Fazerdaze - Come Apart (from Break ep) Love this new single from Fazerdaze that was released along with Break. I also really love this little film “Thick of It” about Amelia and what she’s been up to and how she’s dealt with things.

So if that terror attack on Lebanon is justified for the death of those 12 Druze children (which I'm sure you wouldn't be as heartbroken about them if they were killed by the IDF instead), what should the IDF punishment be for killing thousands of Palestinians children and how many Israeli civilians are you willing to let die in order to get to those Israeli terrorists? Assuming you think Israelis should even be punished for killing children (or that the word terrorists can be used to describe someone that isn't Muslim)
I wasn't going to answer this as I know it's obviously in bad faith but I'll bite
Stop putting your US centric views onto me. Here in New Zealand, we considering March 15th a terror attack. If you don't know what happened that day, a white supremist opened fire on two mosques in Christchurch. The white supremist who did it? He is a terrorist. I consider him a terrorist. All the media here considers him a terrorist. He is a terrorist.
New Zealand has designated a few white supremist groups and individuals as terrorists
Tumblr media
Do you know who else is on this list?
Tumblr media
Hezbollah.
Do you know who is not on this list? The IDF. You can check for yourself too
To quote the Terrorism Suppression Act 2002, which is ya know, laws surrounding terrorism, the IDF currently is exempt from it.
"However, an act does not fall within subsection (2) if it occurs in a situation of armed conflict and is, at the time and in the place that it occurs, in accordance with rules of international law applicable to the conflict."
(Sub section two refers to civilians being harmed or killed)
Fun fact about war crimes! Individuals get arrested for them and designated as war criminals, not everyone who is apart of the military. Bibi can be arrested for war crimes. Any individual IDF member who did the war crime can be arrested for war crimes. Whatever the Israeli version of John Smith is, who has never committed a war crime during his service, cannot be arrested for a war crime, and therefore cannot be labeled a terrorist.
But wouldn't Hamas and hezbollah be excempt from being a terrorist group as they're in an armed conflict? They've both committed terrorist acts outside of armed conflicts, ergo, terrorist organizations.
Also, you can read the act I was quoting if you want
https://www.legislation.govt.nz/act/public/2002/0034/latest/DLM152702.html?search=ts_act%40bill%40regulation%40deemedreg_terrorism+suppression+act_resel_25_a&p=1
So, now that we have established that the IDF has not committed a terror attack as they're currently in armed conflict with Hezbollah, the rest of what you said falls apart, but to address it.
1. I would be equally as sad if the IDF killed 12 druze children
2. I think that any IDF members who have committed war crimes + bibi should be arrested for war crimes as I've stated so many times
3. If I lived in an ideal world, all hezbollah members would simply be arrested and there would be no loss of life. But we don't live in an ideal world. Hezbollah won't allow themselves to be arrested. Hezbollah also remains an active threat. If IDF members who have committed war crimes + Bibi refuse to be arrested and are still an active threat to people (key word active threat), yeah killing them would be best. Considering the exploding pagers had a mortality rate of 0.3%, and not all of that were civilians, I would expect a mortality rate of less than 0.3% of civilians near the individual war criminal to be killed.
Oh whats that? Not the answer you expected yeah I thought so. How about instead of frothing at the mouth trying to find a gotcha you can use to dehumanize me, you actually A) read up on laws* and definitions and B) read through my blog first because I've said many times that individuals who have committed war crimes should be arrested
*I know that NZ law may differ from laws elsewhere but they're pretty similar in the US, Canada and the UK

Russian attempted Mass stabber Nikolai
Tumblr media
A Russian teen streams himself attempting a Christchurch inspired Mass stabbing near an Apartment Block.
The footage is about 11 minutes long and shows he was streaming over discord. He stabs a young looking woman infront of the building then wanders around until he says he hears sirens which causes him to head towards a playground, the stream cuts out as he is walking.
It is believed he injured up to 12 other people after the stream cut out.
his gear:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
At the beginning of his stream he says "Remember lads subscribe to pewdiepie" quoting Brenton Tarrant.
He was also an Incel and hated women.
As far as i know he hasnt been captured yet and is commenting (under the name "Nikolaigaming", he posted the image at the top and an edit of himself in the comments lol) under the WPD post about him (also contains the full stream).
Sorry for the messy post there really isnt much info about this.

The Magnus Protocol theories about Augustus and why I disagree with most of them. Statement begins.
As the tags imply down below this post will contain spoilers of TMAGP up to episode 4 and spoilers for TMA.
First and foremost. Do I agree that the computer voices Chester and Norris are in fact the transferred soul fragments or consciousness of Jon and Marin? Yep.
But the overwhelming amount of people hoping for Augustus to be Jurgen Leitner, Elias Bouchard or even Gertrude Robinson is nonsensical.
We are all capable of accessing the internet and search for the VA's of aforementioned characters from TMA. Jurgen Leitner was voiced by Paul Sims (Jonny Sims' father) whilst it was Sue Sims (Jonny Sims' mother) who gave voice for Gertrude. As for Elias Bouchard (va Ben Meredith) he was a mere vessel for Jonah Magnus. In MAG049 - The Butcher's Window Jon states the following about Elias:
And yet, everything I found out about his life before the Institute seems… an ill fit with the austere man I know. He apparently graduated with a Third from Christchurch College in PPE, and I found [incredulous laugh] an old gossip column in the student newspaper, the Cherwell, that mentioned him. If I’m not reading too much into it, the implication seems to be that he was… ah, something of a pothead.
In the light of the provided information there's no reason to believe that Elias had any place being the 3rd voice (Augustus) but his body, his voice was used by the body hopping madman, Jonah Magnus.
Moreover, the main voices for The Magnus Protocol have been revealed from the start and can be found here (keep in mind that Seer Pink has been replaced by Billie Hindle)
Augustus is voiced by Tim Fearon. Meaning he can't be Jurgen Leitner or Gertrude Robinson.
He is either the original Jonah Magnus who created the Magnus Institute in 1818 or he is a completely unrelated character we've never encountered before.
What I also noticed is how the 3 computer voices divide the casements between each other.
Norris reads out the ones filled with emotions, loss of love, acceptance anything that could reflect how Martin might feel after everything that happened at the end of TMA.
Chester reads out the factual casements and possibly anything Magnus related especially if the casement warns the listener not to DIG DIG DIG out any info on the godforsaken place and get tangled with the Beholding.
Augustus will probably pick anything old as balls. Dangly, grey-haired old man balls. And gory as hell.
These preferences match with the characters Jon, Martin and Jonah perfectly.
Statement ends.
I'll pick apart another theory next time I gather the motivation to do some research and sum up my thoughts.

6/5/24.
All Fall Down were one of the earlier ("My Brand New Wallpaper Coat" is FN089) Flying Nun bands. They were based in Christchurch and "burned bright and blew apart". This is their only EP but the Bandcamp digital version has been remastered to "fit within the contemporary digital environment and bring it closer to the band's original live energy."
This is some classic Flying Nun jangle and bass. Certainly fellow Christchurchians (?) The Bats come to mind. This also recalls the solo work of Barbara Manning. What's truly amazing is that when All Fall Down "blew apart" it doesn't seem like the musicians formed other bands.
As we all know the Flying Nun sound went on to influence thousands. I was just listening to San Francisco band Poundsign.
Here's hoping for a reissue as the original pressings of this are either expensive or unavailable.

Well, I’m sick as hell. Don’t go to conventions, they aren’t worth it. (It’s not Covid, thankfully).
Because of this, I’ve been working on chapter two of TFTH:ACA all day. Here’s a sneak peek! Chapter two should be out by Friday, probably sooner. The artist this one’s dedicated to will be tagged the day the chapter is completed.
———
Chapter Two: Yeah, That’s To Be Expected
Donatello, in his own special way, had evaded the repercussions of his actions and decided to relax at home. There’d be no story time this week, not like he were particularly invested in more petty crime recounting after pulling off one of the most insane heists in New York’s history. No, he was fine by himself, thank you.
But the feeling of loneliness he wouldn’t admit crept up on him, and the desire to hear other people talking won in the end. Wordlessly, Dee flicked a switch on his headphones and listened in on his uncles via bug planted in their kitchen.
Now the proud owners of the largest diamond in the United States, Hypno and Warren settled back into mundane life in their apartment.
A massive rock didn’t change much. Not like there was anyone they could sell it to without being caught or getting immediately sent to ultra prison. Instead, it was simply a shiny centerpiece, held in a small glass display case in the center of their dining room table. Warren enjoyed tapping the glass while they ate, almost as if he expected the geological wonder to do a trick. The only thing it seemed to be good at was blinding him if the light caught it a certain way.
Dinner that particular night was takeout from a popular Australian spot in the Lower East Side, the couple taking to using a dart board to decide where to order from.
“So,” Warren started, “I’ll admit it. I shouldn’t have told Donnie about the boat arson.”
Hypno hummed back in acknowledgement, forking at his salad. “We’re terrible influences.”
“Now I wouldn’t say that. He was gonna rob that place with or without us. We’re enablers,” Stone corrected.
“That isn’t much better.”
“At least we didn’t tell him about the car we stole the day after the yacht fire.”
“And we never will. But that was a spectacular  road-trip, I will admit. Extra grateful for you.” The magician snapped his fingers, their two empty plates picking themselves up and landing in the sink.
“Why? It was one car.” Warren shrugged.
“It’s more than that. You didn’t just steal a car, it’s all that came after that.”
“I know you would’ve done the same for me.”
_____
One Thursday in Late October, 4:56AM NZT
“Darling, are you sure you’ve done this before?”
“They don’t call me Warren ‘Bad Boy’ Stone for nothing. Of course I have.”
The Queen Anne factory was in Christchurch, an exceptionally long car ride away from Gisborne. A distance of that magnitude, roughly fifteen hour drive, wasn’t an issue. The only problem was neither had a car, nor had they any desire to rent one. So it was time for ol’ reliable: theft! Again.
Cars were, no pun intended, not in Hypno’s wheelhouse. This task was relegated to Warren.
Stone cracked his knuckles after selecting his victim - a flashy as hell, 1967 electric blue Chevy Corvette. Where he’d found it was a mystery that’d remain unsolved, not a care in the world as he jimmied the lock and got in without much resistance. Anyone that happened to walk by, if at all, simply ignored the news anchor while he pulled wires from under the steering wheel and taped them together.

An Epilogue for Australia 2023
I love a sunburnt country,
A land of sweeping plains,
Of ragged mountain ranges,
Of droughts and flooding rains.
I love her far horizons,
I love her jewel-sea,
Her beauty and her terror
The wide brown land for me!
An excerpt from:
My Country
By Dorothea Mackellar
We made all the arrangements for this trip last summer which seems ages ago now and it troubled us whether we had packed enough into the itinerary, if we were really just repeating too much, and if the destinations were to be interesting enough. We ought not to have worried because none of that was so. It turned out that the balance was almost perfect. Lovely to see Jill again and stay in her amazing apartment in Balgowlah which we like enormously. The cruise to NZ was really enjoyable, seeing both the south Island where we haven't been before and revisiting the north Island, especially Napier. We were particularly pleased to visit Christchurch which we loved and the Sounds were stunning. We felt so fortunate that we completed this cruise when we did because soon after Cyclone Gabrielle came across flooding areas in the north and of course our condolences go out to those people.
The second part of the trip I think changed the way we view this wonderful country, that is our journey to woop woop, pronounced wup wup ie the middle of nowhere and beyond. We broke ourselves in gently before getting to the outback by first calling into some amazing beaches and then heading due west. The outback is a different Australia entirely; the accent is different, harder, broader. Some live in such remote places that there's no apparent reason for the place to be there at all. The couple who ran the cattle station could, with binoculars, see their neighbours. The girl in the bottle shop in Roma dreamed of the day she might go to Bondi Beach! Outbackers do not go to cities which are most likely unaffordable, and city dwellers don't go to the outback apart perhaps from Uluru, called Ayers Rock in pre decimal days. There are at least three levels of society in this amazing country, City, Outback and First Nation. We absolutely loved the outback; we loved the simplicity, the isolation, the one street, the bar where it goes quiet when you walk in, the friendliness, the pleasure they get when outsiders visit their town, the nothingness, the 'I went to Brisbane once, I didn't like it ' comment, the 'if we need to go shopping we drive 2 hours to Charleville', the big huge skies, the massive sunsets, the red dirt, the space, the long long straight empty roads, drive for 280km and not see a single building, community that appears to actually work, we loved it all that's all nearly 5000kms of it in Mr Avis's SUV.
We learned stuff. Staying on the cattle station we saw how hard life could be with not enough help, the danger of moving heavy cattle around, the changing climate, the financial loss that results from drought, the difference rain can make, the condition of the grass therefore life for the cattle or not. Having witnessed the cows being sent to market was a salutary moment for a meat eater versus vegetarian or at least non beefeater.
The rains had returned to the east of Australia with the red dirt turning green. This meant more food for animals such as kangaroos which meant they were not so evident in human occupied land. They talk of El Nino and the effects it has on the climate, La Nina is it's opposite number and it would appear there's a transition. We saw the vast coal mining operations in Newcastle and Blackwater and are both disturbed by this but also understand the economic arguments that allow it's continuance.
We learned more about Australian dinosaurs, crocodiles and how to kill one if necessary, cattle handling obviously, Australian politics and how similar they are to ours, societal problems like interest rate levels, inflation, long hospital waiting lists for hip replacements, shortage of doctors, superannuation, staff shortages in general, mortgage rates, high cost of energy, shortages, scrutiny over COVID handling, proposed Submarine purchases from AUKUS and the list goes on and on and we rub our eyes to see if we are at home or abroad!
The outback is such a fascinating place of great extremes. It breeds a tough and resilient kind of person constantly battling against an environment that views humans as an itch that needs to be scratched, a boil that needs lancing and moreover eradicated. Nature wiped out the dinosaurs of Winton millions of years ago and it does its best now to get rid of their modern day replacements. It does this by seven years of immense drought followed by fire terrifyingly tearing across the tinder dry land and scrub killing and destroying anything in its path. Then come the rains with such intensity the waters rebound, fill the creeks and the vast floodplains drowning animals small and large that inevitably get caught up in it. And then comes the cyclone that blows away structures and trees that dare to challenge it. Nevertheless the communities are tough and stubborn and rebuild because this is a great land. If you want precious stones mounted in precious metals, it is to be found here. If it can be eaten, drunk or cooked with, it is here. If it is needed to generate heat or power then it can be found here. If it is a rare mineral and it is to be found in the periodic table, it can most likely be found in Australia somewhere. If you want to make batteries for new generation electric vehicles, the lithium can be found there. If you want to increase your chances of being bitten, poisoned or eaten to death then Australia has it in droves. It is not the home of Shakespeare; no play contains the words G'day Mate, or own any work entitled Two Gentlemen from Woop Woop, but they try. They are both a young country with no history beyond 200 years and yet they have the combined history's of its many nationalities. They also have the fascinating and hidden history of the indigenous peoples going back 60,000 years! They have European Art which is developing more now into something of their own. More encouraging is that indigenous works are beginning to be appreciated now as works of art in their own right and not as they previously were merely as objects of interest.
This is a marvellous country unsurpassed anywhere else on the globe and deserves to be explored and appreciated for the incredible experiences it so readily offers
Perhaps one of the last images we will recall might be at Sydney Airport:
'Repack or pay' screamed the fierce looking Australian woman behind the Malaysia Airlines check-in desk at the overweight Indian family presenting equally overweight luggage. She could do well in a banshee yelling competition. They were escorted to a quiet spot where silver changed hands.
We have so enjoyed our time here with the variety of things we have done. We went to the SOH three times on this trip and were blown away by each performance, each different from the previous in different ways. We took a very fond look back at Sydney Harbour as we walked away from it last night, the place we really love and of course Manly, not wanting to leave it, but it's au revoir not goodbye, we are simply going to be absent for a while and we shall be back.
