A WIP but behold, the WIR/King Candy shrine so far. Would of waited until my stickers from Japan came in but they haven’t found my package in 3 weeks, so who knows how long that’ll take.

Just gonna have a little ranty rant

So it's fairly known if you follow me that I really love Evanescence.

I'm just saying I'm super disappointed with their decision to perform with skillet as an opener.

I just feel like you can't play it both ways you can't want to be seen as an LGBT ally and also have someone who is a Christian nationalist who has said a lot of anti LGBTQ stuff on the same stage. I'm not going to be in an audience with those fans. My humanity and my rights are not a difference of opinion. People who believe they should have dominion over this country because of their religion are not safe people. I'm disappointed evanescence is giving them a platform.

As much as Amy wants to talk about using her voice I think she's too afraid to alienate people and because of that she won't create an actual safe space for marginalized fans.

My friend Michael was able to get me an autograph from Vincent Rodriguez III, and it finally arrived today! Gah, I’m so happy rn!! ^v^

(and relieved, ‘cause I’m pretty sure the anxiety and worry about this potentially getting lost in the mail was driving both me and my roommate - sorry again, Tess - crazy, asdfghjkl)

Anyway, I’m not normally into autographs, but this was a special case both because I really like Ansel and his VA, and because as I said this was a gift from a friend ^v^

See my issue with this song is that it makes me want to buy byredo perfume...and the issue with that is that it's expensive and I don't like to waste my money on trivial things. Not to mention I hardly ever use perfume due to the chemicals in most. Yet whenever this song comes on I wonder...

Two years ago today, I made the 3 1/2 hour drive north to Saratoga Springs for the opening of the X-Files Preservation Collection. Show runner Chris Carter was there for the ribbon cutting and was very pleasant (if very quiet) with everyone.

So I met Chris Carter(!!!), who arched his eyebrows behind his covid mask when I handed him my Millennium album (“You’re the first person to bring something from Millennium all day”) and his pilot X-Files script. I made sure to tell him how much Frank Black (and Lance's performance) has meant to be over the years and he gave me a thoughtful, and solemn look for a few beats before signing stuff.

“What was your name again? I’m sorry.”

“Justin.”

“Good to meet you, Justin. Thanks for coming… and I love that shirt.”
