Frosty Morning by Anthony White A frosty morning at Knowlton Church back towards the end of December. Although the sunrise is from the other side, ahead looking back this way the most interesting spot was this side where the colour of the sky and sculptured landscape with frost stood out. autumn acer by Anthony White Via Flickr: Another image of autumn at Sheffield Park. Firecrest polariser used most of the day here hoping to capture the full colour displayed. With this one I particularly liked using the acer as a frame and as you can see here further acers in the distance and the pond still showing a great reflection this time of the morning.

Morning after Harvest Time by Anthony White Via Flickr: I should say could be the morning after I just liked the title, like most of us naming our images is sometimes a challenge, however it would have been harvested within a day or so. Harvest time, a misty morning at sunrise with the sun dulled by the mist and here we are looking across towards Wareham river. In the distance you can just make out the masts of yachts, I would say Redclyffe yacht club. The image was captured around half an hour after sunrise.

Fairy Falls by Anthony White Via Flickr: Ventured over to Fairy Falls on this particular morning not completely wind free however as you are quite low below the trees the effects of wind are reduced. Sun was in and out of the clouds and getting the timing right for some dappled light and nicely lit rocks and reflection of foliage in the flowing water. Using a polariser only and adapting camera settings in manual to the flow of water just right and a compromise of a few moving trees. And of course peace and quiet.

Dorset Poppy Field by Anthony White Via Flickr: Image captured back in June just as the season was closing in. Managing to a field with Poppies as far as the eye can see. Dynamic range was quite considerable once the sun was up, this one under exposed for the sky and processed in light room, leaving in a couple of lens flares caused by shooting into the sun. snowshill lavender by Anthony White Via Flickr: A family run Lavender farm in the Cotswolds at Snowshill. Got here a little late in the day, lots of tourists with the same idea of taking pictures. On the way getting distracted having a few stops capturing some fascinating and beautiful Cotswold countryside, the moral here is if you are going somewhere drive straight their. Here I got down low to hide as many tourist as possible and using f stop and zoom technique to keep most of the lavender in focus while defocusing the background almost giving it a 3D look, you can still see one of the tourist a little blurred out near the farmers cottage. On the plus side on this rare occasion of english summer the sun was out.
