if it helps, we did get reruns for all of the previous story cards as part of the 5th anniversary! it might not be quite the same in Eng since it was timed to release with the finale of episode 7, and I don't know if that'll line up the same way for you guys. 😅 but however they do it, you SHOULD hopefully get another chance at them relatively (...very relatively) soon! ...sooner than fairy gala, anyway!

So if you're looking for a faithful/well written/creative take on the Holmes stories... No ☺️💖 LMFAO it's an absolute mess of a show and I blame it for most of the worst modern characterizations of the Holmes Watson dynamic (I don't know how true that is, I'm just choosing to blame it)

HOWEVER it is a pretty fun watch with just how flabbergasting it is. Like some of the plot points and character choices are so absurd that you genuinely can't tell if the writers meant for you to take it seriously (they did). It's basically fake-smart. The show wants you to believe the main character and that the writing itself is smart but unfortunately nobody smart was actually in the room when they were working towards that goal 💔 the result is completely offensive if you're trying to watch the show seriously and with a shred of care towards what's going on but if you jump into it refusing to take it seriously you're gonna have a good time. Everyone saying s4 is shit is correct but when you approach it from this perspective it's such a ride.

Just pretend you're reading an incredibly ooc early 2000s chat fic that's gonna shove in random OCS out of nowhere and expect you to accept it. This is the show equivalent of that.

So. I haven’t watched many sherlock holmes adaptations (other than some of granada) and I must ask.

For those who missed it, a Jewish man was threatened with arrest in London this weekend for being "openly Jewish" (that's a quote form the policeman who stopped him) while being near a pro-palestinian protest. He was then abused and harassed by protestors. The policeman said that the man's presence could lead to a "breach of the peace"

The police proceeded to release the most victim blamey apology I've ever seen - one so bad that they then had to withdraw it and issue a second apology

The original apology talks about a "new trend of those opposed to the main protests appearing alongside the route to express their views", and "knowing their presence is provocative".

The guy the police stopped was literally walking in London post shul. Not on a counter demonstration, not on a free the hostages demo, or a pro Israel demo. He was just there, and wearing a kippah.

Like I'm sorry but saying Jews being obviously Jewish is causing a breach of the peace when near a pro-palestinian protest makes it very clear that the police know that these are not actually peaceful.

I'm sure a huge number of people on these demos are not actually antisemites and have no intention to harm Jews, however herd mentality can make even the most reasonable person into a bigot, and frankly if people are afraid to stand against the antisemites, it shows that they now how dangerous the people around them are - so WHY are they still there?
