- i think it's way too convenient for everybody involved if sento is katsuragi's murderer. they're trying to push the plot into doubting sento, but i'm not really convinced... it's about as believable as kuroto's acting during that one episode

- sento's voice when he talks 'seriously'/calmly is... umm.. hmm.... (it's really nice)

- i think it's interesting that both of them are summoned to katsuragi's place and they're both conveniently the only ones to resist the effects of the concentrated gas that turns people into smash. katsuragi is also the scientist focusing on gas research, so maybe he injected the both of them some sort of trial antidote?

- sento and banjo are usually smart on their own rights, but when they get together their iq cancels out

For the sake of not filling up op's activity, I'll post my response here. I'm responding to this post here. And boyyyyyyyyyy is there a lot to unpack there. That said (in case op reads this) I would like first and foremost to thank you for being (moderately) reasonable and respectful. Even tho you did overgeneralize quite a bit (which is a logical fallacy) and make a few assumptions, you didn't shout expletives or call me a "cultist p*do" so I'll thank you for that.

Two more things before I start:

Never. Read. A. Bible. Verse. You take something out of context and you can justify any thing. But the Iliad is actually about the destructive power of rage. Which you only know if you read it correctly. Same with the Scriptures.

It's Ancient Jewish Meditation Literature. And you need to know what those 4 words means because otherwise you will be reading the bible entirely wrong. It's Ancient (i.e. written FOR us but not TO us). It's Jewish (written in Hebrew or by Aramaic/Greek writers thinking in Hebrew; written in a distinctive Near Eastern Style). It's for Meditation (from a word meaning "too mutter". You are to meditate or mutter under your breath the Scriptures day and night for a lifetime). And it's literature (it's art. Divinely inspired art. But art nonetheless. There is an overarching narrative, symbolic key, theme and goal).

musically? I like their carrying the banner, king of new york, and santa fe a lot. but most of these kids weren’t professionals, which does give the stage production a better quality. still, they worked with what they had. 7/10

Since disney is gonna make a live action adaptation of pretty much every movie of theirs, do you think they have to balls to adapt the hunchback of notre dame?

Cuz like sure, any og fairytale they adapted they always changed to make it more kid safe, but those stories were still made for kids. The hunchback of notre dame never was though, and even in the disney adaptation we still have one of the most terrifying villains to exist in a Disney movie: Frollo. Because Frollo is not an hungry singing lion, or a hot octopus lady, he is a corrupt, racist judge, set on excuting all the Romani people in Paris and has a whole song on wanting to r*pe one of them (while also damning her for her refusal). Would they keep him the same or completely change his character so he's just hellbent on killing Esmeralda???

On that note: what about Esmeralda? Because the amount of times she and the romani people are reffered to as the slur is a lot. (And while I doubt they would) if they do put it in and claim historical accuracy HOOOOO BOY that's not good. When it comes down to it, I make a very valiant attempt to not be repetitive in my choice of words and body language. However, I've noticed a pattern in which the highest and most intimate demonstrations of love is the simple pressing together of foreheads.

The action is quick but allows two people to hide from the world from a few moments, and it isn't possessive or in your face like making out or bear hugs. It is also both platonic, familial, and romantic at the same time. Everyone is capable of love, especially the love of Agape which transcends all barriers. I am, by nature, not a tactile person. I do not like overt romantic gestures and despise PDA. I am also claustrophobic, so hugs are a big no-no. But pressing a forehead with someone else?

Touching foreheads immediately tells you three very important things: There is mutual love. There is mutual respect. There is mutual trust.

Nothing else needs to be said. Is it not enough to know that two people love each other without having to specify if they are child and parent, siblings, best friends, or lovers? Is it simply not enough to love deeply without a measured cost behind it?

It works in any situation, as well. It works in a safe environment, in a public environment. In a dangerous situation where you must be quiet, in a situation where there is no time to say proper goodbyes, in a situation where you have all the time in the world.

Touching foreheads is a universal expression of love.

if there’s one thing you should know about specs, it’s that he’s a runner. I don’t mean, like, aw, he runs in his free time, I mean shit goes wrong, and he’s OUT (she’s a runner, she’s a track star). he’s loyal, for sure, but only to people, never places.

he’s not the first newsie to run away, not at all (lookin at you, finch), but he’s the first to run and KEEP RUNNING. this habit started young, younger than it should’ve, really, when his dad turned physically abusive. he took it to an extent, waited it out a couple months to see if anything would (could) get better, and then something just. snapped. then- poof! gone.

of course, he picked up some things along the way. habits, items, people. he found his glasses on the street once, plopped ‘em on his face, and went, “woahhhhh” (they’re not perfect, but they’re the best he’s got, and that’s enough for him). every time he sees a wagon, he’ll hop the back, no matter where it’s going, because a rest for his feet are a rest for his feet, and he’s grateful.

he met jack kelly when he first crossed into new york, and accidentally stumbled upon a bronx newsie who was having a rough day and wanted to work it out with his fist. jack stepped in, and specs has considered himself indebted ever since, going so far to even join the manhattan newsies.

is it where specs is going to spend the rest of his life? no, probably not. and the boys know that. but for now, they’re his home, his family, and specs is taking a break from running.
