After a 2-3 hours bus and train ride from Takachiho, I finally arrived at Aoshima where I stayed at a really nice resort hotel for free (from points accumulated from business trips in my ‘past life’ lol - pardon the mini trip down memory lane… sometimes, I can’t help but miss those times 🥺).
Aoshima Beach is right in front, and the shrine is a good 10-15 minute walk (if I remember correctly) from the hotel. Weather’s kinda gloomy, but it was totally fine for me.

Since Minako and her Siblings are part Japanese on their fathers side, do they indulge into Japanese Culture? Because I can imagine Minako wearing a cute kimono! A pink one to be exact 👘
When Takashi and Flora were still alive, they did their best to take the kids to their motherlands for vacations every year or have their families visit them in London. It's always a good time when it's Takashi's turn to take family back to Japan just in time for the Himeji Yukata Festival, and Minako gets to bust out her favourite Yukata out of the closet.
The Nezumis don't visit the Philippines or Japan as often since their parents died, but they all make a group effort in saving for their vacations. Or the Malfoys decide to invite the family to Japan since Erika and Draco Malfoy have the money to do so, and Minako is best friends with their daughter, Kikyo.
Minako is a pro at shateki (the shooting games at the festivals), but she hates the goldfish scooping games because she knows those goldfish tend to not live very long. Other than the festivals, Minako is really into anime cafés and tends to drag Kikyo along for the ride. And being the animal lover that Minako is, she was elated to visit Aoshima, Japan's cat island, just to feed and play with the cats there.
Flor is a bit of a history nerd. She likes exploring temples and shrines while learning about Japanese mythology. Crowded festivals are not her cup of tea, but she'll put up with it if you give enough shaved ice and yakitori.
Alexis is also not into the festivals, but they'll stay for some cotton candy and fireworks. They'd much rather spend their time relaxing in an onsen hotel. Private onsens preferably.
Kento loves the festivals the most down from the atmosphere, the food, and the games. He likes looking for the weirdest love hotels and that robot restaurant show just for the fun of it.

Torsdag 27. oktober
Dette såg me fleire stader sørover langs kysten.

An incredible temple in a "tropical island" surrounded by palm trees. Although it is not clear, it is thought that the foundation date back to before the year 820. In the ancient times, the entire island was a sacred land and up to the Edo period on the island was not allowed entry.

PRINCE KOMOREBI AND FAMILY MAKE PLEA FOR PRINCESS KANAKO, FOUR MONTHS AFTER SHE WAS REPORTED MISSING
Tumblr media
KOMOREBI CITY, KOMOREBI WARD, SHIKOKU --
Today, Their Imperial Highnesses Tatsuhiko, Prince Komorebi, his wife Emiko, Princess Komorebi and their oldest daughter, Princess Misako of Komorebi sat down to cameras and journalists to make a plea to Princess Kanako’s abductor to return her home safe and sound, at Akafuku Palace.
Speaking out for the first time since 9 July, Prince Tatsuhiko gave an emotional speech to the public for his younger daughter to come home.  “It was Saturday morning, 9 July, she had to leave early for an engagement at Aoshima Shrine, she kisses me and Emiko goodbye. Later on, Misako gets a voicemail from her saying ‘Goodbye, this may be the last time I see you, I love you.’ and when we heard the voicemail ourselves... it seemed that time came to... abrupt halt.” He said to reporters.
Tumblr media
His Imperial Highness, fighting to hold back tears, further states, “We received information from the authorities that Kanako left Aoshima Shrine at 10:15. She had finished her solo engagement there and was headed back here to rest for a bit before her next engagement to the cemetery to give offerings to her great-grandparents. But, when we got word that she never made it to the cemetery, we reported her missing. We also received a surveillance video from Yamada Airport, showing her being grabbed by the arm by someone, and whisked onto a an airplane.”
Tumblr media
Finally, he couldn’t take it. He made the emotional plea: “Kana-chan, If you can see this or hear this, please come home. We love you and we want to know that you’re safe,” before breaking down in tears.
Tumblr media
Emiko, Princess Komorebi, pleaded through tears: “Kana-chan, please come home. I don’t want harm to come to you. Please, please come home. We love you.”  The Prince Komorebi family closed the conference without receiving questions. Princess Kanako was last seen wearing a light purple blouse and a dark purple skirt. She is 157 centimeters tall and weighs 72 kilograms. Anyone with information is urged to call their local authorities or the Shikoku Federal Authorities.
