Let Me Love You × Primis! Richtofen x Reader
Huahuahua
I decide to write a Richtofen x reader since I saw someone wanting more (Richtofen x reader hua)
Reader is gender neutral and is German :D
No warnings, just a lot of fluff (I think. Chaotic doesnt know if she is writing fluffc correctly. She also doesnt know why she talks in third person)
I have no idea where this is going to be taken place (I have only played bo2 origins, have never played bo3 nor bo4 which is a tragedy) so like, imagine it's one of your favorite maps 🤷‍♀️
<story begins nowwww rah>
You notice the German sitting by his lonesome on a bench, his notes spread out all over the floor and his face in his hands. He's also been noticeably stressed this past week, struggling to stay alive as well as finding a way to end this horrible nightmare.
You and Edward had worked together as scientists, so you knew little things about him the others did not. For example, how he chewed his hands when he was nervous, how his eyebrow twitched when he was irritated, a small smile when he secretly is excited. You knew a lot more about him than yourself.
But one thing you did know, was that you were hopelessly in love with the doctor. Like, puppy love. And the others knew it too. They would constantly tease you about it. Even right in front of him! Either Edward was oblivious, or he was too busy thinking to notice. It drives you mad how smart, but so dumb, he is.
With a quick contemplation, you stride over to him quietly, attempting to not startle him. You sit down carefully, watching him.
Edward must've sensed your presence because he looks up from his hands. "Oh, hallo, Y/n."
You gnaw on your lip. "Was die Sache?" What is the matter?
Edward watches you as closely as you watch him. "Nichts. It's just... been overwhelming lately. The others are trusting me less and less." He gives a tired smile.
You place a comforting hand on his shoulder. "They're just getting cold feet. They have been acting a lot different since we first met them."
He snorts. "Ja, they went from 'I want to visciously murder you and bury you under gallons of cement' to 'I just want to squeeze your throat for a little'."
You giggle into your other hand. "Progress!"
You two laugh with each other for a little before you both go silent.
"Eddie..." you begin, going back to chewing your lip.
He hums in response, his beautiful eyes flitting away.
"I want you to know that ich..." Ich liebe dich. I love you. "...i care about you. A lot. And I want to make sure you and the others' well-beings are... well, good. Let me take care of you."
His eyes latch back onto yours. You realize you two are only inches apart, and it makes your ears go warm with some embarrassment.
After a moment, he goes, "Okay."
You nod with a nervous smile. "Okay. First, we have to put these stress-inducing notes away." You kneel on the floor to pick them up and he instantly crouches beside you.
"It's okay, I got them-" Edward quickly says, not wanting to put you through all the trouble.
"It's alright. I don't mind," you practically chirp. And you genuinely didn't.
Your hands brush against his and in unison, both of your guys' hands jerked back as if ya'll touched some hot water. You blush profusely, refusing to meet his gaze. You take the pile from him and set it back on a shelf for later.
You sit back on the bench and he does the same. Silence again.
You turn towards him, drawing a leg up to face Edward. With a blush heating your face, you hold your arms out. Edward blinks at you, confused.
"It's proven by other scientists that hugs decrease stress," you explain quickly, face on fire. "So... bring it in."
Was it just you, or is his cheeks dusted with pink? He hesitantly wraps his arms around you, feeling stiff at first. But when you did the same, he visibly untensed, actually pulling you close and burying his face into the crook of your neck. You squeeze him, covering your face in his chest and inhaling his scent. He has a certain musk to you, not at all stinky (surprising, given the circumstances) but it was one you could distinguish from Dempsey, Nikolai, and Takeo. He smelled like... home. And everything you could ever want.
Edward mumbles something, stirring you out of your thoughts. "Hmm?"
"Danke, liebling," he mumbles, making your hairs rise. Darling? A pet name? "You are always so kind to me, ever since we met. How can I ever repay you?"
"You don't have to," you reply softly, resting your chin on his shoulder so your voice wouldn't be muffled. "All you have to do is stay alive for me. That's all I ever want."
Edward sighs again, but contently. Without warning, he drags you into his lap and you release a squeak of surprise. Your hands go to his chest and you gaze down at him with fiery cheeks. Edward's eyes look up at you, his own face a little pink.
"Oh, liebling," he whispers, one hand on your waist and the other going to your cheek. You lean into his hand with a soft whine. You wanted to be touched like this by him for the longest while. To be in such an intimate moment with Edward.
"How did I deserve someone so perfect like yourself?" he whispers to himself, staring at you like you were the most beautiful thing he's ever seen.
"Everyone deserves a little love," you whisper, leaning forward a bit. His eyes widen a bit. "Even you, Eddie."
"How can you be so sure? Everyone is convinced that I..." Edward trails off.
"I don't know who "everyone" is," you say with a gentle smile, "but they're wrong. I love you Eddie. I've always have."
Then you connect your lips with his. Edward's eyes went round, then softened, eyes fluttering shut as he cups your face with both hands, kissing back. His lips were so soft. You figured it would've been rough, but it was soft like a pillow. You sigh into the kiss, coiling your hands around his neck.
You both seperate for air, studying each other's eyes. Edward says softly, "I love you too, mein liebling." He brushes a thumb across your lip. "But, you should stop biting on your lip so often. It's too pretty to be bleeding."
You blush hard, hiding yourself in his chest again. "Shut up."
BONUS
"What did I tell you?" Dempsey whisper-shouts, shoving Nikolai's shoulder.
"I figured it would've taken them longer," the Russian bear grumbles.
Takeo opens and closes his hand, expectant. "Give it up, Russian."
Nikolai grumbles some more and slaps an item into Takeo's hands. "This is ridiculous."
<END OF STORY YIPPEE!>
hoped u enjoy!!

Peter McCain is such an interesting character as he in practice is essentially a living plot hook, despite in text being a real nifty guy.
He was a spy in Group 935, alongside Harvey Yena, for the Americans. That's already a pretty cool backstory, except by the time we, the players and therefore the audience, come in he's already been outed and needs to be extracted. He serves as Dempsey's plot hook, his "damsel in distress". He directly leads to Dempsey's capture by hitting him with the ol' Your Princess is in Another Castle. Though, by the time of his [Dempsey's] formal introduction in Shi no Numa, Peter is already dead. After that, he no longer has much effect on the narrative other than set up and set dressing. In BO1 he is almost entirely forgotten about, with the most influence he has being Richthofen's paranoia about spies in 935, which Yena uses to his advantage to get Maxis to babysit him.
(and maybe the one recording in Call of the Dead where Richthofen refers to Dempsey as a spy, perhaps implying that he has confused him for McCain.)
I'm not even going to dwell on his BO3 cameo. Just know that I don't like it.
BO4, for all its narrative flaws, was SO RIGHT in bringing McCain back, even if it was kind of an asspull. [pretty much all the writing in BO4 was an asspull but hnnngrh] Now, he's alive and is interacting with the narrative.
He gets ress'd with *visions* of the Great War [but they subside for some reason?? Despite him being pretty much the only dude to be directly affected by the Elemental Shard :/] and joins Broken Arrow to work alongside his former handler, Cornelius Pernell. Peter gets to witness his descent into madness and even pulls an intervention as he calls the Department of Defense to remove Pernell when Peter believes that he's become too unstable to lead. Which is AWESOME! Peter is almost directly responsible for Pernell's immediate ascension into the Avogadro and his confrontation with the DoD, and the presumed reason for why Camp Edward is in disarray. HUGE ramifications for my boy Peter.
Of course, he doesn't get to see it, as he is promptly locked in solitary confinement and then booted into an ADAM Unit before all that happens. His narrative influence is understandably minimal, until the events of Alpha Omega.
To be entirely honest here, I could write an entire different post about Peter in AO, but to be as succinct as possible, he essentially just gives Rushmore the thumbs up about the Gaggle of Idiots, gives Ultimis Dempsey some character depth if he's present, and then ponders the orb. I mean, becomes the orb and then fucks off into who knows where.
The POINT I'm trying to illustrate here is that Peter McCain was a character best described as missed potential. He is either killed off or otherwise incapacitated before he can really do anything of major importance. He was an on-the-run spy who could've been a running side character the way 935 personnel were, but instead he is killed parachuting. Now, Peter was likely retconned into being the dead body and Treyarch didn't expect to have the sprawling narrative they ended up with. This is still WaW story-telling. I can cut some reasonable slack.
The BO4 treatment, however, is entirely inexcusable. Now, I have a bit of a bone to pick with BO4's writing that deserves a series of posts, but it was glaringly obvious that Peter was being set up for something important, some "unfinished business". Hell, Rushmore refers to him as "someone very important to humanity's future". And then the very next map, Tag der Toten, ends the entire storyline. Of course, he could always come back through the Dark Aether, with a possible explanation being his interaction with both the Elemental Shard and his soul residing within the Elemental Orb at the time of the universe's destruction allowed him to withstand the Agarthan Device's erasure. It's still somewhat of an asspull, but it has some logical and narrative backing, so I think this outcome could slide.
Will that happen? Probably not. Do I hope so? Absolutely. My call to action for this essay? make Peter McCain content my boy deserves it.

Embleme mastodonte bo2 zombie series#
Some in the post’s comments are even against them returning, claiming that these custom emblems are a “double edged sword,” with some choosing to create inappropriate images. Read more: Black Ops Cold War Standoff map change causes big debate.Of course, the custom emblems from previous Black Ops games were fairly controversial, as players would often create things a little too explicit. The argument is that these season pass emblems aren’t creative enough for players to express themselves, wanting more for player identification and customization. This means that players are given emblems in the season passes, which can be various things. Read more: JGOD explains which Warzone barrels you should be using for Cold War Assault Riflesīlack Ops Cold War has taken on a seasonal format with its integration with Warzone.Reddit user AllergicToAnime put a post up expressing the wish for custom emblems to return while also giving their reasons.
Embleme mastodonte bo2 zombie series#
One thing Treyarch is yet to bring back to the series is the infamous custom emblems, which allowed players to create their own individual emblems to show off. xd.Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has done a pretty good job at making people feel nostalgic about previous Treyarch titles, but some players are now asking for the classic custom emblem system.įrom r emastered maps to classic weapons, Treyarch’s latest Call of Duty has stayed true to its Black Ops roots, giving players who are familiar with the franchise a sense of comfortability. However they come way too quickly, anything before round 40 or 50 shouldn't be THAT hard jeez. Bosses weren't as good as bo1 & 2, just keep spawning more and more, which I understand why, it's to make it harder the higher in rounds you go so things aren't so easy as in the first black ops games. I absolutely LOVED the maps and weapons, but hated the extensive easter eggs you had to do in order to do basic things such as pack-a-punch. Both multiplayer and zombies felt worse than before. No but seriously, I felt like bo3 wasn't as good as the first 2 by a longshot. Why I said that I hope bo4 doesn't flop is because I truly don't, duh. I'd love to see Five, Buried, Die Rise, Call of The Dead & Mob of The Dead. (Anything beyond this is my own opinion and isn't important)Īlso while i've mentioned it, I personally hope that treyarch will continue to remaster old maps they've done for bonus dlc's such as the one we got on Bo3, Zombie Chronicles.
Embleme mastodonte bo2 zombie mods#
There aren't that many mods yet sadly, but there are some amazing ones released that'll guarantee more fun on classic treyarch maps, custom zombies or/and multiplayer! Anyway, hopefully this will help you get custom maps (this collection will be updated) easily without having to go through 1200+ maps in the workshop. Would also love to see some of my favorite WaW maps come to bo3. Hopefully in the future there'll be more creators who can and are willing to work on a map for a longer period of time to make it epic. So far there isn't that many, only something near 150 custom maps that're even worth looking at(in-game). This is a collection of, what I personally believe, are the best Custom Zombies & Mods in the whole workshop.

Also, If you don't mind me asking.
What made Savannah Mason grow on you? Genuinely curious 😄
Long of the short, overanalyzation on a few lines that I’m 95% sure were just to bring back the “iconicness” of the Black Ops series. And it was her mentioning Alex Mason.
Ultimately, I think she’s a very fascinating and broken character, haunted by a past of loneliness. She’s very different from the Mason bloodline. She doesn’t have close relationships on a friendly/familiar level with anyone as far as I can tell. She created Blackout to bring her heroes back to life. And she’s constantly saying Alex Mason, a guy who was 93 when he returned and she had little time to get to know before he passed away. Also she’s fucking Woods, which I can reason with to an extent even if I still hate that the devs did that.
I’ll touch on these each individually and since I know you enjoy my long ass analyses XD. Also because my headcanons are in and out, I’ll mark them with a different color so you can make assessments on your own.
The bloodline one is easy: Mason’s father was in the military. Mason was in the military. David was in the military. Savannah’s sister Jessica was in the military. And then there’s Savannah, who’s a trillionaire biotech business woman. Not to mention all of them (save for Mason’s father whom I don’t know what he looks like) have similar features: dark hair, dark eyes (save for Mason’s eye color change in BO1 and BO2), squarer face. Savannah has blue eyes, blonde hair, and a thin shaped face. She’s the outcast of the Mason bloodline solely through career choice and looks alone. She might look like her mother (given Jessica’s daughter Lucy is a blonde and blue eyes as well) but we never see the mother so who knows. Not to mention Savannah’s not married and her last name is Mason-Meyers, indicating she may have a different mother than Jessica (Jessica’s last name is Mason-Green, and while she may have picked it up from her husband, it still doesn’t change the fact it’s Savannah Mason-Meyers and not Savannah Mason, even if she goes by both).
The familiar one becomes obvious with the way she treats Lucy. It’s almost… too formal. This is just bad writing, so I can’t speak too much about this, but with the knowledge Savannah killed Jessica because Jessica found out Savannah was trying to bring back the dead and didn’t agree with it, it makes it awkward and hints that maybe the sisters weren’t too close. Lucy is under Savannah’s care, but we never see her again, partly because she’s become irrelevant to the story but also because Savannah probably just doesn’t spend time with Lucy. Savannah’s other relationships are all for business reasons only, and we never feel any sense of friendship between her and her colleagues.
She very much mirrors Menéndez’s life: a lonely one where she’s at the top but no one is there to join her. Which is another funny point. Menéndez haunts her in her sleep. He talks to her, scared her, basically does Menéndez things. However, Savannah doesn’t share David’s childhood trauma where hearing Menéndez’s voice makes sense. Given that Jessica is canonly 12 when BO2 rolls around, Savannah would be between 14-20 when BO2 happens. Meaning Menéndez probably visited her at some point like he did with Woods to scare her off.
Interestingly, Menéndez is a Blackout operator, so who knows why Savannah “revived” him from the dead. Maybe he was nice to her?
Nah, that doesn’t sound like Menéndez.
To touch on Blackout, Blackout is interesting because it represents all those Savannah admired who have died and she recreates. Which I think is comedic because David is there, and there’s a lot in BO4 that suggests she didn’t like David.
Ignoring the fact she isn’t a military person (but is familiar with weapons), Savannah never mentions David once. Neither does Jessica but she’s “dead” for the majority of the story so we can’t say much about that. Every time Savannah talks about the people who inspired her, Alex Mason comes up. It’s clear she has a deep attachment to Mason, which is odd considering the game follows the canon BO2 ending, she got something between a few months to a few years to get to know him, whereas she knows about David her entire life. Her famous quote even says “You’re all just numbers.”
We know from BO2 David didn’t really like Mason, he just kind of accepted he had been killed by “some nut.” It isn’t until the non-canon ending in which Mason died does David finally realize Mason was an amazing father. By then, Savannah’s at minimum 14 years old. Since BO4 goes by the canon ending, David never fully reaches this realization.
So where’s the Mason praise come from?
In all honesty, it was probably from Woods.
David retires from the military in the non-canon ending when Mason dies. But because he’s not retired in the canon ending, we can say that he’s still J-SOC/SEAL Team 6, which indicates he’s on long oversea missions quite often. While Jessica may felt pride in her father since she also joined the military, Savannah may have felt betrayal and neglect. To her, not having David around meant she never established a relationship with him. It’s possible David also had relationship problems, and Savannah didn’t get the needed support from her mother either.
Which leads on to the Woods point, and this is all headcanon that I’m not going to color because big blocks of different coloured texts give people headaches.
Woods probably took care of Jessica and Savannah while David was away. We know Woods was a badass father seeing how David turned out and how he cares deeply for David despite David not always reciprocating the feeling, according to BO2. Knowing Woods, he probably told them lots of stories about Mason, and both girls were fascinated by him. Savannah, however, took to the stories far deeper than Jessica did. Perhaps she took Woods’ care too seriously too, and thought it was a romance rather than a father-daughter style thing. And so after he passed, she made an archetype of him to fuck since he was the only person who really loved her for herself.
Unfortunately this contradicts with Savannah villainizing Hudson and Woods and saying Vorkuta never happened, and Mason’s just been brainwashed by Woods and Hudson. So… I usually don’t like to acknowledge this part of the story. There’s really no way to chalk this one up to sense no matter how I try, except that maybe Savannah was an angst fanfic writer who wanted every thing bad to happen to Mason so she could relate to him better.
We never do find out if Jessica defeats Savannah, but she probably is because COD likes their “good guys win bittersweetly” endings except for BO3 and Ghosts. I’m not saying Savannah did anything right, rather she’s very much in the wrong. But I find her fascinating in so many ways and taking the worst of the BO4 story to turn it into something that makes sense.

idk how many of you played BO3 and BO4 (I'm not touching them with a 10 foot pole, sorry), but those who have, the Archetype and DNI storylines 👀
In the BO2 timeline, both Amelia and Jamie were killed in action, and Savannah, Amelia and David's daughter, decided to bring them back with the Archetype program, 20+ years later
Plot twist - she brainwashed the twins and turned them into her personal assassins, the most deadliest of all the specialists. When a mission goes wrong, someone captures the pair, breaks the brainwashing, and shoves them into cryogenic stasis, where they're eventually discovered by Hendricks and Taylor

E3 2019 overview
I wanted to take the time to look at and talk about some of the games we’re more than likely seeing at the conference. E3 is...dying and it’s misleading trailers don’t help, but despite this, the show is still important and at least gives us a little insight into what may come in games/tech. So let’s cross our fingers and dive in. I’ll be focussing more on main titles and not DLC and updates. Available footage will be linked in the corresponding title.
Avengers project (Crystal Dynamics/ Square Enix)
It feels like ages since the teaser for the Avengers project dropped. Since then I have been trying to keep my hopes high, I even thought it was canceled for a time when we heard literally nothing since that trailer. I know nothing about this game, but I just hope Crystal Dynamics and Square are treating something this big with the care it needs. The last thing Marvel, more importantly Disney, want is another Battlefront 2 situation on their hands. If Square can incorporate their over the top combat style to the Marvel universe, it could be amazing, incredible, invinci- okay I’ll stop.
Borderlands 3
Getting back into Borderlands just before the big press release was very serendipitous. Something about this made me even more excited for some of the additions coming like loot instancing, slide/mantle (finally), secondary fire weapons, more diverse and varied play spaces, and a lot more. So many of BL2 and the Pre-Sequel’s flaws are glaring with me having played them recently and to see the long-awaited title addressing these exact issues so comforting when I get to thinking about this next adventure into the wastes. It isn’t some massive leap forward or anything, it’s more Borderlands and there’s nothing wrong with that to me. Finally, an online optional looter shooter that isn’t some strange mmo lite, long live the king. Randy Pitchford is a weirdo but I’m not gonna hold that against the devs lol.
Cyberpunk 2077
This is more than likely going to be my game of the show. E3 is typically full of surprises and anything can happen but in all honesty, I just can’t see much coming close especially since we aren’t seeing Death Stranding (thattrailertho). I was literally giddy when they released the gameplay trailer that they showed press and influencers and the FPS RPG looked very good but not unrealistic. Recently it’s come out that the game is “pretty different” from that showcase and that statement interests me as much as it gives me pause. Regardless, we are going to be seeing more of this game with CDPR claiming they’ll have an even bigger presence than last year. I just hope that we get solid gameplay footage and not buzzwords and theatrical trailers.
CoD 2019
Black Ops 4 came out guns drawn and it really impressed at first. Since that time Activision has found a way to completely reverse the conversation around BO4 and where the franchise is headed/ is as a whole. Activision needs a win, and with this being their main and essentially only franchise it has to be big. The rumor is that it’s Modern Warfare 4 which would be a “soft reboot” if that is the case. If not this year then next, I’m surprised it’s even taken them this long so hopefully all this time will lead to something good. Honestly, I’m shocked we’re still getting annual releases of this game. I don’t forsee CoD lasting much longer and this tug at our nostalgia may be a sign of that.
Destroy All Humans (THQ Nordic)
I spent so many hours with my friend Walter terrorizing the meat bags between the tools the game devs gave us and some gamer creativity that was a relatively new aspect of gaming compared to nowadays where player creativity is often an aspect of gameplay. THQ has reported something insane like 50+ games in development which...sounds like a stupid choice but if this is one of them it’s definitely going to get people’s heads turning. Can you imagine what they’ll be able to do with today’s tech? They don’t have to go crazy but then again for the sake of a concise vision but...maybe they should?
Dino Crisis (Capcom)
Let’s talk more about old ass games I’m completely shocked could be coming back. So in light of Capcom bringing back past titles and breathing new life into them, it is reported that Capcom is looking to bring back...Dino Crisis? I swear to god if they make Dino Crisis before Viewtiful Joe and Onimusha? POWER STONE ANYONE?? I’m more than willing to suspend my meh-ness because Capcom has proved that not only can they bring back an old game we love, but they can do it damn well. If this is true, then maybe there is hope for some of my favorite Capcom titles from the past but mother of god why Dino Crisis?
Doom Eternal
Doom 2016 was one of the best first-person shooters I’ve ever played. “Smooth as butter” isn’t something I would use to describe most games but god damn if that game wasn’t lubed up before they packaged it because it’s damn slick. So imagine the stiffy I got when that gameplay was dropped and mobility was increased. Can we talk about the grappling hook shotgun? The new demons and takedowns to dispatch said demons? God knows what else is under the hood for us to find out when it releases let alone when they talk about it during the conference. A more open level design in tandem with the conventional “kill room” here and there is gonna really spice up the combat especially if exploration is properly rewarded. Rage 2 was a disappointment but I do have hope this is gonna live up to the hype the way it did the first time.
Gears of War 5
Lawd Microsoft needs a win. This is quite clearly their attempt at a blockbuster event like God of War was for Sony. Everything about the trailer screams “Oscar bait but for games” and I hope they do the damn thing. Make me sad I don’t have an Xbox dammit! This could be a big step for Gears and could even lead it down a more character focussed design. The world of Gears of War is rich for a deeper explanation, and I know that isn’t what Gears is known for but I won’t be told that they can’t do both. It appears to be heavily cinematic though gameplay can be seen in the trailer above. It seems interesting and I hope they really make something worth owning an Xbox for. The fans deserve it.
Halo: Infinite
Did I say Microsoft needs a win from the software perspective? Cause they do. The Xbox One is fine, the One X is a huge step up and is the most powerful console but there are next to no exclusives for this console. Ya know, the reason why you buy a certain console outside of interface and services. What better way than to bring back the most successful franchise Microsoft has associated with. There’s talk of it having an open world which is jarring initially especially when the history of Halo is rich with environments that tell stories alongside the mid-range combat. If they can properly expand that baseline to fit an open world format, it’ll be amazing. Whether or not they can is the question.
Harry Potter: Magic Awakened
Warner Brothers does a great job of shooting themselves square in the foot. They just put on the finest shoes money can buy and BAM queue the red kool-aid fountain. Shadow of War is the pinnacle of such stupidity with the way the monetization completely bankrupted the integrity of the game. The brief footage that was up involved a third-person real-time action reminiscent of the original games. Warner Bros. jumped on the trailer takedown but it’s safe to say the cat is out of the bag and casting spells in the kitchen. This could be a unique adventure involving a custom character, it could involve something more directly related to the books. Anything is possible but if we heard about it this year it wouldn’t entirely surprise me.
My Friend Pedro
A twin stick shooter of a different kind. Imagine stranglehold but cartoony, John Wick but even more comic book like. It looks like the entire game is going to be centered around ballerina jumping through levels and enemies leaving every enemy in your wake riddled with bullets. It seems light, fun, and self-aware in it’s silliness which can lead to the most fun type of games.
Session
Oh boy, SKATE was my jam back in high school and if you’re anything like me you’ve been waiting for the next game/ literally anything like it to come along. Session appears to be that game, we weren’t told a lot when it was revealed so I’m hoping that E3 will lead to some more information on gameplay and ya know, a release date.
Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order
Anthem is in shambles and in my opinion, it’s this year’s No Man’s Sky. Between the games they put out, and the Star Wars games they put out (or don’t put out depending on your perspective); this does not bode well at all. Respawn is working on the project and their track record is very good, but I can’t help but worry about what EA is planning. They always find a way to put their hand directly into a project and do exactly what needs to be done to ruin it. Sometimes that’s on the front end in development and planning or lack thereof, and sometimes it’s on the back end with moving devs to other projects/ not hold their devs to the post-launch promises they tend to make and not fulfill. This story of a padawan in hiding after Order 66 is ripe for gameplay development and storytelling. So long as Respawn has the vision and can execute, all we need is for EA to stay the fuck away and let them work. We’ll see.
honorable mentions: Ori and the Will of the Wisps, Vampire Bloodlines 2, From Soft and George R. R. Martin collab, Fable remake, Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad, Wolfenstein Young Blood, Afterparty, Beyond Good and Evil 2, Bleeding Edge (Ninja Theory’s new game), Last of Us 3 (v hype just not a lot of info)

My Comments About the Black Ops 4 Reveal, and its Zombies.
Hello everyone!
You probably already know me as the moderator of this page, however, I do not believe that I have never formally introduced myself.
My name is James, and I have been a Call of Duty fan since the old school Call of Duty 4 days. I would consider myself a veteran of the series, and have stood by it through thick and thin as I developed a love of the staple Zombies mode that this community has come to know and love - Treyarch’s in particular - which is why I started this blog; to pay homage to the depth of Treyarch’s design, and bring together the Zombies fans of tumblr!
Time has passed, and I can honestly say that i no longer feel the same about the Call of Duty series as a whole. The repetition of the modes, the need for the franchise to throw us further and further into the future, and further from the core aspects that brought so many people to love the CoD games all together have driven me from the games for the past couple years. And yet, I still find myself going back time and time again to play the Treyarch installments of the Zombies gamemode.
If you haven’t guessed it already, I am not a fan of any takes on the Zombies mode that isn’t Treyarch, as I feel that they are simply Activision forcing the mode on to Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer to cater to the Zombies “hype”. But that is not what this post is about.
The reason why i have come forward to formally today is to discuss the mixed feelings that the community seems to be having about the Black Ops 4 take on the Zombies series, and share with you my personal opinion on what we have been shown thus far.
REMEMBER: THIS IS JUST MY PERSONAL OPINION! IT IS OKAY IF WE DO NOT AGREE WITH EACH OTHER! :)
So, without further adieu, let’s get into it:
Today, as a Zombies community, we got a special treat when Jason Blundell took to the stage and gave us a plethora of information regarding the upcoming Zombies season. From a person who has stood by and waited extra months to hear any sort of Zombies info during past Treyarch reveals, I was happy to see that we were finally seen as a huge part of the Call of Duty franchise, and given a reveal of our own. Today, we received not one, not two, but three Zombies trailers! However, my joy quickly turned to dismay as Blundell gave the stage over to Craig Houston who informed us all that the Zombies series was taking a new and distinct narrative, complete with a new cast of characters.
And this, is where my major gripe lies.
I am all for trying new things, and all for random celebrity cameos like in Call of Dead or Shadows of Evil, however, Black Ops 4′s Zombies is being marketed, and was revealed as, a NEW AND DISTINCT NARRATIVE. From what we have seen, it looks nothing like Zombies that we have known. The characters are goofy looking and quirky. The trailers gave nothing to us in terms of relevance to story, no weapons, no perks, or (in the case of the “IX” trailer) a world that seems completely foreign to the Zombies we have come to know and love.
Now, we have seen this before, and a lot of people will say to support Treyarch, to trust them. However, we have seen this scenario before. We have seen a random, new cast of characters thrown into the spotlight, and it failed miserably. TranZit, Die Rise, and Buried were ultimately the WORST of the Treyarch Zombies timeline, and was only saved by Jason Blundell’s inclusion of them in the comic series, and the Origins timeline. I just do not think it will work. There is so much story left to tell. How does the Primis crew break the cycle? Can they? Hell, if they are taking us back to ancient Rome and the Colosseum, why couldn’t we follow Primis back to the 13th century where Monty dropped them? I just do not understand the thought behind this, and I personally will no support it.
I believe the only saving grace from the reveal was the inclusion of the Mob of the Dead remaster, dubbed “Blood of the Dead”, which takes place between Zetsubou no Shima and Gorod Krovi, where Primis travels to Alcatraz to recover their “insurance policy”. An insurance policy which didn’t work. Or did it? WE DON”T KNOW! And I feel that this would be the better route to explore with the upcoming BO4 DLC season.
As for the new maps, “IX” and “Voyage of Despair”, I will not be covering any information regarding it. I am sorry, but I do not support the direction that Treyarch is taking.
You can still expect to see the usual Zombies Facts pages here, as well as concept art, and even coverage regarding Blood of the Dead, but unfortunately you till have to look elsewhere for the new narrative coverage.
If you have read through this entire thing, i thank you, and hope that you find some common ground among my concerns for the future of the Treyarch Zombies narrative. Remember, this is just my opinion on the matter, and, if you are excited by the new narrative, then I am glad for you!
As a personal note, for whatever reason, if Treyarch is reading this, by any chance: please listen to the community, and be aware that a lot of dedicated players want the Primis crew. We want the depth. We want the clarification, and the continuity of the story-arch.
Thank you.

Cold War Rant
Black Ops 4 Spoilers, Endgame Spoilers (Ik it sounds random but u will understand when u read it)
This game has a lot of potential from what I’ve experienced so far great campaign they’re doing great on multiplayer but as good as some things are I do have problems. This is basically a zombies pt 2 rant lol Ik I am salty
1. Once again like all the new games today DLC I hate it. Of course a little bit of dlc here and there is no problem but when you have like thirty characters in the game and you have access to like ten there is a problem. For real it’s like 15 dollars for a character because of the bundles, and shit that’s stupid I mean come on I bought the damn game and now I gotta spend a fortune on characters and other shit that should’ve came with the game. Not everybody has got money to blow on dlc
2. Zombies the zombies mode in here pains me along with me being absolutely, positively pissed and enraged with bo4 aether zombies ending this mode has a lot to be desired they turned it into a battle royale esque thing and it has no remnants of zombies it’s like a completely different game mode and I am not sure if that was the point or not but frankly I don’t like that. The maps are boring I have never been so bored out of my mind while playing zombies but I guess there is a first time for everything and despite what you might be thinking I really did give it a chance multiple times as well and every time it disappoints me it’s just boring plain and simple
3. I know they are never gonna do it but I wish they fix that damn bo4 ending it was disgustingly terrible and I hate hate hated it it’s like the characters you know and loved die for nothing the end that’s like if iron man had sacrificed himself for nothing it’s like he dies and you see Thanos in another universe coming to do the same thing that this one failed to do it’s just stupid and doesn’t make any sense the reason that this is included in the cold war rant is because they still have an opportunity to bring them back and I don’t care if they said they were done with them if their fans mean anything to them and if the storyline they spent so long working means anything they will give our guys a proper happy ending
Ofc this is all just my opinion, you don’t have to agree with me after all we each have our own views on things and we are entitled to that. I just wanted to share my thoughts lol 😆 have a great day 😊

Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 Operation Grand Heist Update is Groove, like the ‘70s
Call of Duty is a game series with a long and serious tradition, as everyone is undoubtedly aware of. Unlike many other gaming franchises who kept getting worse, CoD kept getting better and better. According to its fan base, which grew exponentially, this 15th entry Black Ops 4 is the franchise’s peak success, so far. After its release in October 2018, this is the game’s first big patch.
The Grand Heist released on February 19th 2019 and it featured ample new content and heavy bonus features, but with the core game virtually untouched. It seems there was little to be changed as the game’s developer Treyarch and publisher Activision followed the golden rule, which is – You Don’t Fix What Isn’t Broken! SO, here is the announcement trailer in all its glory, in case you missed it:
youtube
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 – Operation Grand Heist
This big update came to PS4 initially and brought new characters, outfits, maps, and an action-packed new and exciting game style. The trailer, although lengthy, is just a short preview of the things in store.
Activision and Treyarch decided to bring back Outrider Specialist and also unveiled the Ghost Town map for the Blackout mode. Also, players with the Black Ops Pass will have access to new maps – Lockup and Casino. Also, they will get the Cosmic Silverback character for Blackout mode.
Two new modes are teased in the trailer – The Hot Pursuit and the One in the Chamber. They also teased more camos, vehicles, weapons, and outfits in development and something still untold coming for the Zombies mode, as a ghoulish entity charged the camera at one instant.
If you haven’t tried Black Ops 4 already, it is a collection of multiplayer modes Competitive MP, Blackout battle royale, and Zombies. It already did much to refresh the entire franchise and step away from the traditional Call of Duty style. The single player campaign was completely dropped out and instead the players can go on solo missions. However, Activision confirmed that they will follow-up the current multiplayer modes with a traditional campaign mode in 2019, with the precise release date still unknown. The rumored title for CoD 2019 campaign mode is Modern Warfare 4.
The media campaign for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 featured voices from many famous actors and the appearance of the brilliant Peter Stormare, who is here to present the Operation Grand Heist update.
youtube
Operation Grand Heist is free and it rocks!
Besides bringing in new content for all playable modes, Black Ops 4 Operation Grand Heist features a ‘70s-styled heist theme with cosmetics, visuals, and personalization to match.
  The Outrider
The Outrides is known to the hardcore fans of the franchise from Black Ops 3. She is known for stealth and precision, and her explosive longbow called Sparrow, with which she takes out her enemies from afar.
  Ghost Town
Ghost Town is the biggest new area on the Blackout map, and it is a mix of Standoff from BO2 and Berries, which are old school maps from Modern Warfare and other earlier installations. The underground part is Zombies map Buried. While the Standoff map is known for its long-range combat availability, the underground part is a claustrophobic experience and will change the stakes. So, basically, the CoD team took a map from zombies and from the multiplayer mode and mashed them together, in a western-themed area – Ghost Town. The main game designed and art leads presented the map on the Call of Duty YouTube channel here:

Sneaky Loot Boxes – A Grand Heist of Our Wallets?
And, finally, the part than Activision ‘forgot’ to mention are the new Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 loot boxes. However, online detectives and protectors of the common folk are up to the challenge and already came to our aid. A lot of the high-profile sites have seriously condemned Activision in the past few months for its financial practice and policy, calling it anti-consumer and anti-workforce. This was targeted at 8% of their workers being laid off, which is around 800 workers now without jobs. And, the saga continues with this commercial in-game purchase option – the Reserve Crates.
CoD BO4 Operation Grand Heist Reserve Crates, i.e. loot boxes, can be purchased for CoD Points and they will come in packages of 3, at a price of 200 CoD points and this goes on top of the $50 cost for the Black Ops Pass and the $60 for purchasing the game.
Call of Duty Points Prices in USD:
200 Call of Duty Points – $1.99
500 Call of Duty Points – $4.99
1100 Call of Duty Points – $9.99
2400 Call of Duty Points – $19.99
5000 Call of Duty Points – $39.99
9500 Call of Duty Points – $74.99
13000 Call of Duty Points – $99.99

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 v Battlefield V – which shooter should you buy?
While older games such as Overwatch and Rainbow Six: Siege continue to hold relevance in 2018 – thanks mainly to rabidly faithful fan bases and ongoing content support – two of the biggest franchises in the genre continue to pump out new titles like clockwork.
So now the winter months have arrived and EA and Activision have unleashed their respective behemoths, the eternal question rears its ugly head once more. Which one is the best? Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 or Battlefield V? If you’re looking to sink your hard-earned cash into one of these triple-A beasts, but can’t decide between them, we’ve got you covered.
Improvements and changes
Of the two, BO4 features the most changes to the classic CoD formula. Regenerative health is out, and in its place is a new Stim Shot system. So now you’ll need to tap ‘L1’/’LB’ after taking damage in order to restore your health. The ‘boots on the ground’ ethos introduced in last year’s CoD: WW2 continues, so there’s no boost jumps or wall-running.
The mini-map has also been adjusted to include a feature known as ‘Fog of War’. The idea here is you can see information on the map in regards to your immediate vicinity, so you’re kept on your toes with more systemic firefights. Specialists also have more team-oriented special gear, such as the ability to enemy locations on the map or instantly heal every team member in the game.
For BFV, movement speed (at both a standard pace and at sprint) has been increased, and guns also come up a lot faster as well. BF1 was a far slower affair, designed to reflect the attrition of trench warfare, but BFV embraces a greater sense of momentum. You can sprint into doors and smash them open, and you now have noticeably more freedom of movement when prone. You can even sprint while crouching as well.
Fortification is a new feature for BFV, which enables any player in any class to pull out a hammer and begin constructing everything from sandbag walls and gun nests to health stations. When used correctly, especially when defending an objective, this feature is incredibly useful and gives defending players far more clout in a fight. Destruction is also more dynamic this year, with entire buildings collapsing in real-time with no pre-determined animations.
You can now earn ‘Requisition Points’ for completing objectives and certain actions, which enable the leader of each four-man/woman squad to call in powerful reinforcements. Revive animations have been overhauled to add more immersion and the sheer speed of respawns (including spawning on a squadmate in real-time) to wonders to keep you invested in each ongoing firefight.
Gunplay and combat
Improvements to weapon handling, TTK (time to kill) and gear adjustments are present in both BO4 and BFV, but they’re far more acute in the former. While the classic run-and-gun ‘feel’ of CoD is still present, everything has been tuned to suit more of an Overwatch-style team ethos. As a result, it takes noticeably longer to successfully kill another player due to a higher damage threshold. BO4 also has a ‘Guns Up’ feature, which enables you to return fire even if you’re priming a grenade or mantling some scenery.
BFV’s changes are more subtle – the classic formula honed in BF1 remains largely recognizable here – but they’re still significant. Recoil has been noticeably reduced and all four of the default weapons for its classes are surprisingly powerful (and customized with buffs known as specializations).
As a result, BO4’s gunplay takes a lot longer to get used to, as it’s been fundamentally altered to make it suit the health system and the symbiosis shared between Specialists. BFV’s is more rewarding overall, thanks mainly to its speed and the tightness of its hit-boxes, but both still feel distinctly different.
Maps and modes
BO4’s biggest new addition is Blackout mode, developer Treyarch’s answer to the Battle Royale craze Fortnite and PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds (PUBG) have helped create and sustain. Set on one giant map filled with locations that call back to memorable moments from the Black Ops franchise, you’ll airdrop in and have to search for weapons and gear. With CoD’s slick gunplay mechanics and all that triple-a polish, Blackout has proved an exciting (if not wholly original) addition to Multiplayer and Zombies.
Zombies returns with two different storylines – the classic ‘Aether’ timeline and the new ‘Chaos’ one. The latter is a real treat, dropping you into multiple locations through history, including fighting the undead in a Roman arena and aboard a sinking Titanic. Teamwork is more important than ever, but at least Zombies is embracing its silliness again.
BFV is receiving its own Battle Royale mode, known as Firestorm, but it’s not due to arrive until March 2019, so there’s a bit of wait before then. However, it has introduced Grand Operations, a new mode set across four in-game days. Incorporating multiple maps and game types and tying them into one giant conflict, you and 63 other players will battle back and forth for territory and objectives with guns, tanks and spitfires. It’s BFV at its most immersive, and is unlike any other FPS experience out there.
In terms of maps, BO4 does offer more value for money with 14 available to play from launch. Some of these are remakes of classic maps such as Jungle and Firing Range, but there are some genuinely great new additions such as the arctic Icebreaker (which uses a submarine trapped in ice as its central structure). However, the 12 maps to be added later are gated behind the paid Black Ops pass.
BF4 only launches with eight maps, but these are comparatively larger than those in BO4 to accommodate the series’ signature use of vehicles. While they do lack any of the dynamic events featured in previous Battlefields, they’re still some of the best in level design, such the urban sprawl of Rotterdam and the snowy mountain assault of Fjell 652. Its additional maps will also be free to play over the next 12 months thanks to the free Tides of War DLC schedule.
Single-player campaign
When it comes to playing offline content, BO4 doesn’t have much of a leg left to stand on since it infamously dropped the traditional campaign in favour of the new Battle Royale mode, Blackout. There are some solo missions, known as Specialist Dossiers, which are short narrative experiences that give each Specialist character class a brief backstory while serving as tutorial on their basic traits and abilities, but they’re a far cry from the heyday of the Modern Warfare series.
BFV does have a campaign, however, opting to keep the anthology-style War Stories format of BF1. There are fewer stories than that 2016 entry, but each of its four chapters are considerably longer at around 90-120 minutes each. They’re mostly sombre in tone, as you’d expect, but with a nice mix of vehicular, assault and stealth gameplay (the Norwegian ‘Nordlys’ mission is the highlight) – they’re a far cry from the forgettable days of BF3 and BF4’s own campaigns.
This is one area BO4 simply can’t compete, and it’s a decision entirely of its own making. Some might see the solo campaign as an outmoded experience that fans don’t enjoy anymore, but that only depends on the quality of the storytelling and the action within. War Stories doesn’t break any boundaries, but it offers an ideal way to break up your time in the multiplayer mode, and proves single-player content still has a place in triple-A shooters.
Post-launch content
In terms of DLC, EA has laid out its content roll out for BFV for the coming months. Known as the Tides of War, the setup will be entirely free, meaning no more expensive Premium Passes. Tides of War will bring new weapons, vehicles, cosmetic items, timed events and much more. It even includes the fourth chapter of War Stories and its Battle Royale mode, Firestorm (although the last two really should have arrived at launch).
BO4, on the other hand, is keeping to the premium route with the new Black Ops Pass. While previous CoDs opted for four DLC packs (including new multiplayer maps and a Zombies chapter each) spread out across the year, the new system simply locks it all away behind a one-time payment… and it’s a big one at $49.99. That’s about the same price as the season pass for last year’s CoD: WW2, but the lack of smaller pack access is un-customer friendly at best.
This pass does net you 12 multiplayer maps to be released over the next year, four new Zombie ‘experiences’ and four new characters for use in the Blackout mode. But considering BFV’s Tides of War pass is entirely free and will include new maps, events and much more (something EA also did with Star Wars: Battlefront 2), it’s not hard to do the maths when it comes to getting more bang for your buck.
BO4 vs BFV: which one should you buy?
Question is, which one comes out on top in 2018? That entirely comes down to what you want from a big budget shooter. If you’re someone who enjoys the team-work aspect of Overwatch with characters that bring specific roles to a match, BO4’s multiplayer will definitely appeal. Likewise, if you love Fortnite and PUBG but want a new alternative, Blackout mode is slick and full of that classic CoD gunplay.
If you enjoyed the historical settings of CoD: WW2 and BF1, then BFV will scratch your itch perfectly. With its vast array of customizable vehicles and squad-based gameplay, BFV continues the series’ focus on longer and more dynamic battles. If you want a quick and immediate shooter experience, BO4 is for you. If you want something on a much larger scale that rewards working as a squad, with bigger maps as a result (but fewer modes at launch), BFV is your shooter of choice.

🔥something CoD related?
When inspected in close attention, Black Ops 4 is really fascinating.
A world of technology that promises hope for people who need prosthetics, but also a chance to “upgrade your body” to make yourself better and better. More importantly, a brain implant called Direct Neural Interface (DNI) which allows functions like hacking, situational analyzing, and silent communication to be brought to a whole new level, revealing information to the eye never seen before. And all of it is being run by the world’s first Trillionaire, Savannah Mason.
The technology has granted a promise of also bringing back the dead, and Savannah wants nothing more than to return the heroes she’s looked into the real world and create a twisted game in which the best of the best fight for entertainment. Her plans are thrown to shambles when her little sister Jessica catches her, and a fight breaks out, leading to Savannah shooting Jessica in hopes of stopping the pest, then accessing Jessica’s friends’ DNI and altering their memories to think she died of a war accident. Unbeknownst to her, Jessica survives and begins fighting back against the most dangerous person in the world, slowly undoing Savannah’s memory altering and gathering her fellow soldiers to take down that rich bitch.
It’s a pretty standard movie plot, but put that in game format, and BO4 could have been one of the coolest CODs. However, it suffers from having no campaign, poor dialogue and voice acting, an incomplete story in the bit that’s shown (hence poor explanation of the why and how), and the writer/director’s lack of understanding towards past characters. BO4 had a real potential to be a completely different type of Call of Duty (some sort of Aquama-Hunger Games-Ex Machina hybrid), but because the developers decided Blackout Battle Royale was the main priority of the game, the opportunity wasn’t taken.
Also, Savannah and Woods being a thing is… kinda something they probably should have cut but hey, Savannah was born sometime between 2008-2011 so she grew up thirsting over older guys like the rest of us…
Yeah I can’t really explain that one.
