and a glass stovetop gooseneck kettle cos i couldnt find an electric kettle that didnt have the metal touching the water. prolly cos it #would make them less energy efficient and defeat the purpose but i dont fuck w metal water vessels cos historically They Keep Betraying Me #by making my drinks taste like ass. i got some genetic fuckery going on ig. like the cilantro soap gene but its the metal makes water taste #like ass gene? idk. but i wanted a kettle that didnt have metal and i wanted that gooseneck pour so i found one on Amazon. surprisingly #hard to find? annoying. mostly bc every search engine is bad and kept showing me metal kettles anyway. i got a grinder i got a pour over i #got a kettle i got fancy beans from a local small business i started drinking it black. im going to unlock these flavors. i will get it #but also. im still a goblin. i put garlic powder in with the grounds and made garlic coffee. its interesting. it tastes like garlic. and #coffee. but actually the garlic is mostly an aftertaste?#so it feels very similar to drinking a cup of black coffee to accompany your garlic bread actually. the first time i made it i think it #underextracted the coffee tho. second time i extracted the coffee enough but i didnt like it as much? both times. fascinatingly #i did not get strong aromas! which was weird: i find both garlic and coffee have pretty strong scents already #i wouldve thought combining them would make it stronger? it was a little stronger while brewing the second time but smelled good to me #i find the flavor of it compelling enough that id like to try to refine it a bit more and see if i can make it good #ive come a long way since my first garlic coffee haha #(adding garlic salt to black coffee out of a keurig. dont reccomend this: garlic salt has too much salt and it overpowers everything.#could not get a garlic flavor without overpowering salt flavors. so it mostly tasted like seawater with a hint of coffee. garlic powder is #the way to go. anyway next i want to try it with a lighter roast. i was using medium roast #of a local brand that i would name for exposure but wont name lest it doxxes me haha #also want to try egg coffee sometimes? the vietnamese one. looks..intriguing. robusta beans scare me a little tho #anyway. if youre interested in interesting flavors i recc garlic coffee. it was intriguing. if i find a methodology i think tastes best #ill update yall #im also interested in other things. i want to experiment with spicy coffee. chili powder or cayenne #make the paprika dracula coffee haha #im also admittedly intrigued by butter coffee? as a flavor profile tho not for fad diet reasons.

When will it be appropriate to suggest we have to pick a new litmus test for basic human decency because I don’t know if putting away the grocery cart you’re done with it should be it anymore..

IM JUST ASKING ONLY ASKING

Because the new grocery carts have an anti-theft feature on them to try to make it harder to steal them and at a seemingly arbitrary point in the parking lot the wheels literally lock… is it just because I live in Seattle now and the housing crisis is just that out of control here compared to other cities?

I want to know because christ alive grocery stores are starting to make it hard as fuck to keep up the universal I’m Not An Asshole baseline behavior.

Also what’s the intention? For stores that have these, are we literally supposed to just leave the cart next to the car, taking up a whole parking space after you drive off, until some underpaid 16 year old in a hi-vis vest in the rain has time to come by with a key to unlock the wheels?? Is that the new normal?

Because if it is god damn we need a new litmus test for “are you the kind of person who does the right thing even if nobody is watching, even if inconvenient, even for no recognition or reward, and also in the absence of any negative consequence” because it was so USEFUL for that and putting the cart away is dead and dying. Ol girl is bleeding out in the Kroger parking lot. Literally.

A ywy is this just something I’m confronting constantly because I live in a city with a wildly disproportionate unhoused population?

Not me realizing that a man breaking into my house is the source of all my stalker dreams and all my breaking and entering dreams and all my late night paralyzing anxieties about someone being in my house uninvited. Duh.

#for years and years i thought i just inherited anxiety from my mom #i thought that too many shane dawson videos and true crime docs gave me this unshakable fear #and then one day this memory surfaced like a hippo coming up for air #and now it all makes sense. a man i knew was dangerous broke into my house.#broke down my door. i heard the door and the inner frame crash to the floor #for years afterwards the door did not shut right. if it was unlocked it would swing open in the wind #even as i dealt with this every day. even as i knew that my door had been broken through before #i did not truly understand the weight of that memory until very recently.#i could not have told you about the intruder taking my moms purse and car keys #could not have told you where he put them #could not have told you about the neighbor man who came to our door. who offered to fix it up for free #who offered to buy my mothers broken gun off her hands. who waited with us while the cops went on a manhunt #who was found out to be harboring our intruder in his house the whole time he was talking to us. he had invited him in #thats how this neighbor man knew where to find us and what had happened #i could not have told you any of these things that i remember so clearly. i remember it happened on a tuesday #this was all lost to me for so many years. buried in the mud at the bottom of my mind #and now here it is. clear as day.

last night several times before and up to 3am my car found it's voice and was yelling CAR ALARM CAR ALARM CAR ALARM CAR ALARM CAR ALARM before stopping for a bit and we can only assume it was saying 'bugs in here!!! D:' because there was nothing happening externally. sometimes a car is a type of animal

#i'm tired as hell today like even more than usual because although it spontaneously stopped several times after a few i did have to #drag myself upright nauseous and dizzy from a rude awakening and first establish that it was my car yelling and then see if i could.#do anything about it. in the end i unlocked it and left it that way and that seemed to solve the problem and it was locked in the morning #my dad hoovered the whole interior for me today (thank u dad <3) and found NOTHING which is as expected. perhaps it was bug ghosts.#oh yeah anyway i couldn't get back to sleep for so long after getting up in the middle of the night was the point :P TIRED!#sorry all my neighbours hopefully this will not happen again we have changed some settings
