I’ve always been an Eddie was lying when he told Buck he didn’t remember the shooting truther. And with what we know now and what it seems like happened with storylines being stifled, it occurred to me the other day that I wonder if there will be an opportunity to re-visit that and for Eddie to admit he remembers more than he let on, and why he lied about it (it made him realize feelings for Buck he wasn’t ready to admit.) I think even if they were going that direction anyway, Eddie would have waited regardless knowing Buck wasn’t in a place mentally or emotionally to receive it at that time (post lighting strike).

No, but honey, I LIVE HERE. My Eddie fell first essay only works if Eddie was lying and until the show explicitly tells me Eddie didn't know, I will pretend he does. They are in a perfect spot to drag Eddie out of the closet and with Chris being gone, they can also bring up the will and force Eddie to confront what it means. There's the presumed dead Eddie spec going around, I would love it because it would force a bunch of conversation. The Buck drowning fic I'm writing has Eddie telling Buck "you needed me to tell you would feel alive again, you didn't need me to tell you I'm in love with you" because it is the feeling of the scene in a sense you? That Eddie is saying what he thinks Buck needs to hear. And that includes not talking about the way Buck is the only reason Eddie is alive and Eddie reached for him when he thought he was gonna die. A trauma conversation that leads to them getting together would go SO HARD. It's literally all I want in life. Make them both sit down and be vulnerable and admit to the things that hurt them, like the shooting and the lightning and being the one who survived the situation, admit that just because they didn't almost die, it doesn't mean they walked away unharmed and just FUCKING GET THEIR SHIT TOGETHER.

(I have a teeny tiny migraine so I can't sleep, being awake rn is not necessarily my choice.) While I wait for the Tylenol to kick in so I CAN sleep, I'm gonna read this.
