Scripting struggles

I'm changing my magical girl outfit and I have 5 I like and I cant pick one... they don't even match the magic I gave myself anyways idk why I'm like this...

Anyways I'm just taking them all 🤷🏾‍♀️ when I wear them in my DR I'll decide which ones I want to keep.

On that note I need to pick a wand/weapon too. The struggle starts again.

Dr Name: Hogwarts, 1991.

Universe/Basis: Harry Potter

Synopsis: Non-Canonical HP dr where I get to experience the magical world completely and fully with my favorite characters. There’s no war, no plot, and things have been changed to make it more desirable for me. IE: No Death Eaters/Voldemort, no one dies, etc. It’s basically just a boarding school dr with magic lol. It was my main dr for a long time and has a LOT of little things scripted in. Honestly, I’m still so in love with it and if I ever did permashift, it would probably be here.

Dr Name: Chosen One

Universe/Basis: Harry Potter

Synopsis: Canon-Adjacent dr where basically I’m Harry. Obviously he doesn’t exist in this dr because I’m obsessed with being the main character (/hj). Things have been scripted to not be so traumatizing and awful all the time, but will loosely follow a sort of plot to let me be the chosen one in a prophecy and basically the center of attention. There’s stakes and I don’t expect to shift here for long intervals because it seems stressful, but I’m shifting to third year with a pre-written backstory for the first two years. Again, not fully canon- certain characters don’t die and the war isn’t killing innocents etc. I just like attention.

Universe/Basis: ABC’s Lost TV Series (2004)

Synopsis: Canon-Adjacent to the Lost TV series, without the um…trauma. Also people don’t die. It’s basically Survivor meets Real Housewives. I live for the drama tbh. Basically the plane crash leaves me stranded with strangers and I get to meet the characters. I don’t have a s/o but I’m looking to be an adoptive daughter figure to Sawyer because emotionally unavailable selfish assholes seem to be my father-figure go to for some reason.

Universe/Basis: CW’s The 100

Synopsis: Heavily scripted but honestly it’s almost-canon to the events of seasons 1 and 2 of the 100, obviously not so traumatizing though. I’m basically using this as a teenage-run society dr or maybe like a huge camping trip dr lmao. None of the 100 die like in canon, and also because I have main character syndrome Clarke and therefore also Wells aren’t part of the original delinquent mission. My s/o is gonna be Bellamy Blake, and I have a few close friends in the 100/eventually the grounders. There’s a lot of drama lmao. Also, my dad is Markus Kane and my (adoptive) brother is Murphy and my whole backstory is so convoluted it needed rewritten multiple times to even be coherent lmao.

Universe/Basis: Better CR

Synopsis: Modern-set dr where I’m a famous actress/musician in my early twenties. I own a makeup/skincare company, as well as a non-profit community oriented foundation to teach kids the arts (acting, music, performance, dance, drawing, painting, etc.) but also hosting events and drives to give back to local communities. As for my professional career, I’m a part of some of my favorite movies/shows in my cr, as well as some movie ideas I had myself and made into a franchise in my DR. I’m basically the biggest IT girl and I’m like if Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, and Margot Robbie were a single person. Some of my films/shows, to name a few, are The VVitch, A Star Is Born, The Summer I Turned Pretty, and Barbie.

Synopsis: An early 2010s dr, I’m a young teen actress and get to star in some of my favorite shows and movies from that time period, as well as some adaptations I thought up myself. My dad is Matthew Grey Gubler because he seems like he’d be such a cool dad, so I’m technically a Nepo baby. I play Dustin’s twin sister in Stranger Things, I play Annabeth Chase in an adaptation of PJO, I play Prim in The Hunger Games, I’m Coraline in a live action adapatation, and a few other roles that I have planned.

Universe/Basis: MCU - Young Avengers

Synopsis: I’m Tony Stark’s daughter, all the OGs don’t die, and I’m in charge of the Young Avengers. I’ve adapted some comic book characters into new heroes, as well as adding known characters like Spider-man, America Chavez, Yelena (younger in my dr), Kate Bishop, etc. It’s basically like fanfic Avengers lmao. We all live in the compound in upstate New York, and sometimes other “characters” pop in to give us training lessons and stuff such as Stephen Strange or Wong, T’Challa, Bucky, Loki, etc. It seems so fun to just have a compound full of super powered/super-capable teenagers tbh. A nightmare for my dad tho.

Universe/Basis: MCU

Synopsis: A more canon-reliant take on an MCU dr, where I join the original Avengers back in 2011. I’m basically a greek demigoddess capable of minor feats of magic, but through being a hero I’m eventually granted full godhood (like Hercules/Heracles in the myths) for my efforts. Fighting villains and hearing the hero drama seems so interesting. Honestly, I’ll probably be less involved in this dr than my Assemble dr, but this one’s still cool if only for my backstory here alone lol.

Universe/Basis: The Hunger Games

Synopsis: Basically not canon at all lmao. I don’t want to kill anyone, that’s insane. Basically, the districts still exist (though people aren’t starving or anything) and “The Games” are basically just a big game show held in the Capitol and the winner gets money, fame, etc. This dr is loosely based off of the prequel, the ballad of songbirds and snakes, so there’s *technically* Coriolanus Snow as my love interest/mentor, but his character is so different that it’s basically not even him- I just find Tom Blythe attractive is all. Also Sejanus Plinth is my bbygirl he deserved so much better.

Universe/Basis: PJO

Synopsis: Non-Canon pjo dr. I’m a child of Zeus (I need to be the main character so bad ig. Also, I need to have an absent/terrible biological father apparently?? minus tony tho 🫶) and I’m the only one in the Zeus Cabin. There’s no quests and we’re genuinely just trained over the summer and allowed to either stay or go to school for the rest of the year. It’s basically a summer camp dr but with a little magic and stuff here and there. Percy, Grover, Annabeth, etc. are all my age and eventually Percy will be my s/o because clueless boys of unimaginable power are just so babygirl to me i guess.

Synopsis: Mostly canon, with a few more added families and such. My own background is also a royalty dr- I’m the princess of Norway undercover as the distant relative of Lady Danbury, and I’ve got a few completely made-up love interests because no one in the show is really in my age range??? I mean some are close, like Colin, but he’s in love with Penelope so idk. I just want fancy dresses and huge parties and high society drama tbh.

Synopsis: HEAVILY SCRIPTED!!! I don’t want my people to die obviously. Zombies/walkers can’t actually hurt us and everyone smells good oof. No cannibals bc ew, it’s basically a found family dr with zombies. I/we won’t have to kill people!!! Both Daryl and Rick are sort of father figures to me, and my love interests include a few people such as Carl, Enid, Ron, and Kelly (I love Kelly sm) and the later seasons are changed to be better to live in and everything’s not constantly falling apart. Also, basically scripting out all of the Negan drama and most stuff after it, because absolutely not.

Universe/Basis: AMC’s Breaking Bad TV series

Synopsis: LISTEN!!! I just think it would be fun to fuck around in this dr tbh. I’m a high-end dealer (drugs don’t kill people and don’t have a bad effect on people either) and I just want to go to lavish parties and commit high end crimes. I think Walter White is funny as hell unintentionally and Jesse Pinkman seems like the coolest person to just hang out with (at least in the first few seasons of the show.) Obviously, it’s not even remotely canon and doesn’t follow the actual plot. I also won’t spent too much time here. Like I said, it’s just to mess around in. It’s absolutely not serious nor is it a place i’d want to be for long.

Synopsis: Golden Age Narnia? Ruling a magical country, marrying my best friend (Peter), leading people, being highly respected by my court? The whole thing sounds like a fairytale. It’s basically a royalty dr but with magic. Medieval times but, as with all my non-modern drs, I script modern amenities because if I don’t have toilet paper and indoor plumbing I’m gonna scream and cry. I also love the canon Pevensie siblings and their personalities I want to meet them all so bad. Also, Peter Pevensie was my first crush ever, as an fyi.

Synopsis: Teenage dr, not canon reliant but with weird occurrences and mysteries going on all around. The twins and their friends are older but most of the other characters stay the same age. Instead of having a complicated backstory I straight up just tell Stan I shifted and he’s unbothered because he literally watched his brother get sucked into a portal and fist-fought a pterodactyl so not much can phase him anymore ig.

Synopsis: Um this one’s completely made up by me, hi. Basically me and some of my dr friends are working on a private yacht for the summer. We only work like four hours a day, get paid WAY too much tbh, and then spend the weekends/after work hours getting to live on this huge ass rich people yacht that we’re allowed to go crazy on. It’s sailing the mediterranean so it doubles as a travel dr, where I get to see places like Greece, Rome, Venice, etc. when we dock and go inland. I’m so unbelievably stoked about this one tbh.

Synopsis: This one’s kinda embarrassing ngl 💀 so basically, the Youtube channel Smosh is this whole big brand that’s like an office completely oriented on making fun videos, sketch comedy, playing board games, etc. and it looks SO fun to work there. Some of the people in videos/crew behind the scenes seem like genuinely nice people so basically it’s a better cr dr where I just work there too, and I’m a little older lol. Like obviously it’s a job like anywhere else, but a lot of the time their job is fart jokes and playing games.

Synopsis: If I thought the last one was embarrassing, this takes the cake lmao. So, Smosh runs a dnd campaign where four of them play characters and then the dm plays a bunch of npcs. I’ve scripted myself as a fantasy character to explore the dr world based off of the dnd campaign’s world. Interacting with real people who are the characters my friends play in a different dr lmao. But an ancient giant wooden robot, a blue goblin, a gay elf, and a horny older halfling lady are MY comfort characters, okay! It’s a dnd dr, based off of the Sword AF campaign.

Universe/Basis: Nickelodeon’s Avatar Cartoon

Synopsis: guys i LOVE avatar omg. uncle iroh singing little soldier boy can make me cry on command to this day. In this dr, I’m a fire bender runaway living in Omashu. I also scripted different fire nation “countries,” like how the earth kingdom has sort of different governments set-up throughout or how the water tribes have the two separate tribes on either pole. I’m from an island tribe and because I like attention, I’m a princess in that kingdom. This dr is mostly canon??? It was a cartoon so not too much traumatizing stuff happened anyways, but there are certainly some…questionable moments.

Talking about shifting!!

~What is shifting?~ Shifting is when you shift your subconscious to another reality!! When you shift you are only moving your subconscious and NOT your physic body! You shift every day and you don't even know it!! their are affiant realities and every time you black you open a new one where you blinked a second later or earlier, every thing you do opens another reality!! ~How do I shift?~ You don't need a script, A method, Or even a subliminal! all you need is yourself, you need to believe you can shift and that shifting is real and LOCK.IT.DOWN in your head. A script is to help you truly know what you want and to help you focus and know where you are going, you put basic info like what your name will be in this reality and how old you will be and who will be there and basically everything you desire in that reality. Methods are to help you calm your body down help you visualize and get into a calm state and shifting affirmations are to help gas light or make yourself believe you are already in your Dr (desired reality). "Shifting Symptoms" are just your body falling asleep your body does this every time you are about to go to sleep we just never notice due to us being so tired so don't freak out because it does not mean you are shifting or you have shifted. ~Is this going to summon a demon?~ Shifting is not against or apart of any religion and does not have anything to do with demons or god or any of that stuff and is not a sin. ~where can I shift?~

you can shift any where's you truly want like Twd, Hogwarts, AOT, One piece or even just another version of your CR (Current reality) but better! You can change how you look, sound, and act! ~Is shifting lucid dreaming?~ Shifting is real and everything around you is real like another life, Lucid dreaming a dream you can control. ~can I only shift when asleep?~ No you can shift wile wide awake but most people prefer shifting while in the hypnagogic state (Being half awake and half asleep) or while asleep but you can shift anytime of day or night . ~What does shifting feel like?~ Shifting feels like NOTHING it's like a snap and you are there, people say it feels like you are falling or floating but those are just symptoms and their body falling a sleep, shifting is like if you were starring your tv screen that is fully black and then you blink and now the screen is yellow, you don't feel anything! ~Can I get stuck in my Dr?~ It's not possible to get stuck in your Dr and people make safe words to get back but they are not needed Safe words are just to help you focus your intention to go back to your OR (original reality) but if you really want to go back you can for example some people shift to their DR and start thinking about their OR and shift back on accident . ~I'm having trouble believing shifting~ That is so normal because it seems wayyyy to good to be true so try shifting to a Dr exactly like your OR but change one thing like maybe your wall color or add something like a Lava lamp, change on thing just to prove shifting to yourself and this also helps with getting over the fear of shifting <3 ~Can I die in my Dr?~ Yes but if you die in your DR you'll just come back to your OR it's like dying in a game and clicking the rest button but you can script you (and your love ones) Can't die!! ~~~ Nothing is stopping you from shifting but yourself nothing can shift you but yourself not the method or affirmations or the subliminal your playing! Storytelling, Fate & Happy Endings

I’m still processing last nights episode (CR C2 Ep140), and much like every critter I’m SUPER emotional about it. But something about last night’s events and how they played out really got to me, not just as a fan but also as a storyteller. And even the day after, i was actually crying (still am crying in fact) more than i did last night watching it happen. At first i thought it was because i’m a fairly new critter and this is my first time watching a campaign come to an end. But the more i think about it and process, the more i realize that’s not just it. This effected me as someone who deeply believes in the power of storytelling and how it can not only effect but reflect the world around us. And because I have to get them out of my head, here are my thoughts on why last nights episode was so important, not just for CR fans but also as a an important narrative for right now.

...Yeah that’s a bit vague, isn’t it? Okay, let me explain. If you’re willing to take the time to read fellow Critters, I greatly appreciate it in advance. ^__^

WARNING: Major spoilers for CR Campaign 2 Episode 140 ahead. Also it’s gonna get kind of meta. And long. Because i have a lot of thoughts & feels.

So I think it’s fair to say that, as much as we would’ve been devastated by any of the M9 perma-dying in the last battle, part of us wasn’t expecting them all to make it out of there alive. Not even the players, I think, despite how much they likely didn’t want that to happen. Just look at the half-resigned way Liam talks about Caleb in the last few Talks Machina episodes. Or how, in game, Jester was fully prepare to die trying to stop the city from coming back. And for a while there, it seemed like some of them might not survive.

But then they did. Despite so many crappy rolls throughout the night they stopped Lucien, set free all the souls trapped in Aeor, saved Exandria, and brought each other back from the dead. Not only that, but they also did the impossible: They saved Mollymauk. Their lost friend who had such a deep impact on all of them even after his death. The delightfully charming asshole who was so full of joy and life and who, despite how the world treated him, was happily determined to leave every place better than he found it. Moreover, they almost didn’t succeed! But then they did, all because of teamwork, love and one last minute ditch effort ‘what-the-hell-have-i-got-to-lose’ dice role that none of them saw coming. And now they get to go home together, truly as The Mighty NINE.

Just this once, everybody lived! We got a happy ending!

And that’s HUGE in game...but also think for a second how that reflects outside of game too. Do you realize what a story like that means to people, especially given the year from Hell we’ve all had?

Think about it. This past year the world has suffered. We’ve all been impacted by the pandemic in some way shape or form, either on small levels or large. Our world has been at war with a virus that effected everyone and everything: Our sense of safety. Our health. Our economy. Our families & friends. Our freedom. (in the sense of our ability to travel & just be in close proximity to people without fear, but i digress) Deeply imbedded social and systematic diseases have been brought further to light in the past year and a half largely because of this virus. Some of us have lost people we love. Hell, the pandemic even effected the way that the latter half of Campaign 2 played out because of social distancing protocols. If you further compare this to Campaign 2, the world of Exandria was caught in the middle of a war that started because of social & systematic corruptions that had been rooted in two opposing kingdoms for years. And so many suffered and died because of it.

Then the Mighty Nein comes in. This ragtag group of delightful assholes with nothing to lose; these flawed but inherently good at heart and deeply human adventurers, broken and lost in their own ways, trying to make a home and family for themselves in a world that took advantage of them or left them alone or said they weren’t good enough...and they changed things. 

They grew. They fought back. They found moments of silliness and peace and joy and fun amidst all the strife and sometimes grief. Most of all, they tried. Sometimes out of necessity, sometimes out of spite, sometimes even out of compassion, but mostly just out of love. And in the end, not only did they help people and stop a war for the sake of their loved ones, but they also saved their world from being destroyed by a rotted perversion of life from the past that threatened to consume everything they cared about. AND they STILL managed to bring everyone in their found family back to life. Does it erase the bad and sad things that happened to them? Hell no! But those things don’t negate the fact that in that moment, they made it out okay. That this was a victory and they won!

Think of what a story like that means to people right now.

I’m personally a pretty spiritual person, and much like our favorite clerics, I also believe in a higher power. But whether or not you also believe in a Divine being, the Universe or whatever, every D&D player believes in one thing: Fate. Luck. Call it what you will. But it was fate that made those dice rolls that saved everyone happen. It was fate that not only stopped Cognoza from returning, but also brought Jester and Caleb and Molly back to life, even when it seemed like it wouldn’t work. (and holy shit that gave me emotional whiplash!) 

After everything they went through, both individually and together, the Mighty Nein defied the odd and demanded that Fate let them save their loved ones. They demanded that the world give them back their friend; That they deserved to have their happy ending & get to go home alive together. Just. This. Once.

As a writer, I know firsthand that there are some stories we find and create ourselves, but then there are stories that have a way of finding us. Sometimes a story or world or character from somewhere in the Aether will pop into our minds one day and say, ‘I need your voice to tell my story.’ Maybe this is just me getting carried away with the meta brain again. And like i said, i’m a spiritually inclined person, so I believe in things like Fate and a Divine Higher power writing out the stories of the Multiverse. If you’re reading this (and thank you for taking the time to do so) maybe you do too. Or maybe you don’t. Either way, if you’re a fellow critter, then you’re clearly a fan of good stories and/or playing Dungeons & Dragons. So you know how fate/dice roles have a big impact on the outcome of a story, regardless of how tightly written a setup the dungeon master makes. Given all that and how organically stories tend to play out in D&D, I genuinely believe that Matt Mercer and the whole CR Team were meant to be conduits for a story where the flawed heroes save the world AND all make it home alive.

And I think Fate knew that we needed last nights battle to end like this. After all the crap we’ve been through this past year, we needed this happy ending, deserved it even! Not just us critters, the CR team too. As much as we all like to joke that Campaign 2 was secretly scripted, we all know that’s not true. Yes, the setup storyline and world were brilliantly crafted by Matt, and the character roleplaying is beautifully acted out by the team. But the twists and turns, the direction it goes, and how the game plays out is all up to fated dice rolls just like any other game. And something, some kind of force of luck, some force of fate, some Universal Divine DM out there made the roles happen the way they did last night.

It gave us a happy ending.

I believe that this was meant to happen; now of all times with everything else going on in the world. Amidst all this darkness and rot, both in game and in the real world, in the end of it all there was light and life. A reminder that sometimes people do live. They do get second chances. They do find a new family or reunite with old ones. That sometimes the world can be saved for a time, and happy ending do still exist. Even if it’s not broadcasted on the daily news amidst tragedy reports, or even tragedies that don’t get reported (which sadly are a lot, but again i digress).

Because the thing is, like Beau said, no one else will probably know they were heroes. No one will know what the Mighty Nein sacrificed to save all of Exandria. But they don’t need to know that for it to still be true, for life to happen again, and for a found family of nine broken people who love each other to go home together safe. It doesn’t invalidate that the good things happened. That at least for today everyone was saved. That flawed people were still able to do good because they tried. That they left the world better than they found it and got their own small but satisfying happy ending. Even if only for now, because we don’t know what’s gonna happen next Thursday. We don’t know what the future will hold for the Nein or Exandria when the Campaign ends or even when (hopefully) some loose ends will be tied up in later oneshots. But neither that nor the bad and sad stuff that happened beforehand in the game and in the character’s lives invalidates the fact that tonight they won. They lived.

So why can’t that be true for us in the real world?

I said earlier that, as a writer, I believe in the power stories have to not only reflect but also shape our world. This story is an example of why, but especially this episode, and that’s why i was so euphoric about the outcome. It wasn’t just a game for me, and i’m sure for others too. It was a much needed reminder that happy endings can still happen in real life, just as much as they can in stories. Even when everything seems dark and corrupt and rotten and hopeless, we can still keep fighting. We can keep trying. We can make new families and start over and be heroes in our on little lives in small ways. 

We can leave the world better than we found it. 

And maybe, with hard work, imagination, luck and a little Divine intervention...we can also get the happy endings we deserve.

The Dalehart murders

Hello Readers! 

I just finished this script today. It's the pilot for a television show called The Dalehart Murders (Dalehart isn't a real college is it?). It is about a group of college students solving a murder mystery. Critisim is welcome, but please not hate.

The Dalehart Murders

Episode 1: The Beginning of a Nightmare 

Fade in

Ext. Hailey’s apartment- night

Int. Hailey’s room- night

HAILEY (21) sits at a computer. She is dark haired, dark eyed, pale skinned, and small faced. She types on her computer

                     HAILEY (V.O)

So this whole nightmare began at the beginning of the semester.

Fade to:

Hailey walks to class. When she gets to class, she notices a tall guy (22) with short brown hair, tan skin and hazel eyes. They make eye contact for a second, but a second feels like a minute.

                    HAILEY (V.O)

See that guy? Remember him, he is important.

Hailey walks to her seat. The professor begins class. 

                    HAILEY (V.O)

That day when the professor started talking about the history of the campus, is when I started investigating one hell of a case.

Hailey walks into the hall after class. On her way out of the building she overhears a GIRL (20s) with medium hair and brown skin talking to her friends.

                        GIRL

Didn’t you hear? They found another body right outside the building just now.

Hailey keeps on listening to the conversation between the girl and the GIRL’S FRIEND(20s) who has light skin and curly hair.

                      GIRL’S FRIEND  

Oh my God! Does that mean a murder happened just now?

                         GIRL

I don’t know! The victim was stabbed, but there was no blood around the body, so authorities think the body was placed there after murder. 

                   GIRL’S FRIEND

So for all we know the murder could have happened last night. That’s so scary.

Hailey continues out of the building. When She gets outside she sees yellow tape and a group of police with paramedics and forensics surrounding the body of a girl. She looks at the body and then sees the guy from her class.

He too was looking at the body. He looks at her and then walks away.

                         HAILEY

(to herself) Who is committing these murders? Why do I get the feeling that guy is involved somehow?

Hailey looks at the body once more, this time with a worried look.

Ext. campus- night

Hailey walks to the building where the body was found. She sees the guy from her class. He looks at her as if he was expecting to see her there. Hailey steps back startled. She hears a twig break behind her.

She turns around and looks. She sees a girl(21) with blue eyes,  blonde hair, and light skin. The girl starts to run. Hailey runs after her into the woods. Once Hailey gets into the woods she loses the girl.

Hailey finds a clearing and sees she is right by the health center. Hailey notices another guy(23). He is dark skinned, dark haired, dark eyed, and wears glasses. He looks at her, but goes straight back to looking at a huge footprint of blood stains on the ground.

Then the guy looks to his left. Hailey looks that way too. They both see another girl(22). She has dark curly hair, brown eyes, skinny, short,  pale skin, and big glasses. She also wears a bag and is carrying a book that says Sherlock on it.

All of sudden they all hear a SCREAM. They all look at each other. Then, they all ran in different directions. 

Ext. Hailey’s apartment- Night

Int. The doorway- Night

Hailey runs into her apartment and shuts the door quickly. She leans against the door and pants. Her phone JINGLES. she looks at it. It is an email message.

(POV Begins) The message reads:” What were you 5 doing on campus tonight?”

Hailey looks at the other recipients. She reads their names: NICK, MADISON, KURT, and VALERIE. (montage begins)She thinks about the 4 people she saw that night.

All of a sudden, her phone jingles again. This time it’s a reply from Madison. The message read: “It is none of your business!”

Hailey reads Madison’s reply.

Then another message comes in from the anonymous sender. It reads: “It is very much my business, stay away from campus at night or else.”

(End POV) 

                                Hailey

     It almost seems like the sender is speaking calmly.

Hailey types a message to the other recipients.

(POV BEGINS) The message reads: “You guys are solving the mystery of the murders as well, right? Maybe we should meet up and share clues?”

Another message comes in from Madison. It reads: “No way!” A message from Kurt came in. It reads: “Sorry, but I work alone.”

Then a message from Nick came in. It read: “Hailey’s right, we need to work together. I like working alone too, but we can solve the mystery quicker if we work together.” (END POV)

Hailey smiles as she reads the message.

(POV BEGINS)

Another message comes in, this time from Valerie. It reads: “I’m in!” Then another message comes in from Madison. “It reads: Fine, where do you want to meet?” 

INT. study room- afternoon

Hailey arrives first to the meeting room. Everyone else arrives too.

                         Hailey

Ok, I think we should start by introducing ourselves. I’m Hailey.

The guy with Short brown hair and tan skin stands up

                          Nick

                        I’m Nick

The dark skinned boy stands up next

                          Kurt

                        I’m Kurt

The girl with pale skin and dark curly hair stands up

                         Valerie

                       I’m Valerie

They all look at the girl with blonde hair and blue eyes and she stands up  

                          Madison

                    Ugh! Fine, I’m Madison

They all sit back down

                           Hailey

              Whose wants to share their clues first?

They look at each other

                             Kurt

     Well the blood stains I was looking at told me one thing

The rest of the group looked at Kurt

                            Kurt

The murderer is good at covering their tracks. The only DNA I found in the blood was the victims.

Valerie was next to speak up.

                         Valerie

The murderer is highly intelligent.

Madison put her hand in the air.

                           Madison

                             DUH!

Everyone looked at her.

                             Nick  

                        Let her speak.

They all looked at Valerie again.

                            Valerie

They managed to send an email anonymously without the recipients being able to track the email back to their location.

Kurt looked at Valerie impressed. She looked at him and smiled and then looked down shyly as she tucked her curly hair behind her ear. 

                            Nick

The body that was found yesterday afternoon didn’t die in that location. The body was moved there from where they were murdered.

Hailey looked at Nick

                             Hailey

So the murderer moved the body because the killer accidently left tracks.

                              Nick

Or the victim was too close to the killer’s hideout.

They all look at Madison. She rolls her eyes.

                             Madison

That scream we heard was a girl’s.

Everyone looks at her blankly.

                             Madison

The victim before her was male and before that a girl.

                             Nick

So you think there is some sort of pattern with the victims

Madison nods. They all look at Hailey.

                            Hailey

Well um, I uh… didn’t start looking into the murder cases til last night.

Madison slams her hands to the table and stands.

                           Madison

YOU told us to come here and compare clues together and YOU don’t have anything to show?!

Hailey thinks for a moment. She stands up.  

                             Hailey

Wait! The anonymous sender knew we were on campus that night. 

                             Madison

                           (annoyed)So?

                             Hailey

So that means the sender was on campus too, perhaps they are even the killer.

They all look at Hailey  as if she just relayed obvious information.

                             Hailey

                    Well that’s all I know.

                            Madison

              Well if that’s all, can I go now?

                             Hailey

Let’s exchange numbers, that way we can communicate with each-other if we find anything.

                             Nick 

Kurt, Valerie- is there any way you two can make sure our phones are tapped, so no one can see our messages?

Kurt and Valerie look at each other and nod.

Int. Hailey’s apartment bedroom- night

Hailey sits on her bed doing homework when her phone JINGLES. It’s another anonymous email. (POV starts) The message reads: I TOLD YOU TO STOP LOOKING INTO THOSE MURDERS! YOU BETTER WATCH YOUR BACK!.(end POV) Hailey smiles as she reads it.

Her phone JINGLES again. This time it’s a text message from Nick. (POV starts) It says: Meet me outside the Ballour building on campus.. Hailey smiles as she gets up and puts her jacket on.

Ext. campus- night

Hailey watches Nick for a little before making herself known to him. Nick looks at her.

                           Nick 

Hey, I thought we could look for clues together.

Hailey smiles.

                            Hailey

                            Sure.

They walk around for a while.

Hailey looks ahead of them.

                             Hailey

Hey that looks like Kurt and Valerie.

                              Nick

                    (shouting) Hey!

Kurt and Valerie run over to them.

                              Kurt

                              Hey.

                            Valerie

Are you guys searching for clues too?

                              Hailey

Yep. Why do I get the feeling that Madison is around here somewhere?

They all look around.

All of a sudden Nick turns and cups his hands around his mouth

                               Nick

                     (Shouting) Hey Madison!

All of a sudden Madison emerges from the woods.

                              Madison

                (sarcasm) Great the gang's all here.

Hailey rolls her eyes. Snow starts failing.

                                Nick

Well, since we’re all here let’s look for clues. 

                                Kurt

                          What’s the plan

                                Nick

Let’s spit up and then in a few hours we will meet up back here and see if we found anything new.

                               Hailey

                      What if we find something?

                                Nick

                         Can you all whistle?

They all nod.

                                Nick

               If you find anything whistle this tune.

Nick whistles a tune.

                               Valerie

                         Well, let’s do this. 

The group separates. Nick holds his hand out to Hailey. She takes it.

Ext. Campus- by the Ballour building-night

Nick and Hailey search for clues by where the prior victim was found.

                             Nick

              How long have you been at Dalehart?

Hailey looks at Nick.

                            Hailey

                 I’ve been here for 2 years

The snow started to fall harder.

                             Hailey

              So, why do you want to- 

Hailey and Nick look up as an inhuman chant rings through the sky.  

                               Nick

                   It’s coming from the hill.  

Nick points to the hill that separates the Ballour building from the health center. Hailey and Nick walk towards the hill to investigate the chanting. They reach the top of the hill and all of a sudden, Hailey hears something whispering her name.

                             Hailey

                             Hello?

Hailey turns to look for Nick, but he is nowhere to be seen.

                          Creepy voice

                     (whispering) Hailey.

Hailey’s heart pounds. She feels a presence creeping up to her.

                          Hailey 

Whoever you are, leave me alone.

She cries as she goes to hide behind a tree. Hailey could feel there was someone on the other side of the tree. She closes her eyes.

                        Creepy voice

                    (Whispering) Hailey.

All of a sudden, Hailey feels something grab her arm. She opens her eyes and sees Nick standing in front of her.

                            Nick

                      Are you okay?

Hailey nods as she wipes her tears.

They hear Kurt whistling.

                            Nick

Kurt and Valerie must have found something. Let’s go.

Hailey hesitates and looks behind her.

                        Creepy Voice

                    (whispering) Hailey.

This time the voice sounded familiar to Hailey.

                           Nick

                      Are you coming?

Hailey looks at Nick.

                          Hailey

                          Yeah.

Int. Hailey’s apartment bedroom- night

Hailey sits at her computer.

                        Hailey (V.O)

           That’s how the nightmare started. What will we find around campus? Will we be able to work as a team to solve the murders? Who is behind the mysterious chanting? Who is this anonymous sender and when will they strike again? 

Hailey looks at the audience.

                      Hailey (V.O)

                  Only time will tell.
