^^^ As an Asian, I find this post very racist since Jedi are inspired by Eastern philosophy and cultures and people have the audacity to say something like THAT. I'm tired of my culture being criticized all the damn time. Can't we just get some acknowledgement instead of criticism?
ah, gosh... what I had to read. And I admit, I stopped halfway, it was too much prejudice in just one place to read through. And yes, it's horribly racist and ignorant. I'm sorry you have to endure that in this fandom, it must be terribly frustrating that so many people can't, or won't, see outside of their small box. Such a narrow view steals the beauty to learn and appreciate other cultures around the world, to see what can unite us, not divide us. The lesson that attachment is not love is one of the brightest that Star Wars tries to teach, the one that carries all the story, that you can love without wanting to possess, that love is about letting go and freeing yourself and your loved ones from the weight of wanting to control things, then I must say again what I thought today after watching the finale of Kenobi series: if you don't understand that it's because you don't want to, it's bad faith because you are willingly misunderstanding the story to make it conform to your bias. But I guess there is no way to argue with people on these arguments, they don't want to see the evidence that is written in canon and in all the interviews George Lucas gave through the years to explain the reality of the Jedi philosophy. I wish I was much better at writing meta, but it's easy to find great meta in our fandom that tells all I wish I can say with better words, but it's not even the point, here. I just want to say that I know it can be hard, sometimes, but my dear anon, be sure you can find friends and fans who really acknowledge and appreciate the Asian and Buddhist influence in SW in the fandom.

I redrew that famous Ophelia painting that I can’t remember who made while posting this at 12 at night. I might get this as a bicep piece.
Googled. It’s John Everett mallais.
