Your posts from October/November of the last year hold a special place in my heart. Back then I was going through a very harsh time with my job practically sucking out the last droplets of my blood and sanity. I vividly remember standing outside of the building on my lunch break and smoking cig after cig like a chimney (-100000000 out of 10 experience would never recommend) and I swear the moment I was about to burst into tears I got a Tumblr notification of a new post on your blog. It was about Halloween outfits your characters would choose. Despite my state I got slightly amused with some of the choices. I managed to go through the rest of my day without crumbling down completely with the help of the thoughts of your game in the back of my mind. I know it may sound ridiculous but your story and that ask in particular really helped me shift the focus from my struggles and somewhat unwind in a healthy escapism way. 

I’ve been meaning to reach out to you a long ago to thank you but I knew that telling you all of this might not be welcome as we all are strangers here (and not all authors and readers may find it appropriate when some random person on Tumblr dot com overshares and I’m sorry if I made someone uncomfortable). Well, it's a little difficult to me to explain ahshs but, here I made a little explanation?

I'm not a professional and I'm kind of new at drawing animals ajsjs, but anyway, I also recommend you to look for references like real life photos, drawings of artists that you like. In my personal experience, I did that, and also I have tried to study and practice with the art of Aaron Blaise, and a lot of references from the zootopia and puss in boots art books/concept arts 🙌

okay so straight up the dynamic i’m MOST interested in learning about in f&b2 is the viserys-naerys-daeron ii dynamic. first of all, those first two are just UNGODLY DISTURBINGLY YOUNG when they have children. viserys has naerys, his YOUNGEST child when he is sixteen. naerys has daeron when she is fifteen. viserys is a grandfather before he is 32 years old. it is truly babies raising babies out here!! i mean fuck, daeron has baelor under significantly less traumatic circumstances but he’s still only 17 by the time he starts having kids! that’s all just wildly interesting and disturbing to me. like, that alone, how close in age they all are because they all married & started having kids at crazy young ages, explains so much about why this period has always felt particularly deranged to me (“this period” being post dance where we get this incredible string of deranged freaks from aegon iii to aegon iv that ebbs into this vaguely “we’re having a targ renaissance yay” era that erupts into civil war anyways! i LOVE this conceptually i’m so ready to be annoyed when f&b2 comes out and i’ve hyped this all up for some more dumb sex stories from another court fool ajsjs).

but then secondly, okay, when you look at the timeline- daeron is born in 153 and the birth nearly kills naerys 15/16 year old naerys. aegon iii is still king for four more years. that last year, aegon iv spends his time (and the next two years after that) shacked up with megette. then aegon spends a few years shacked up/probably raping casella vaith the hostage, before running off to war. then he spends more time raping naerys, wherein she has a miscarriage, and aegon is sent away so he doesn’t rape her to death. daeron marries myriah, has a child with her. but before that child is two, in quick succession, his father comes back home & immediately starts raping his mother again, his mother nearly dies having twins & now he has a sister younger than his son, and daena unveils her new bastard who everyone thinks is aegon’s, and baelor is so distraught by all this he fasts himself to death. viserys is king, and likely dead before daeron’s second son is born and before daeron turns twenty. suddenly the person responsible for making sure aegon doesn’t rape naerys to death are daeron & aemon, who have NO authority over aegon. this man has the audacity to stay alive for twelve more years.

that shit is insane. daeron’s father is only around when he’s raping his mom. the closest things daeron has to a father figure are his uncle who wants to fuck his mom, his grandfather who is probably busy constantly (and also only in his thirties 😭), and his batshit insane cousin baelor. his childhood is marked by almost constant instability until it stabilizes for the worse when his cousins all get locked in the maidenvault, then gets thrown into upheaval once again as baelor & viserys die and now his dad who is only around when he’s raping his mom is suddenly back in town and has total control.

and naerys. she’s like if aemma lived long enough to parent her kids, but worse bc you could argue there was fondness of a sort between aemma & viserys. aegon and naerys hate each other. she is constantly pregnant and on death’s door from the age of fifteen (three years older than her father!) until the day she dies, in her early 40s. it sounds like worse than hell to me. it is a lifetime where the only source of comfort you have is the son you birthed at fifteen, because maybe your life is a nightmare but if you raise him to be marginally less evil, he won’t destroy the innocent little girl you know is going to be sent to court to be his wife. everyone else is actively holding you hostage and applauding you for taking the abuse so well. your whole life is screaming for help and all you get is tears telling you you’re so dutiful and brave.

and viserys just. watches it all happen. of course he does! his kids are simply ungrateful! he had to get married at twelve and his wife wasn’t born in westeros so they had nothing in common and at least they have a living father, they have no idea how lucky they are. why should daeron and naerys blame him when he gave them everything because he had nothing? it’s a shame it wasn’t naerys that offed this man. i do think she was his favorite kid tho and i bet he’s not subtle about it at all.

This is really funny to me because if you play a male, non binary, and/or trans MC then yeah. That's literally the vibe ajsjsjd Rook knows he isn't straight and has even dated a guy once in high school, but for various reasons, definitely isn't out about it.

Also alas a female or nonbinary Rook would literally be a completely different character due to how much of himself is kinda anchored around being a guy. A lot of his personality is built up around "this is how teen/college guys act so I'm going to mirror it." F!Rook would have been the same, and nb!Rook is....complicated ajsjs. Also hate to say it but his mom would not have cared as much about f!rook and Rook's dad would have gotten custody a lot sooner, making f!Rook significantly more willing to be open and slightly less traumatized lmaO

But yeah, changing Rook's gender wouldn't be just like changing flavor text and having slight differences, it would be totally changing parts of his backstory, his personality, and even parts of his BA subplot (especially for nb Rook, seeing as nb!Rook would probably be them having to realize they're non binary in the first place ajsjs). Gender just has a significant impact on his character, for better or for worse.

They're from the game genshin impact, it's a mobile/PC game that's similar to things like botw, it's an open world rpg. But it's also a gacha game

First there's Diluc he's my favourite.

Let's not look at his in game model....

In the game there are 7 regions in the world of teyvat. The first being mondstadt the city or music and freedom. They worship the anemo archon but he's been absent for years in order to not push his own ideals of freedom "what's freedom demanded of you from an archon?"

So diluc is from mondstadt. He is one of the richest men of teyvat. Running the mondstadt wine industry. He owns and runs the dawn winery, and angels share the tavern in mondstadt.

In this world when an archon recomizes you Ig you would say or they acknowledge your ambition they are gifted what's called a vision. A small glass orb that allows the user to control one of the 7 elements (anemo,geo,electro,dendro,hydro, pyro or cryo)

When diluc was 10 he received a pyro vision. At age 13 he became mondstadts youngest cavalry captain. He becomes a knight to make his father proud, who never received a vision and didn't make it to the knights because of that.

He has an adopted brother named Kaeya. They found him in the woods during some rainy night and adopted him

My other beloved blorbo. They're called the ragbros because dilucs last name is ragnvindr. Kaeya idk if he ever used that but after some lore stuff it's Alberich

Their lore together is so ajsjjajs they make me ill

Everything is like all cool until dilucs 18th birthday when he has to escort his father on this mission for the knights. Uh so halfway through they're stopped by this creature called ursa the drake and it's kinda like this big dragon. It kills all the other knights that were with him on that missions and he tries to fight it off and get his father to safety but he is knocked back.

His father randomly pulls out this delusion which is like a vision but it's man made, and made of dead god remains. It usually kills the user, ages faster, takes from their life force or other unknown side effects

He uses it and it like insta kills but him the drake is gone woo ajsjs uh oh

Kaeya arrives as back up with other knights but it's just took late. It's implied in the game diluc mercy kills his dad to stop him from being in so much pain but in the manga he just kinda disolves???

Kaeya actually feels really relived that his adopted dad died because kaeya lore. He was sent as a spy by his birth father. There's this other nation we're told about called Khaenri'ah. Which was a nation with no archon. It was like the peak of humanity but Celestia (even higher up to the archons) was like nuh uh tkk dangerous look at those machines they're making. And sent the gods to destroy the whole nation. That was 500 years ago. How kaeya is from there is a mystery but he's sent to mond and left by the winery on that rainy night to be a 'spy' according to him anyway. His father told him that he was their 'last hope'

So dilucs had this terrible birthday and kaeya goes to talk to him because he feels so guilty about how relieved he was that their father died. Even if it was for a brief moment and decides to come clean about his past.

This part is very much up to interpretation because their stories don't say much. But they end up fighting. Diluc using his vision. The fanon verisons is he relases this massive fire bird which is his burst in the game towards kaeya. And that moment kaeya receive a vision. Making a sheild around him causing this elemental reaction.

You unlock kaeya sheild at c4 (you get 4 extra copies of him. gacha game moment skdkd)

Some point in the fight diluc injuries his eye covered by the eye patch. Giving him a scar. through this one event we find that he's not blind there and his voice lines say he can see perfectly fine out of it.

But he was wearing an eye patch for no reason before this. Maybe for fun?? Maybe for lore who knows. He won't tell us his lore skdkd not yet at least

They end up fighting. Next day diluc is back at the knights because they're investigating his father's death. One of them who turned out to be a traitor from the fatui (this massive army from one of the nations sneznhaya) he's like yo actually we're gonna cover this up because it's gonna make us look bad if the knights didn't fight but this rich winery owner who has no powers did. Diluc is like fuck this I'm leaving. Leaves his vision and a week later leaves mondstadt.

He decides he gonna go on a killing spree taking on the delusion that killed his father. He disappears for 4 years. Ends up in sneznhaya. Meets some harbingers almost gets killed but saved but this random organization. He joins the organization and ends up being really high ranking too and then returns to mond to run the winery. With apperently no side effects from the delusion???? Hoyo please tell us what happened. Literally the game tells you about the side effects of delusions and how bad they are yet he uses it for 4 years and nothing happens???? What are you hiding

Hes no longer a knight but he still wants to protect people so he becomes a vigilante. People in mond somehow don't know it's him but they call him the dark knight hero

As an adult after all that trauma he really keeps to himself. He seems very lonely tbh. Described by kaeya as in his own world all the time. Less happy, seen as grumpy and never smiles :(( he still mischievous in his story quests and is so kind.

Death isn't under a magic spell/curse actually, he is just that way (a wolf) and is super grumpy and angry and all that, but he deep inside of his heart he's kind.

He let Perrito live with him because our little fellow almost d*ie drowned in a lake, and Death saved him. He also let Kitty stayed when she arrived wounded when she left her home when her former family cut off her claws.

Puss lives with Dulcinea and Humpty Dumpty in San Ricardo, the little town next to Death's castle (?) They were raised as siblings and care a lot for each other (even when Humpty says or does weird things)

The other people of San Ricardo thinks about them as freaks, not a bunch of fans if you ask them, but they (puss, dulci and Humpty doesn't care at all.

Dulcinea helps with the orphanage, and she's constantly traveling to different towns or cities to get things to help the children. One day she has an accident and was chased by wild wolves and ended up in Death's castle.

Death is constantly visited by the Blue Fairy, who thinks that death should change his manners and his way to be with others, she as well as Perrito thinks that death is actually a good person, and she gives him a magic rose to keep in his garden just to make it look pretty. Dulcinea wanted one of the roses but death gone mad when he caught her picking one.

And well, they're not headcanons or so, but anyway ajsjs.

Maybe I'll draw a little more of that au when I have free time 🙌
