Excerpt from chapter 119 of Underline the Black:

‘I’m coming!’ Ash said. ‘I got a nice cop to agree to valet my car home. Isn’t that cool of him?’ ‘You can’t come! You’re managing the situation here!’ Augus hissed. ‘I’ve always wanted to go on a road trip like this,’ Ash said, like Augus hadn’t replied, getting into the front passenger seat, closing the door. ‘Also, take my word for it. You want me with you? Everyone here has the message now. They’re copacetic, and my team’ll take over. But I know you got a bunch of guys hostage at Hillview, and if I know, then other people know too.’ ‘They tried to kill us,’ Augus said, starting the engine, clearly seeing no point in continuing to argue with Ash. The friendly, sunshine feeling dissipated, and Ash twisted around to look at Gary and Efnisien in the back seat. His sunglasses were still on, but the smile was gone. Efnisien couldn’t see his eyes behind the lenses. ‘How is this Hillview’s first murder?’ Ash said, turning back to face the windscreen, waving and smiling at the onlookers like a celebrity as Augus reversed and then drove away. ‘Not now,’ Augus said, his voice stiff. ‘Gary, are you verbal yet?’

Had to do a quick little drawing of my two all time faves for the day thats in it, Gwyn and Augus. I can’t believe The Fae Tales by @not-poignant has come to an end today. (And what a fantastic end it was)

Deeper into the Woods comic - Release date!!

Finally, I can announce that Deeper into the Woods webcomic will start being published this month, on 26th March! :D

General info about the project for new folks: The comic is an adaptation of the dark fantasy/erotica novella “Deeper into the Woods”, one of the original stories of The Fae Tales Verse, a series created and written by @not-poignant​ (follow and support them!!!)

The comic will be divided in two acts, The Waterhorse and The War General, and every act will be divided in 10-12 scenes. After the intro episode, new pages will be published regularly the 5th, the 15th and the 25th of every month.

How and where you can read the comic:

DitW will be published on the webcomic platform Tapas (both available as mobile app and desktop site). Every completed scene will be also released as a downloable PDF ;)

You can already subscribe to the comic on Tapas, where you can find an introduction episode, with more info about the webcomic and warnings. If you subscribe you will receive a notification when I’ll publish the first pages!

First post on tumblr!! I thought it would be fitting if the first thing I posted would be some fanart of one of my favorite characters from @not-poignant fae tales verse. Augus Each Uisge is such an enjoyable character to read and I’ll definitely be drawing him again.

Uhhh I feel really awkward posting this cus the fic it’s based on is like a decade old buuuttt if I don’t do it now I never will soooo-

Guess who finished binging the canon fae tales series by @not-poignant??? Me! It was like really awesome, and like heart-twisting at times (most of the time actually) and just an overall rollercoaster read, ten-out-of-ten. There were a lot of memorable moments and characters and situations that make the worms in brain really squirm, and to be honest I kinda want to draw a million different things, but I’ll settle on this for now lol.

so, my first art piece for this fandom needs to be angst, obviously, and I really enjoyed this one. I also tried out a couple new brushes, and I actually really felt that this flowed quite nicely. I usually struggle with staying on task but nope not this time. I did struggle with the background, and I amn’t very happy about it but ehhhh. You win some you lose some.

Everything to do with the Raven Prince kinda makes me insane (pos), like his whole character is a delight (like on a meta level, I’m sure that he’s a menace to the characters tho) every time he’s around, and Augus’ whole situation in that court will make me ugly sob if I think too hard on it. It did make me ugly sob when reading actually. He was never going to get a good outcome in that place, especially not as a pawn in game that was so much bigger than him. I’m so glad he got some closure TIP. And a hopeful ending.

the Nightingale genuinely creeps me out, like his whole ‘able-to-turn-into-thousands-of-birds’ thing is just… horrifying to me. Like. I did not know I could be creeped out this much, and that’s without compounding him being an evil fucking monster.

I genuinely love all three of them as characters tho, and just all of Pia’s characters in general! Not a single dull one, like they’re all so compelling and I just want to read about them forever and ever and ever. Spinning them in my head.
