Tulloch Castle is located in the town of Dingwall in the Highlands of Scotland.  Over the years, it has served as a family home for members of the Bain family and Clan Davidson.

Tulloch Castle likely dates to the mid 16th century, when Duncan Bane (Bain, Bayne) was granted the barony of Tulloch in 1542.

n the 18th century however, ownership of the castle changed hands. Kenneth Bayne, 8th Laird of Tulloch, sold the estate to his cousin, Henry Davidson, in January 1762. On Henry’s death in 1781 Tulloch was inherited by his younger brother Duncan Davidson. He was in turn succeeded by his son Henry, grandson Duncan  and great-grandson Duncan Henry Caithness Reay Davidson ), who was the father of the last Davidson of Tulloch, Duncan.

The castle passed out of Davidson ownership in 1917 when the last direct descendant of this family, Duncan Davidson, died and left the castle to his daughter and her son, Colonel Angus Vickers, of the Vickers aircraft company. After serving as the Vickers’ family home for several years, and as a hospital for casualties of Dunkirk in 1940, Tulloch Castle was purchased by the local education authority in 1957. It was used as a hostel for students from the west coast of Scotland who were studying at Dingwall Academy until 1976.

After this, the castle fell into disrepair until it was renovated and converted into a hotel by local family, the MacAulays, in 1996. Now part of a hotel chain, Tulloch Castle is used as a hotel and conference centre. It played host to the official Clan Davidson Gathering in October 2007.

There have been several claims that Tulloch Castle is haunted. Visitors and hotel staff have reported witnessing apparitions in the form of a young girl and a middle aged lady. One of the ghosts is said to be a “Green Lady”. It is alleged that a portrait in the great hall is of her – believed to be a daughter of Duncan Davidson the 4th laird of Tulloch also known as “The Stag”.

did you like the who killed amy storyline overall?

I had so many issues with it warning essay incoming

Amy was a good person she endured horrible horrible abuse her sister was murdered she had a really rough go of things.They didn’t have to kill Amy to write off Ashley but no they chose to kill her because they 1. wanted an excuse to write Kieron off for maternity leave  2.because BK is obsessed with murder and 3. because someone at hollyoaks jacks off to people in Ste’s orbit dying so he experiences man pain and sympathy from the audience.And frankly I was already damn tired when it started Amy was villianised because she was taking the kids away from Ste.Ste had not been a stable parent for the past three years he provided when he could but Amy had been raising the kids she was giving them stability.

It felt like a repeat of Will and Texas she died on her wedding day after learning from her husband it was all a lie.

Amy was literally murdered because Ryan had internal homophobia?????wtf.The gays of the village forever did Amy Barnes dirty bar Doug.

The hero in Amy Barnes murder was the man who physically abused her for months cut off her hair and hit her whilst she was pregnant.I would of been slightly less angry if it was Mike someone who had to process for a second time that he was tricked by his daughters murderer how did he not lose it.And the accomplice who supported it was Glenn, a abusive gangsta who later on abused Grace a mother as well.

Amy was an iconic character and she really had no focus on her death  it was a whodunnit and because Ste was in the frame it was poor Ste narrative instead.

They had Kathy Barnes shoot Ste look she did try to kidnap Leah and send human faeces to her family once but they really just threw her under the bus for more Ste sympathy.

I’d also argue they did the same with Harry despite me liking the character development from the Amy plot it was all stupidly constructed.

the whole Amy murder plot dragged on for AGES only for Ryan to be swept away by water

The only thing I liked from the Amy plot was Harry’s character development and that was at the expense of Amy who really was the expense of Ste so I hated it.
