what was riku's reaction when he made a semi-living being out of his feelings for sora in neverland? did maleficent teach him this, or was riku in his room for hours, shifting and crafting the darkness until some semblance of his best friend formed? did he fuss over every detail? (his hair parts this way/his lips are more rounded/he has more baby fat here) did he cringe away at those yellow eyes at first? that hollow voice that was and wasn't sora at the same time? did he fight with it? yell at it? pound his hands against a ribcage that sucked in every hit and just stood there with sora's stupid smile on it's face?

did he hold it tight in his arms, begging the shadow to say 'I love you'?

did he cry as it said nothing?

Sora is screaming.

He's never been in this much pain before.

He's died before, it hurt but it's nothing in comparison to this.

Something is being ripped, torn, cut out of him. He can't fight it.

He's helpless.

Tears leak down the sides of his face as he writhes in agony.

Someone is talking.

He can't hear over the sound of his screams. The sound of his heartbeat in his ears.

Silence.

There is nothing.

He is nothing.

An empty shell.

A shadow stands over him, Hand reaching for his face. Gripping his chin tightly. Raising him off the floor to force him to meet their face.

The hooded figure is talking. There's a buzzing noise in his ears.

The hooded figure is gone, animalistic shrieking fills his ears and he finds himself face down.

…

…

…

Something crouches over him.

There is a hissing noise followed by clicking.

…

…

…

Everything aches. It burns.

He's empty, too hollow to be human anymore.

Something warm, soft presses against his side.

It soothes away the torn edges of his being.

He can rest.

Hi! Hi!! Fren!! Your split Sora au constantly roams my thoughts and periodically consumes me such as this whole week. Tell me more about feral darkness and catatonic light. Can Sora still move around? How does he eat? Is he worse off then ventus? I'm sure he took some time to start moving around. Learning how to do everything all over again. Basically like a newborn before endingup with aqua and terra. Or does Sora stay catatonic?

Hello!! I’m happy u like the AU sm <3 My friend and I have been writing fics about the Split Sora AU here!

So, Sora’s on a ticking time bomb. Unlike with Ventus who had Sora’s heart connected to his so as to prevent him from fading, Sora doesn’t have this. So he won’t ever fully recover unless 1) someone connects to his heart like Sora did to Ventus or 2) him and his darkness(anti) are reconnected

Thankfully, Anti being so close (and nice) is slowing this process immensely. But there’s still a time limit. Sora has moments of clarity and will walk around during these moments, but he’s kinda delirious in this state. And these moments get shorter and shorter the longer they’re separated

Same goes for Anti. Anti is doing better than his Light due to the nature of Darkness, but as his Light degrades so will he; Losing his form and identity and will eventually just become part of the natural darkness in the world.
