Personality: Tony is just your typical little toddler boy, who is a curious thrill/adventure seeker. He is just ready any form of excitement and yet knows when to sit down and relax. And although Tony can be slightly carefree and mischievous, he has a lot of more common sense than he leads, for a kid. Tony even throws snarks every now and then, most notably just to mess with his big brother Arthur and their friends. Plus Tony seems to have a short temper, especially when it comes to the nonsense of obnoxious and spoiled brats, and all those who wrong his family and friends. He can be a bit protective. And not to mention, surprisingly, Tony can be extremely shy when meeting girls he likes, specifically Fern Walter and Sue Ellen. Although, he later on, he builds his confidence around them. Tony is oblivious when preschool girls have a crush on him. He's just not used to being crushed on. Plus being adopted can be a sensitive topic for Tony when someone tease him about it. Tony, however, resent the fact that David and Jane have favorite D.W. This is also a sensitive topic.

Bio: Tony Read is the adoptive younger brother of the titlcular character: Arthur Read. Tony's birth parents were family-friends of David and Jane Read. However his parents unfortunately passed away due to different circumstances (child birth and car accident).

After the deaths of their friends, David and Jane adopted Tony to honor them. Tony has live a decent life with his adoptive family, mostly with his brother Arthur, who doesn't seem mind too much to take him with him around despite the sibling rivalry between them. D.W., on the other hand, cause trouble for Tony as much as she does with Arthur. However, Tony retaliates by pranking her. Tony can be prideful, which is essentially his downfall. He take pride when it comes to his schemes or skills and talents. He never see it could lead into consequences to bigger ones that are almost too much to handle.

Since Arthur took Tony to hang with his friends ever since Arthur was in the 2nd grade, Tony got along with Buster, Brain, and Binky very well. Although, Tony can't stand Francine's arrogant attitude and Muffy's bratty behavior, all remind him too much of D.W., and how they antagonize his big brother despite being Arthur's "friends". And Tony got make a friend of his when meeting George. He found George to be a fun and interesting guy, and loves his puppet play. And he got acquainted with George's friend Carl. Of course, when Tony first met Fern, he had a huge crush on her. Tony thinks Fern is adorable. Initially he often goes quiet as he's extremely shy when seeing face-to-face with her, and as well as goes hiding. After gaining his confidence to talk to Fern, they became friends. He enjoy mysteries and detective stuff with her, and he doesn't mind scary stuff. And since Sue Ellen moved in to Elwood City, Tony's had the same reaction when meeting a new crush, he was timid around Sue Ellen yet he is interested in her. Tony thinks Sue Ellen is cool as she's brave and knows martial arts. He even ask Sue Ellen for lessons on a couple of moves. Tony thinks Sue Ellen is cute too. They became good friends as well.

Of course Tony does make friends at preschool, like James MacDonald, who they became good friends after Tony leads the conversation and protect him from the Tibble Twin's shenanigans. Emily is another preschooler that Tony made good friends with even back when D.W. doesn't like her being perfect. Yet Tony does tease D.W. that Emily is better than her in every way. Although, Tony does not like Tibble Twins at all, considering how obnoxious and loud they are. Though, of all the kids to bombard with pranks, the Tibble twins are Tony's favorite targets

Trivia: - I figured that if Arthur had a younger brother as suppose to he had a twin brother relationship with Buster and see an older brother in Brain, I thought it would be interesting how he would handle a younger brother. - Plus I wanna have Arthur interact with Fern and George more. So the connection they had with Tony makes it possible. - I also figure that how D.W. would handle against someone who doesn't care she has parental favoritism on her side.

honestly unpopular cpi opinion but really other than the frustrating writing of rookie watching herbert leave with the hot sauce and rory's writing specifically during cadence's adventures, i don't think it's adaptations of the main cast is that egregious (and even then ike i said it's just frustrating, and i don't really think it' ruins cpi!rookie as a character). like i'm not gonna lie, i feel like people would've hated cpi MORE if it didn't have anyone from the original game at all and they all got replaced. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ like did we forget how merry walrus and his party were widely hated because even though he's literally walrus santa and his party is just a blue and white holiday party instead of a red and green one it's not EXACTLY the same players hated the change and he went missing. where is merry, whereee

and honestly even if they did replace gary with a suspiciously similar cpi counterpart named gerry the gizmo guru i guarantee people would've been just as angry, if not more they got replaced with similar characters and would've been like "man, these new characters suck. it should've been AUNT arctic greeting us, not UNCLE arctic!" i've been in the technicolor horse fandom for too long to know how well people react to new casts based off the originals... but what do i know. * sighs wistfully and walks directly into lake *

CP Lore Bits?

Hello! I'm feeling a little sick (Woo! Flu season!/s) and don't really have the energy to focus on irl stuff, so: Boom! Penguin stuff!

Log Line:

Jimmy Arctic, an anxious journalist with ADHD and an unknown need for adventure, is called alongside his friend and bandmate Thunder Poinks, an excitable and passionate musician with ASD and a heart of gold, to join the PSA, as undercover agents, in order to help take a stand against nefarious villains, like Herbert P. Bear, who try to threaten the safety of all penguins and ruin their fun.

Story:

It's divided in three arcs: PSA, EPF, and Post Operation Black Out. Basically, two band bros trying to cut it as secret agents.

World:

The world in my story works a lot like the game, even following the timeline, with only minor tweaks and add-ons.

The island gives an igloo to anyone who moves there, and there are districts in the igloo areas, so you can either move into a particular district or move wherever.

Smaller scale business and establishments exist within the igloo area (supermarkets, clinics, and stuff, essentials you can't find on the main map)

Moderators exist, and they can ban penguins for a lot of the same reasons they did in the game. 'Crap' is the only "cuss" word the characters can use freely. Any other word is a matter of not getting caught. It's not an iron-fist situation, though.

Wigs are glued to the head with a special type of adhesive and penguins who wear them have to treat them like real hair to some extent, but unless they style them themselves, it's a low-maintenance thing.

The color of the feathers doesn't determine a penguin's race or ethnicity, with the exception of brown for fairly obvious reasons. Even then, all brown feathered penguins are black, but not all black characters will have brown color feathers: Example: Aunt Arctic and JPG.

While the color of feathers can be passed down genetically, it's not always the case. A group of penguins can each have a different color of feathers, and be directly related to each other.

Penguins can alter the color of their feathers.

rookie likes to draw, although canonically he isn't very good at drawing, he likes to draw regardless! it helps him pass the time

rookie is not fond of rory at all, he finds him kind of annoying. rory however thinks of rookie like his little brother, and likes to pester rookie a lot whenever rookie is nearby

rookie's igloo was kind of infected by the box dimension's weirdness, thus a lot of his igloo is basically just made of cardboard and is a lot bigger on the inside. however, the outside still remains the same! rookie's weird.. portal igloo

Shawn's early director days were definitely something. He quickly realised he needed to be at the director meetings as himself but quickly realised how hard that would be. His first few months to a year or two was spent going to aunt arctic for advice and he does eventually find a way around his situation!

Emery was born in Dundee, Scotland, the child of a sailor and a cook. Their father, in his younger days, was a merchant sailor who traveled the world and met his wife on one of his voyages around the Americas. Their mother was born in Mexico, met Emery's father while living along the California coast, and left an unsatisfying life to seek something better with her new husband. By the time Emery was born, their father had become a whaler with a bit of a drinking problem who was gone for months at a time. They idolized him growing up, always eagerly waiting for the next time they could see him and hear the stories he had to tell. They had a pleasant enough childhood, being mostly raised by their mother, but always dreamed of going to sea.

Emery's mother died when they were a teen. Their father stayed home for several months afterward, but decided to go back out to sea rather than try to process his grief and deal with his child. Emery was put in the care of a rather strict aunt, with whom they fought constantly. When she started talking about marriage prospects and children, Emery decided enough was enough and snuck out in the night to sign onto a whaling ship. They loved being out at sea, but the work was grueling and they had a miserable time in the Arctic cold. Some of their shipmates, though, had stories to share about sailing down to London. Rather than signing on for another voyage, Emery decided to instead set out for the Neath.

They've always been driven by a thirst for adventure and a love of freedom. They were intrigued by the challenge of trying to hunt a legendary monster, and fell in with revolutionaries along the way (partly because they're drawn to anarchy and partly because they like blowing things up). They were pretty annoyed when their aunt tracked them down to London and showed up to be a nuisance, but they managed to shake her off. They got their own ship as soon as they could and reveled in the ability to go wherever they wanted with the whole zee to explore. They made friends with devils, got a guest room at the Brass Embassy (where it's always pleasingly warm), and lost their soul to the Quiet Deviless. This had the effect of making them even more detached from their emotions than they already had been, but they don't mind. It helps them stay focused on their goals.

Killing the Vake was an unexpectedly rough time for them. They got very fixated on the hunt toward the end, pursuing it at the cost of just about everything else in their life. They had originally thought they might spare Curator Veils because they felt they understood it better than the others. They could take it home as a companion and a sort of living hunting trophy. But the thrill of the hunt overtook them and they rushed through the Order of Days and found themself on the Day of Slaughter with nothing left to do but kill. Realizing the parallels to Veils' own actions took them so much by surprise that they just sat on the ground and dissociated for like, A While, before pulling it together enough to finish the job.

Nowadays, they spend most of their time avoiding as many of their numerous obligations as possible by being at zee. They're a prolific hunter of beasts on land, in Parabola, and at zee. They're making a name for themself as a corsair, after a particularly reckless period of time when they were a frequent visitor to the Fathomking's Court. The sight of their ship on the horizon strikes fear into the heart of zailors and zee-beasts alike.

BULLET POINT BIO.

she was raised by single mom after dad left when she was 11. her dad was cheating with her aunt (her mom’s sister) and when it was exposed, it was quite the town scandal. 

lex is the youngest of five siblings. (pretty much) all of her siblings grew up to be successful in something practical, like doctors, engineers, etc. 

grew into the “black sheep” role rather early on. a rebellious artist with a vulgar streak, lexi was never her mom’s favorite. she tried her best, and lexi knows now that she was hard to parent, but she still hold resentment in her heart for the mom who always wanted perfection from her and never gave her room to breathe.

as a senior in high school, lexi would have done anything to get out of irving. her english teacher suggested she enter a screenplay contest, and she won. an indie production company picked up her first film, an adaptation of kate chopin’s the awakening, and she packed her bags and moved to los angeles without a second thought. she told very few people where she was going, or that she was leaving at all, and only kept in contact with maybe one or two close friends. 

she slowly began to gain popularity in the mainstream as her film began it’s wide release, but her relationship with a young movie star is what really put her on the map, or at least on the front page of the tabloids. lexi and her boyfriend were one of hollywood’s “it” couples for two years, until it was exposed that he had been cheating on her with his costar. 

on the same night her second film, a thinly veiled coming-of-age story about her life in irving, was nominated for this year’s academy awards, her now ex-boyfriend kicked her out of their shared apartment with nothing but a suitcase to her name.

having nowhere else to go, lexi flew home and has been hiding out in irving for about a week. she’s trying to avoid anyone she knew from before she moved, terrified to find out how they felt about their portrayal in her movie.

Superman foils an attempt from Brainiac to bottle Metropolis, restoring Kandor to its proper size in the process and locating it in the Arctic. Around the same time, Jonathan Kent passes away of a heart attack.

After failing to integrate with humanity, the citizens of Kandor use Brainiac’s technology to relocate Kandor to a new planet opposite Earth’s orbit - “New Krypton.”

New Krypton, led by Zod and Ursa, declares war on Earth as the new planet proves to be unstable. Superman and Earth’s heroes drive them off, but not without suffering many losses, which leave Superman as the true last son of Krypton.

2 years ago:  The Kent family leaves Metropolis for an extended period of time, taking a trip across America to reconnect with ordinary people. Eventually, they settle down in Hamilton County, Pennsylvania, a rural area west of Metropolis.

1 year ago:

Superman defeats Darkseid,  who had returned to Earth in search of the Anti-Life Equation, removing his threat from the universe seemingly for good.

Superman receives a warm welcome back to Metropolis when he’s attacked by Hank Henshaw and his Superman Revenge Squad.

Present Day: Clark helps 8-year-old Jon deal with his sudden development of powers similar to his father’s.

Commentary:

Superman’s origin is so iconic that Grant Morrison summed it up in just eight words: “Doomed planet. Desperate scientists. Last hope. Kindly couple.” In light of this, I see no reason to mess with a good thing. That being said, the story of Superman’s public debut has been retold with major differences four or five times now between the various Crises, and that makes things tricky to pin down. 

The version I ended up writing is mostly inspired by Superman: Birthright by Mark Waid. (Sorry, anyone who’s a fan of Clark as Superboy. While I don’t hate the concept, it raises the question of “why doesn’t anyone associate Superboy and thus Superman with Clark?” it doesn’t really bring anything valuable to the table that can’t be put elsewhere in the timeline: the Legion is more associated with Supergirl in this timeline, and Krypto is moved to later on.) His post-Crisis history is mostly intact, although with a few notable omissions, mainly Superman Blue. I hope nobody will miss that too much.

Superman’s history sets the timeline for the rest of the universe - while other heroes’ origins occur before his public debut, he’s the first of the major figures of the Age of Heroes to debut, twenty years prior to the present day. The rest of the Trinity follows within a year of his appearance, along with most of the iconic Silver Age DC heroes. This Superman is forty-five years of age at the current point in the timeline: a seasoned superhero who has saved the world time and time again, but who also lives a simple life as a family man with Lois and Jon.

He may be a Kryptonian by genetics, but at his core, thanks to his upbringing from Ma and Pa Kent, he’s a human - one who happens to have to balance his extraordinary powers and responsibility to the world (wait, is this Spider-Man all of a sudden?) with his alien heritage and the complications derived from such. He’s a champion of the oppressed, standing up for the “little guy” and those who can’t defend themselves against powers both great and small. Out of the Trinity, he best embodies hope - when the situation seems at its most dire, Superman’s the one to keep the faith and rally for one last push. He’s the hero who lands on a rooftop beside someone who’s about to jump and just sits beside them while they make their decision.

As for Superman’s costume, he’s currently sporting the Reborn look, sans trunks. I’m not saying the trunks are outright bad or silly, and envision them as being part of his original costume for certain, but the costume in the header is what he currently uses in this universe.

The Magic School Bus (90's TV Show): Arnold Perlstein [INFP]

Arnold Perlstein is the most timid of Ms Frizzle’s students and the least enthusiastic for her wild field trips due to them being dangerous and scary, often quoting “I knew I should have stayed home today.” (or some varied version of this quote) as a result. Despite this, Arnold is very fond of his teacher, Ms Frizzle, even if he isn’t the most open about it. His loyalty to her is very clear when he stands up to his arrogant cousin, Janet in Lost in Space after she mocks her for being unprepared for a seemingly failed field trip to the planetarium, and then tries to say how much better her teacher is than Ms Frizzle, to which Arnold retaliates “Nobody, is better than Ms Frizzle.” and even gets Ms Frizzle to stop the bus and asks her whether she can take them to a bigger planetarium (outer space) when Janet tells him to “Prove it!” (Fi-Te). He further proves his loyalty to her when he stands in as her defense attorney after Keesha accuses Ms Frizzle of stealing her cucumber and turning it into a pickle. He even takes his job a bit too seriously as a result. (In a Pickle)

Arnold never tries to force his opinions on others, nor does he let other people change his opinions. He is generally a kind and good-hearted boy who always tries to do the right thing by his friends. He takes it rather hard when he feels he’s let them down. Generally he doesn’t talk much about his feelings even when they obviously run deep, such as when he mentions that he can’t go along to “The Nutcracker” ballet with his best friend, Wanda and the class because he has to catch a train with his dad to see his sick grandma, who is currently being looked after by his mum. He could have mentioned how worried he is about his grandma, or how disappointed he is that he has to spend the first day of Hanukkah on a train instead of going to “The Nutcracker” with his friends, but he simply states the facts and when his friends express concern over his grandma, and him having to spend Hanukkah on a train, he states simply “That’s just the way it is.” (Fi)

Arnold does feel the need to be prepared as shown in All Dried Up where for the first time he’s willing to go on the field trip to the desert because he’s prepared for it, e.g. a whole bag full of “essentials” like a survival guide, water canteens, and food like Mallow Blasters in a huge camping back-pack. He’s a responsible student, feeling the need to prioritise writing school reports over going to “Waterland” (originally believed to be the waterpark, but is actually the original water-cycle) in the episode Wet All Over (Te).

Unfortunately despite his attempts to be organised, it’s not exactly his strong suit and often leads to clumsy and not well-thought out consequences. The most infamous example being when he accidentally leaves the tap on in the girls’ bathroom after a girl he likes, Tiffany, catches him in there and gets the wrong idea (he was actually collecting water for his and Wanda’s waterworks project). He leaves behind Ms Frizzle’s key in the bathroom door after he runs out in embarrassment. As a result, he practically floods the entire school, and leaves the class stuck as water as the spare key was turned into water too. (inferior Te)

Most of Arnold’s actions are guided by his feelings, and while he’s usually cautious, he has had some more reckless moments as well, such as in “Gets Lost in Space”when he calmly fails to convince Janet to come back to earth and leave her pile of space proof behind. He decides to show her some tough love and prove to her what will happen if she stays behind with all her stuff by removing his space helmet and getting his whole head frozen as a result. (Fi-Te)  

Perceiving Functional Axis:

Extroverted Intuition (Ne) / Introverted Sensing (Si)

Despite Arnold’s nervous personality, he’s actually a pretty open-minded character who doesn’t find it too hard to improvise.  In Shows and Tell he is supposed to bring his prized rock collection for Dorothy Ann to show on the live International Show and Tell competition and tell interesting anecdotes about them. Instead he brings an artifact (a colourfully webbed hoop) discovered  by his famous archaeologist great-aunt, Arizona Joan, thinking that it’s “a real winner” because it holds a lot of significance to him (see Fi) and because of the many adventures his great-aunt had in discovering the artifact.

Though originally nervous, Arnold shows he’s pretty good with hypothesising on impulse, coming up with many hypotheses like a shield, a fishing net or even a celebratory hat, and then throwing them away when it becomes clear to him that they are not plausible. Through observing Liz throw an identically decorated and blunt arrow through the hoop as it rolls across the ground, he finally comes up with the hypothesis that it is actually a game of hoops and arrows, a similar game to a dart and arrow board. While he admits this is the most-likely guess, he knows this isn’t for sure. Hypothesising and improvising on stage seem to come more easily to him compared to lower Ne, D.A who needs to be prepared before she can talk about the artifact on stage.

Ironically, most of Arnold’s questions result in field trips (much to his dismay), such as him wondering where the hot went in his hot cocoa in In the Artic. He shows his most innovative side in this episode where he takes charge and comes up with inventive new ways of getting his class and the bus warm again in the Arctic, such as exercise to warm the students up and building an igloo around the bus to trap in the heat. He uses this same principle later when he makes a special insulated tea-cosy to keep the heat in his hot cocoa mug. Though he could have used the more practical thermostat, he shows his more creative, personal style in the tea cosy. Either way, Arnold is pretty good at coming up with ideas when he puts his mind to it. (Ne)

Arnold is a guy who likes to stick to what he’s comfortable with and certainly knows what he likes. His biggest passion is rocks, which has led to him being the youngest member of the club, ‘Great Rock Admirers’ National Institute of Tectonics Experts or GRANITE for short. He also has a weakness for his favourite snack foods including infamous carrot-centred Sea Weedies that turn his skin orange in Goes Celluar.

He’s proud of his Jewish heritage and religion as shown by his celebration of Hanukkah in the The Holiday Special. His confidence in his great-aunt’s aritifact being a winner in Shows and Tell shows he not only values his family legacy, but also has a great respect for historical artifacts themselves. His respect for history and of course rocks was also shown in The Busasaurus where he risks everything to protect a dinosaur egg fossil (turned back into a real egg) and return it to the owner, Dr Skeladon. A/N: For the longest time I actually considered ISFJ for Arnold due to thinking his anxious personality might be the work of a high Si and inferior Ne. Plus I could tell he’s a feeler. Still, after re-watching episodes like Shows and Tell, I felt pretty convinced he had higher Ne. @briarosabelle confirmed that she thought the same thing, as did @creativefictionlover . THOMAS HARTNELL, A.B.

(March 12th, 1822 - ??)

Thomas Hartnell was born to Thomas and Sarah Hartnell on or near March 12th of 1822. He was baptized on May 12th of that year in the St. Mary Magdalene Church of Gillingham, Kent. The second of five surviving children, he was particular close to his eldest brother, John, and his younger sister, Mary Ann. Thomas came from a large family of shipwrights and sailors, and ended up engaging the latter career. The Hartnells lived in an area called Nelson Road & East Row in Gillingham, near the Chatham Dockyard on the River Medway where Thomas’ father was employed as a shipwright.

The elder Thomas Hartnell died on April 23rd, 1832, when his younger son was ten years old. Presumably with the family under some financial pressure, Thomas joined the Navy at age fifteen. On April 14th, 1837, he signed on to the HMS Brune, a refitted 40-gun French frigate formerly known as the Thétis. The Brune was docked at the Chatham Dockyard and served as a learning vessel for new sailors. Thomas served on the Brune until December 23rd. The next year, the Brune was permanently dismantled.

The day after Thomas signed off the Brune, he was enlisted aboard the HMS Volage, a 28-gun Sixth-rate frigate. At the same time, later Franklin Expedition Lieutenant Graham Gore signed on as well, as did John Strickland, Thomas’ possible first cousin. Just as well, Thomas’ tenure on the Volage provided a physical description in the ship’s Description Book, kept in order to properly identify sailors in instances of desertion or death. In the book, Thomas is described as being 5′8″ with “fair” eyes and light hair, which has been inferred to have been red, as his younger brother Charles’ hair had been. Thomas also had his initials tattooed on his right arm. 

Their time on the Volage was destined to be an exciting and terrifying one, as the Volage would engage in the Aden Expedition in which the British Navy, through force, captured the Yemeni port of Aden. After numerous skirmishes, the Volage famously engaged in the Battle of Chuenpi on November 3rd, 1839, during the First Opium War in China. The Volage and its blockade partner, the HMS Hyacinth, fired the first shots of the battle, accidentally directed against another Royal Navy ship. In May of 1841, Thomas signed off on the Volage, and four days later, signed on to the HMS Tortoise. Four months later, his oldest brother, John, would sign onto the Volage. 

Now promoted to able-bodied seaman due to his years of experience, Thomas’ time on the Tortoise was high-energy and adventurous. The Tortoise first served as a convict transportation ship to Van Diemen’s Land, now modern-day Tasmania. At this time, Sir John Franklin was Lieutenant-Governor of Van Diemen’s Land, and undoubtedly knew of the Tortoise’s arrival, if he did not outright meet with its captain and crew. In all, the Tortoise carried 400 convicts and 103 officers charged with maintaining peace aboard the ship. After leaving the convicts, the Tortoise was assigned with gathering kauri-wood spars for masts in New Zealand. In 1842, the Tortoise was involved in a conflict against the Te Arawa tribe after Major Bunbury of the 80th Regiment of Foot drew up a force of about 40 to 50 men, including some sailors from the Tortoise, to participate in the expedition. It is unknown if Thomas Hartnell was one of these men.

The Tortoise returned to Chatham Dockyard in winter of 1843, and Thomas paid off on it on December 11th of that year. He did not join another Navy ship until early 1845.

In spring of 1845, Thomas, with his older brother and John Strickland, signed on to the HMS Erebus as ABs. They were among the first of the regular crew to sign on and received double pay for Arctic service with the Franklin Expedition. Both Thomas and John had their pay allotted to their mother, Sarah while Strickland had his pay allotted to his mother, Ann, possibly John and Thomas’ aunt. 

By November of 1845, John Hartnell had fallen deathly ill. On January 4th, 1846, he passed away from complications related to tuberculosis, pneumonia, and a severe zinc deficiency. The situation among the men surrounding his death is unknown, but what is known is that John was buried in one of Thomas’ shirts–a finely-made blue-and-white striped shirt with a handmade string button and T.H. 1844 embroidered in red thread on the shirttail. John was also well-groomed at the time of his burial, with his hair combed, beard trimmed, and nails cleaned and cut. Presumably, as according with some Navy tradition, Thomas would have had a large part of the responsibility for preparing his brother’s body. Also in accordance with tradition, he would have put the first shovelful of gravel onto John’s coffin when his brother was buried on Beechey Island.

What happened to Thomas after this point is so far unknown. Like the majority of the Franklin Expedition members, he was presumed to have died on King William Island after the Erebus and her sister, HMS Terror were frozen in after three years. Whether Thomas died earlier or later, during the infamous “death march” is also unknown. As of yet, Thomas’ remains have not been identified. 

When it became apparent that John and Thomas were not to return home, Thomas’ younger brother, Charles, fought bitterly to establish himself as head of his brother’s estate. Due to a Crown debt, John’s pay and medals could not be obtained–and would not be until 1986. Charles did eventually succeed and the Admiralty reluctantly directed Thomas’ pay and medals to him. Charles would have a hand in establishing his brothers’ good reputation and memory in Gillingham, and may have erected a headstone in their honor in the St. Mary Magdalene Churchyard, even though their true remains were thousands of miles away.
