Aichi gives zero fucks about this NPC’s boasting and beats her in record time. He literally beats her so thoroughly and so badly that he apologizes. People forget how much of an absolute menace this boy is. He “draw monsta cardo”ed her.

Let it be known that Aichi beats world class fighters so hard that he apologizes.

hey guys did you know that there's a series of cfv 3ds games that never got localized or fan translated and ive been playing the roms through a shitty ocr screen translator. here are some of my favorite scenes from the first game so far (note: these scenes could be entirely wrong because the translator is kind of shitty but i digress)

- izaki asks you what gift he should get morikawa for his birthday. the choices are 1) one (1) grade 3 card 2) an astrology book and 3) a signature from ninja master m. clearly morikawa is an easy guy to get gifts for

- misaki practices her customer service greeting in the park because customers think she's too unfriendly. she gets tired of smiling, says her cheeks hurt, and then is basically like "this customer service thing is so dumb. cardfight me"

- jun kidnaps you just to cardfight you God help me he is crazy

like BITCH? YOU'RE JUMPING ME? OVER CARDS?

- i don't have screenshots but there's this scene where you as the protagonist go to find kai bc u wanna fight him and miwa intercepts you like "kai? oh that lazy bastard he's probably napping ill take you to him"

- in the same scene kai wakes up from his nap and says hes too busy to fight you. its really funny because hes clearly not busy if hes asleep on a park bench and miwa is even like Oh yeaaaa so busy (sarcastically)

- kai does give u a couple cards in compensation. i think the protag gets a little pushy about it like "no i wanna FIGHT bitch" (translator was a little weird here) and miwa steps in like Hey hey heyyy 😅😅😅 Let's not poke the beast here this is the best u are gonna get kid

- miwas also prone to napping in parks apparently

One thing that will always be funny is how Aichi shoots up in height like a tree in between season 2 and 3 but is still relatively smol

Also something I thought about is that the biggest missed opportunity in G was not seeing Aichi get hammered. He’s 21 let him drink. I would pay money to see Aichi drunkenly explaining the plot of season 1-4 to the G cast.

Twisted-Vanguard: If TWST Boys plays CFV - Ignihyde Edition

We return to this series now that JP Episode 6 had ended. So, this will contain a spoiler of Ignihyde Arc. But I think my early matchup for these two characters is quite fitting.

To premise this: It had been a long time since I’ve played Vanguard and my knowledge is very limited, so there will be some mistakes. I’m focusing on using the original and G-series installation, not the V-series or OverDress because I’m a boomer. For this matching, I’ll be using the TWST boys’ unique magic to make my job easier, but for those who hadn’t got their UM, there will be a bonus section.

So, let’s stand up, Vanguard! Ignihyde Edition!

1. Idia Shroud

Clan Chosen: Granblue

Granblue's playstyle focuses on reviving units from the drop zone, whether from mixing cards to increase the number of revivals or soul blasting for stronger allies, even gaining special advantages if a certain card is in the drop zone. 

To this day, I would say that Idia's unique magic may cause a bit of confusion (like putting aside the apparent hereditary nature). But, let's use what we know on the surface. As we know "Gate to Underworld" can open a gate at S.T.Y.X. Headquarters. Like, just from the name and how Ignihyde Arc unfolds, there's a play around life and death. So, it's only natural to give Idia a clan that also has a tie to the 'underworld' or in Vanguard we called it the 'drop zone' to revive cards back to the field.

Clan Chosen: Dimensional Police

Dimensional Police's playstyle focuses on giving mot attacks power to the vanguard and unlocking their skills, which trigger upon having a certain amount of power at the attack. 

Ortho is probably the only character that I would understand if he doesn't have a unique magic (he's a robot and the real Ortho died). So, taking what we know about his robotic nature, how can I not give him a clan that's basically Gundam? Really. That might be the only reason. And considering that Ortho's first answer to a couple of problems is blowing stuff up, I'll give him a clan where powering up the vanguard becomes the focus.

Despite the atmosphere, the darkness around them and the ghost story given beforehand, he finds nothing to be fearful of. It’s fun, thrilling, even to be out and about in a spooky place.

“Did you see something?” He asks in curiosity. The prospect of finding a ghost would normally strike fear into someone, but he would prefer to speak with one if given the chance. He hums, so carefree and not worried about this nonexistent danger. Although, it isn’t the same for the girl beside him.

Ren knows that Asaka is a strong woman. She can stand for herself and do so much more, in and out of Vanguard. He saw the way that her cards adored her and she them. And it always was a sight to behold, watching her fight. So, he has to admit it’s a little strange to see her with a little fear in her eyes.

“You can hold onto me as long as you like.” To reassure her, he moves the arm she’s holding onto only to reach for her hand. He holds onto it with a smile. “Nothing will hurt you out here, you know? I’ll protect you.” While he may not be physically strong, he is still a force to be reckoned with.
