Thinking about a soulbound (or just general) OC.

Sister and Brother, Amelia (she/her) and Konrad (he/they), the twin gunmage. (their shared designation being "Ae-Kay")

When young, the two were abducted by an evil wizard for their magical power, forced to be the wizard's apprentice.

Eventually, after learning some magic but enduring years of abuse, Konrad was able to luck out and kill the wizard, but was mortally wounded in the process.

Amelia, the more magically gifted of the two, bound Konrad's soul into a crystal which she carries on her neck, allowing him to "Front" in her body, as thanks for saving her.

Amelia joined up with the Order of Azyr after proving her loyalty to Sigmar, and hopes to one day find a way to grant Konrad a new body. Konrad really wishes she would let him go and retire from the frontline, but he helps where he can with her mission.

Amelia is kind but has a cruel streak, a master of artifice and alchemy. Konrad uses spell-craft to improve gunplay and defence, playing the role of a "arrogant rogue" but cares more then he lets on.

Amelia crafts specialist bullets and guns for Azyr Agents, often going into the field herself to gather data and materials.

I have some ideas for the two. Might use them in fanfic later.

If I use the two in Soulbound, it would be as part of the Support NPCs for a party. The "Upgrade" merchant, if you catch my drift.

Amelia is a trans woman, and Konrad's relationship to gender is Complicated after losing his flesh.

The two were 9 when abducted, and 17 when Konrad killed the wizard. In current AOS cannon the two would be 33.

The Wizard was not Chaos or Nagash related. Renegade science wizard.

I was going to do something cuter for this prompt but this is likely as 'fluffy' as they get.
